had a busy morning letting people know how P is doing, hearing from DD in Australia......40+ degrees down there, too hot for her.......the. To hospital this afternoon. Update on YEO, didn’t want to clog it up here. Doing well.

We signed up to Netflix last week, thought it would be nice for DH when he is having to take it easy, but I’m really enjoying it myself. Have watched a few good films and am now enjoying The Crown, really good.

Enfys - I'm sure you will both enjoy having Netflix while OH is recuperating. wish we could get it.

We had Netflix for a couple of years but didn’t really watch it. We are not avid watchers of anything much to be honest and find we tend to chat through programmes even when we have decided they are good to watch. Lots of the time I star watching something and find I have completely lost what is going on, I was going to say lost the plot but everyone knows that I lost that yonks ago!

Good news Enfys keep us informed, you will be busy with calls but it’s good that people are checking up on him, Australian weather phew hot hot hot !!!!
We went to Builda bear today for g/d to spend vouchers we bought at Xmas , a pleasant experience she loved it, but blimey expensive, we gave her a voucher for £35 and I still had to put £12 to, that bought the bear, beating heart I found a bit creepy, a smell in the body she chose popcorn bizarre I know, and a voice that says I love you, 2 outfits and shoes but she has played with it all day and it’s gone to bed with her. Fed her at McDonald’s, she’s growing up ladies she’s only seven but she cleared the table put it all in the rubbish station , I watched her walking she had some jeggings on in denim and a sequin top and I thought she is no longer a baby, she has been going to gymnastics for some time and has a really athletic body wide shoulders, muscles in arms and legs felt quite choked over my chicken strips. She’s also started Brownies I don’t know how her mum does it, she goes swimming too every week guess that’s helping her posture. asleep in grandmas bed now and she’s still my baby then 😥Mum coming for dinner again as she picks her up no roast this week cottage pie and veg plus Yorks puds and apple pie for afters if I can get my bum in gear in the morning

Good morning everyone.Its supposed to be a complete washout here again today but that’s better than some parts of the country that has had/having snow. Hope any of you who have had that while falling stuff aren’t too inconvenience by it.

Gem I took GD to build a bear a few years ago and the prices were expensive then , I can only imagine how much they have increased now.

Enfys hope you you are enjoying the films on Netflix, we have Sky movies, OH doesn’t watch them much but I enjoy them . Yesterday I watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean.Salazar’s Revenge. Can’t beat a bit of Captain Jack Sparrow to brighten up a dull wet Saturday afternoon.


We haven’t any plans for today , we will just have to see what the day brings .

Good morning everyone. It's very wet and dull here and I don't think there's much chance of anything better. I can see it will be wellies and my old sailing jacket for taking Eva out today - very chic, you know, ladies!!!!

What nice cheerful graphics to start the day.

Qwerty - None of our GC have been into teddy bears, so we've been spared the Build-a-Bear type of experience. My purse is very thankful!!!! Our GD is much the same age, and she's also growing up so quickly. She's quite tall and slim with endless legs and knows what suits her - even getting changed after school she will put together leggings and a top that 'go' together really well. Her mum makes sure she has age-appropriate clothes, GD seems to have an in-built sense of style. GD2 on the other hand has just had new trainers. She scorned all the glittery pink ones (to Mum's relief!) and went for navy blue ones with flashing dinosaurs on!

Mimi - watch your blood pressure - too much Captain Jack Sparrow at our age can be dangerous you know!!!

No plans for us either, today. OH is still very poorly - I was quite worried about him last night. He slept in the spare room because he kept coughing, so I kept going in to check he was ok. I think I might need a nana nap this afternoon!!

I hope Enfys' OH has had a comfortable night. Hoping all the other poorly Grannies and OHs are feeling better.

Morning all teeming with rain again 😕 makes dog walking on the heath treacherous. If course Shiloh doesn't mind in the least. Apart from doggy duty, no plans. Eldest DD Visiting later and roast chicken for dinner. Daisy hope hubby starts to feel better soon.

Qwerty, we took GD to Build A Bear for her Easter present when she was 5 (and have promised to take GS this Easter as he is 5 now) It was very expensive, but a fun day out!
MY GD is a similar age to Qwertys and Daisys. Slim and fit too, she does ballet and karate. To my sadness she now hates anything pink, or too girly and certainly will never wear a dress!! Leggings and tops seem to be the clothing of choice at their age doesn't it?
I hope OH's cough clears up soon Daisy. I have heard of several people with these persistent things this winter.

Morning Ladies off to meet friends for a Sunday morning cupper and chat , After lunch my Brother is coming and I think our Martin after tea , .
B has a Rib eye Beef joint cooking slowly in the oven smells lovely although I'm not a great Beef liker these joints are lovely .

I think I might blame him for a lot of things as this morning he was upstairs and I changed the lamp's in our bedroom yesterday he never notices unless I tell him

Daisy so sorry your OH is so poorly.I think it’s like G has been this last week. It is worrying I know I’ve been there.Plenty of rest and fluids I think..G’s cough has certainly improved from what it was but still sounds awful at times.

It was snowing here a while ago but hasn’t pitched but then it rarely does here. Bedroom cleared apart from bed. Himself was a grumpy guts earlier on. Unusual for him and I don’t like it So was going to give a good slap alongside the ear but refrained. Went to Wickes to get a drill bit and something else (forgotten what it was now) and saw a really nice bathroom cabinet. £199, he won’t let me buy it. Well I know I am going to be unemployed but we don’t have to live like paupers! Oh and he was grumpy before that, he got up that way and then spent an hour faffing around on his iPad while I cleaned the kitchen. I asked him to get me some stuff down from the cupboards to save me having to climb on my little step stool, how many times did I ask him? Has he done it even now? Answers on a postcard........ apart from that I have also cleaned the bathroom. I might even get the hot hissy thing out and do a little bit of that horrid job. I have a bag full of shirts and duvet covers etc which I will take to the fairy this week sometime.

I have a flipping cold sore threatening to burst forth as well. Crikey I am a flipping stage this week...........
