The tiredness is all the emotion strain your under Enfys , its always there , you go to sleep worrying about it and wake up worrying about it ,
On the outside you look fine to everyone but inside its like a food mixer all churning up ,
I felt sick a lot of the time , I had to learn to put it too one side or I would have gone insane ,
its not easy but not impossible either , Enjoy Christmas then take everything as it comes one day at a time xxxx

Enfys, I'm not surprised you're 'up and down'. It's a huge strain coping with everything, including two severe shocks, in such a short time. Be kind to yourself, and I'm sure Oma's advice is very wise. She's amazing how she's coped with everything - and you are too. xx

Plant - I'm glad they can treat the Vit D deficiency, and this time you are at least starting from a higher level. Not many people can say they enjoy seeing their doctor - yours is obviously a star.

I think we've been lucky with the weather today - as I said earlier I cut the lawn - it was perfectly dry, although the ground was wet. It's not great, but it does look a bit tidier. It was quite windy, and now the rain has set in.

Enfys we went through enormous strains when OH first came home from hospital, just as stress is what he was supposed to avoid but life soon became a routine of tablet taking and changing a few eating habits and exercise. Sounds easy compared to what challenges you and your OH are facing I know but you will cope because you have to , you will come through this.
It seems so unfair I know , you have had one shock after another in such a short time and you may feel that you have to appear to friends and family that you are ok and trying to appear as if you are in control is an enormous stress in its self as I’m sure Oma will vouch for.

What horrible weather we are having tonight, the cat is refusing to ‘go outside ‘ , the little so in so will most probably wait till I am asleep and then wake me up demanding to go out .

Good morning everyone. Nanto - I'm glad you made it clear it's the weather that's windy!!!

It's dry and still a bit windy here, but the rain has stopped and the sky is fairly clear. I hope Mimi's cat didn't wake her up in the night wanting to go out!

I've got an exciting trip to the dentist this morning - check up and then hygienist - lucky me. After that I think Eva will be ready for a good run, and I must start thinking about tomorrow's dinner - we've got friends coming round for a belated birthday celebration for one of them.

Daisy I hope the dentist gives you a clean bill of health teethwise. Do you find Eva goesa bit crazy in the wind? When I was a lunchtime supervisor I always noticed how the children seeemed to have extra energy and silliness in a high wind.
The oven man is coming “between 9and 11” so I can’t really get stuck into anything until he ( could be she I suppose ) has been.

Yes, Eva gets even more excitable in high winds - in fact if it's too windy we don't take her out. I can imagine a playground full of very excited children being quite a handful!

Wind has dropped, garden and courtyard is covered with golden beech leaves. Off to Aqua this morning, not sure what the rest of the day will bring. DD and SIL are having their new cooker fitted today, very expensive replacement.

Hope you get your cooker sorted Clover. I agree the children do get hyper when it is windy, they would have been chasing the leaves yesterday.

Still windy here too Nan2, but less than last night.

I hope the oven man/woman arrives soon Clover.
Emotion is so tiring Enfys. I think you and OH are doing so well and keeping as positive as you can. You will have a few down days, just ride them and they will pass. If you remember I had my operation on January 4th last year. I don't think we let it change Christmas and New Year, apart from for some reason I decided I wasn't making mince pies! We are always here to listen.
Oma talks a lot of sense. She and Mimi know what it is like. Me too of course, as my OH's cancer is incurable, so as Oma says I feel sick often, worry at every cough or sign of tiredness, but in the end we just get on from day to day - to avoid insanity!!

My mum and I are going to see my sister this afternoon. I was due to be working this morning (catsitters treatment in lieu of payment) She moved that to next week, so we are going back to the carpet shop. Apart from that all I have to do is mums shopping, and maybe write a few Christmas cards.

Popped out for some fresh air this morning , it was a little too 'fresh ' for my liking so went to the shop and brought a pint ( an I allowed to still say pint ) of milk and came straight back home. I was out for a total of 5 mins !

Lovely here, just been for a dip. Going out in an hour or so to spend money, well that is my idea, his is to look at things guess who will win?

had a visit from lovely black and white cat last night. Definitely not feral, popped in again this morning hoping for breakfast I think! Monkeys been dashing around all over the place as well. Swollen ankles this morning, one worse than the other, the one that I hurt over here three or four years ago, I think it might be reminding me not to wear expensive high heels, well I haven’t brought any with me this time only flip flops, trainers and flats. Haven’t been able to wear high heels since the incident which is a shame given how many pairs I have.

it is 8am here and there has already been an ice cream van riding around! Even in this warm weather I don’t think I want ice cream for breakfast! We have both been up since 5.30am so I might need half an hour nana nap before we go out as Bridgetown is very busy and not a lot of chance of a rest there.
