Good morning Nan2, Mimi, and everyone else.

Plant, glad you had a lovely day.
Mimi, today sounds like a good day to start your online shopping
Daisy, last night I had courgette fritters to start, followed by pork loin with apricot, a lovely dark sauce/gravy, with horseradish mash and red cabbage. All totally delicious

I got OH to bring the Christmas card box down from the loft yesterday, when she was getting the Halloween decorations down for me.
Today is GS1 from school. then back to his. There was talk of us catching up with friends this evening, but we haven't heard from them since it was first mentioned, so we don't know if it's happening. Just a catch up not meal, so no preparation to do if they end up coming here.

    Have a good day everyone.

Thank you all - it is nice to be home again, and I missed you lot, even though I think there's a bit of a conspiracy going on - so many Grannies buying things for December - it's still only OCTOBER where I live!

Plant - look forward to seeing some pics later. How lovely he's so sociable.

Gem - it all sounds delicious. I made braised cabbage for OH's birthday dinner and still have some left. How was yours served?

OH is going to deal with the huge pile of leaves that have arrived in our front garden while we were away, and I've got a couple of loads of washing to get done, plus the inevitable ironing. I probably outght to push the sucky up thingy round as well. How come there are piles of dog hairs lurking round every corner when Eva has been away with us! She left her fair share in the caravan, too! By rights she ought to be bald by now.

I really must get round to putting summer clothes away and digging out my winter ones. I hate winter clothes but hate the cold even more, so I have to get o with it - soon!

My summer clothes are waiting to go on holiday in November after that I will pack them away until March. It is still not warm here, well it is in the sitting room which I will tell you about in a minute. The weather people keep saying it is not but it is not. Might be warm enough to hang one load of washing when I can do it. It is warm in the sitting room as we have had loads of power cuts since Thursday and both the Nest and cooker timers have got confused. Got up this morning and it was like a greenhouse in Kew Gardens in here! Sky outside is grey and overcast.

Power cuts are nothing to to do with the alleged storm, it is a main in a sub station down the road. Annoying because my work laptop will obviously not pick up the internet and I cannot tether it to my work phone as it takes too much power and I have no way of repowering the phone as I am using the temporary power pack to power my iPad which I am using for work emails. This has been going on since last Thursday and is annoying.........

Very strange outside, its extremely muggy, the wind is blowing hard, we have a red/pink/orange sun in the sky and it looks as if its about to pour down
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I don't like this funny colour sky!

Qwerty, when you go to Frankie and Bennys they seem to be singing Happy Birthday every few minutes!!

This morning we took some stuff to the local charity shop, and brought less back
We also went to buy some wood OH needs for a repair .
Now I am setting off into the strange pinky gold sky to collect GS1. I have his birthday presents in the car, so I will go into the house before I go to school and hide them.

                      Bye for now!

What a funny day today, weatherwise. When I went out this morning it was so dark, but warm with a really strange colour to the sky. I really thought we were in for a terrific storm, but nothing happened and now,the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Think it's passed us by now.

I had a very enjoyable morning at the new art group I,discovered last week. A very friendly group of ladies who made me very welcome. I will definately be going again.

Hope everyone has avoided the storm and is having a good day.

I'm glad your art group is a success Enfys.

Apart from a smallish branch landing on my windscreen and shocking me, I made it back from GS's unscathed!
We are popping round to our friends tonight. but it is less than 5 minutes in the car.
