I forgot we were going out tonight! Prizegiving at the golf club. It was a rush to get there after DD and the children left, no time for tea so we got fish and chips on the way home. OH actually got a very nice award, a silver filigree bowl. Most of them were frankly hideous 😁

There was a very keen frost earlier,but it must have warmed up a bit, because it's raining now.

Had a good nights sleep,i slept from about 11 till 5.

Very frosty here. Roofs, cars, lawns and roads all white,
Tonight we are eating out with friends that we haven't seen since early summer, so a lot to catch up on.
This morning we will go to Tesco.We try to avoid weekends usually, but we will take the self scanner round, so it's not so bad.
I have to make some mince pies for a choir event taking place next weekend, the proceeds of which will go to our Friends group, I may do it today and freeze them. It was a case of a sheet being passed around to put your name down at the last meeting.I really did not want to make anything, as I haven't even done our own Christmas food baking yet, but there was no way to avoid it!!!

Enfys - what did you do about your hair?

We've had a hard frost overnight - everywhere is white, but the sun's out and is warm through the windows! Eva showed us her inner Labrador by rushing round like a loony, playing with a ball on a rope. I have a friend who always calls this cold bright weather 'Labrador weather' because they go slightly crazy with joy!

Nanto - I'm surprised your roads haven't been gritted - they seem to get done here at the slightest hint of ice, and in fact we hardly ever get ice or snow!

Gem - you have got a busy day. I hate supermarket shopping at the weekend, but sometimes you can't avoid it. Congratulations to your OH on the trophy. Does she bring it home or does it live in a display case at the Golf Club? Either way, I'm sure she's really pleased.

We had a lovely evening with friends last night. Everyone seemed very impressed with the roasties - I must try and remember how I did them! I ate far too much and thought I'd never get to sleep, but I did! Just got a bit of washing up to do this morning - things that wouldn't go in the dishwasher, then later on we're hoping to go and visit DS2's new puppy!

Thick frost here this morning but we both took tea back to bed, no reason to get up early this morning.

Had a lovely afternoon out with my friend yesterday, lots of chat and laughs, shopping , just what I needed. DH’s friend from his camera club popped round whilst I was out so that was nice for him.

Daisy, I had my hair cut short at the back and sides but left long on top. Really happy with how it’s turned out and I think it will be very easy to manage.

Nothing much planned for today, coffee at DD’s this morning then I am going to finish wrapping presents.

I think it's nice to be able to bring them home. Not everyone gets to win trophies, so it's nice to be able to show them off. I'm glad it was a pretty one.

Enfys - your new hairstyle sounds lovely. It does us good to have a new look sometimes. I'm so glad you had a nice time with your friend and also nice that your OH's friend called round. Does your OH do a lot of photography?

Our new neighbours have just popped round to say hello. Us both still in our dressing gowns! They are a lovely young couple, very friendly and I’m sure we’ll get on well with them. I’m so pleased as the old neighbours were lovely too. They move in properly tomorrow as they’ve been decorating.

Daisy, P’s club is really mainly video and he does lots of video ins and makes little films. Some of the members do photography too and he dabbles. He’s got some editing to do for a competition they had recently so it will keep him busy.

Lots of lovely chat this morning. Lovely and sunny here after a frosty night. Sorry folks to tell you I have now finished my Christmas shopping, very unusual for me, it is easier now I just ask them what they want and give them a price, they send me links and I order it on line. Apart from baby E of course. DS is coming around today to show off his new car and I will give him his birthday present, it is a suitcase he will need it before his birthday on the 8th as they are off to Rome. My DD will never say what she would like so I give her a voucher for her favourite shop.

A busy couple of days for us J sleeping tonight and that's always noisy and fun then up early as he has another match in the morning ,

Youngest GC for lunch tomorrow and we out for a family meal on the night as its Brian's 63rd Birthday tomorrow ,

We started getting all the Christmas decorations out of the loft this morning ,
I know its early but Brian missed it last year being in Hospital and I had to do it all myself so he wants to put them up early , who am I to deny him this joy , he is very much a Christmas person .
Also his excuse is we are away in December and we have lots of appointments so will be pushed for time ,( REALLY ) hahaha
