    Oooh scones please Nana. πŸ˜‹
I refuse to do chores today apart from washing and it’s not as if I have to beat it on a stone. I need to put things in the attic so I will look for drawers, navy sandals, Yorkshire pud tin, blue short sleeved T shirt. They can only be in a suitcase. Mimi, nail that toothpaste down. No airing cupboard Nana, and basket is empty.
I hope all headaches and grottiness soon go.
I’ll just have another coffee, write my card and then be even lazier.

Scones must be my favourite things I love any kind of scone , im a bugger for eating them warm with lots of butter straight from the oven , I fidget till they cool down enough not to burn my mouth like a big kid hahaha

Just had a letter to say my Mammogram was clear , sigh of relief

Oma - I think 'clear' must be our favourite word when we get to our age. Very relieved for you, and also for B for escaping with just a small filling. xx

Grauntie - you're taking a bit of a risk, putting things - anything - in the attic. They will definitely disappear, only to turn up sometime in December in wrapping paper bedecked with holly and you won't know whether to give them away as presents or open them yourself!!!

It's a beautiful warm day here, but according to the forecast tomorrow will be the last one! It's due to get much cooler for the Bank Holiday week-end.

Enfys - are you feeling better?

Oma - yes his eye is sore, and the procedure seems to sap his energy for a couple of days. Hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow. Nana - no, there are no eye drops for it, just the injections and a soothing gel for afterwards which does help a bit, but not much. I have to say getting the gel into his eyes is nearly as hard as putting drops in Eva's eye. But at least I can muzzle her if I have to!!!

WeeGranny - Oh, that looks stunning and I bet it tastes delicious. I would do an awful lot for a slice of that right now!

We took Eva up to the paddock about 6 pm and the weather was perfect - warm but not too warm for Eva as she raced round and round. OH was feeling a bit light headed so he sat as watched as Eva and I played. But after a long phone call with DS1, I started to get dinner about 7.45, and by the time it was ready at 8.30, it was virtually dark!

What a fantastic cake. What a clever girl your daughter is. My scones on the otherhand is a different story. I never seem to be able to get them to rise like you see them in pictures & shops. I followed the recipe on here. 3 batches in fact.

                        1. Fruit scones ..... spread out instead of up.
2 & 3 Plain scones.... bit better but batch 2 was very pale. Thought I'd put 3. back in oven & forgot to check them. Mmm a bit too brown. Will I ever make scones that rise?

By the way Daisy they had Christmas cards in a shop I went in yesterday.πŸŽ…πŸ€Ά

                          Nice morning here.

Nana, when we were first married, i couldn't make scones that wouls rise.
When i told an elderly neighbour, she said i must be too heavy handed.
I must have mastered the art, because i can make them now.

Daisy, hope hubby is feeling better today.

Good morning to any early birds on here this morning.

Nana my scones used to come out of the oven resembling biscuits rather than scones until I followed a Delia Smith recipe and I never had scones with an inferiority complex ever again. I used to make double the amount and freeze half .

Daisy how is OH this morning ?

WeeGranny the cake looks delicious , DD should consider going on Bake Off !

Not a lot planned today , apart from stripping the bed and cooking a chicken

                            Have a relaxing Wednesday everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Nan2 and Mimi, and the rest!

Nana, Nan2 and Mimi, I have never even attempted scones

GS and I had a good day yesterday with my friends and their GS, and my OH had a good day on the Birmingham golf course. They came 11th out of 44, so not too bad.

A friend and her mum (who now lives with her) are coming to lunch today. Nothing else planned at the moment.

                              Have a good day everyone.
