Qwerty We used to take all our food with us on our self catering hols. Now we do a little research to see if there's a supermarket near the holiday let. I hope you both have a good rest & enjoy time together. I really like your fireplace. It looks quite similar to ours.
Off now to try to sleep. Boy do I need my beauty sleep.😪

Its a chiller morning than of late and not quite light yet . Have you noticed how the nights are drawing in ? Are we on the slippery slope to autumn 🍂 I hate the dark nights , give me summer and long hours of daylight. My neighbour says she rather have the dark nights as it’s quieter because the children aren’t playing outside. Between you and me she can be a bit of a moaner. Everyone’s child is a nuisance except hers ! I told her I don’t like the dark nights because it’s all too easy for anyone to sneak around the back of the flats and get up to all sorts . We always make sure our back door is locked by early evening. The front door always has the chain on.
One lady over the road leaves the front door key dangling on a piece of string on the inside of the front door and she has taken away the draugh excluder from around the letter box so that her children can get their hand through the box, get hold of the key and let themselves in and out to save her having to keep opening the door. We have tried to explain that anyone could get into her property but she won’t be told .
Not it a lot planned today apart from Tesco grocery delivery . I was going to use the hot, flat , hissy thing but after reading Clover’s post I have had second thoughts.
Qwerty the fire grate looks lovely , have a wonderful holiday.
Nana you don’t need any beauty sleep, you and all nana’s on here are gorgeous.
The nights are getting dark earlier now,and getting lighter later on a morning.
Hope the neighbours children haven't told anyone about the the key on the string.
Didn't have a good night,will explain later,when i've a bit more time.
Have a good day ladies.

Zizi - I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday. Don't they seem to come round quickly!! A lot of employers seem to have tunnel vision when looking for new staff, but I'm really glad to hear your health is better. Please don't look at the skirting boards - it's a slippery slope leading to all sorts of things like cleaning windows and tidying cupboards. Have a lovely time in Portugal, and let us know how it goes. It's always nice to hear from you, so no apologies needed. xx

Good morning everyone! It looks a bit like rain here at the moment - I hope it brightens up later.
Qwerty - respect! I think I'd be on my knees by now. I hope you got a good night's sleep and are ready to relax and enjoy your holiday. Safe journey, and enjoy that hot tub. I do hope OH's cold gets better - you both need this break. The fireplace looks lovely - very posh!
Nana - looking at the time of your post, I hope you did get your beauty sleep. xx
I'm sorry laides - I'll have to come back to this post later. Anyone who thinks it's hard work having the GCs for a sleepover can borrow Cooper for a couple of days!! The GCs will be a walk over afterwards! Back later!!!

Morning ladies ,
Nana I read my book till 4 and watched rubbish TV
Mimi as a child my parents always had a key hanging on a string like that but in them days you could no one would think about breaking in ,
I often wonder why we had the key on a string as there was always one parent at home , we were not allowed to be latch door key kids , maybe it was for emergency's .
Qwerty much easier finding a supermarket when you get there , have a fab time xxx
Got GS1 and Dog today , have to take GS1 training at 2 so B will drop him off Dog not well today he's got a iffy tummy , had his worming and flea treatment yesterday and he's reacting to one or the other , so next time DD staggering it over a couple of days see what ones causing it so she can change brands ,
So im on scrambled egg and cheese duty today to get him to eat something poor lad ,
Morning all, a quiet day for me today after having all 4 grandchildren yesterday! Been for a mammogram this morning-why does it have to be so painful. Next Thursday is our last summer holiday duty and th3n we’re off to Portugal for 2.5 weeks. Last weekend we spent with son and family camping.

Mimi - it would be safer for your neighbours to give their children a key each. I think lots of people used to hang keys on strings when we were young, and I can remember some children at primary school having their house key on string round their necks!
I was never a latch door kid because we lived behind my parents' shop so there was always someone there.
Oma - poor Storm - I bet it was the wormer that upset his tummy. I only worm Eva if she gets worms (and she never has). I'd rather do a worm count and then treat if necessary. I hope he's ok soon. I bet he enjoys the scrambled egg and cheese, though!
Gem - how was your Mum yesterday?
We're having a busy day! Cooper is with us until tonight. This morning a man came to repair our shower - it needed a new thingy of some sort. There is another man out in the garden, replacing a faulty new tap in the caravan. It's a simple enough job, but he has to take the fridge out to get at the pipework, so goodness knows how long it will take. Later on my friend M is coming over with her brother, his wife and their adult daughter who has special needs. We don't know what she will make of Cooper, but I hope she likes him. Then we may end up taking Cooper back home tonight to save DS2 and Co a long trek.
Earlier on when I was trying to post, Cooper decided he loved me so much he had to sit on my lap. Every time I tipped him off, and came back for another cuddle. Typing with 30+ kg of wriggling puppy on your lap isn't easy!! But, shhhhh.... he's asleep at the moment.

Avo - our posts crossed. You have been busy. I'm sure all your GCs had a wonderful time together. I bet you're ready for Portugal and a bit of relaxation. You'd think there'd be a better way of doing mammograms by now, but it's still a very valuable service.
Are you enjoying using your motorhome? We've noticed they seem to be getting more and more popular, and sometimes outnumber conventional caravans on camp sites.

Why i had a bad night.
I have always told hubby he is a noisy sneezer.
About 12.30 this morning i was asleep.Hubby was in bed reading.
He sneezed twice and it woke me up. Noisy s*d i said.
His reply was it's not my fault. I asked whose fault was it then.
Blame my nose he said!!!!!
At 2 am i was still awake,so decided to get up for a cuppa, hubby did as well.
I was just dropping to sleep, when it was time to get up.
Oma,hope is better soon.
Avo,enjoy your quiet day.
Daisy,hope Cooper is still asleep.

Oma we are staying on a working farm in the middle of nowhere and by the look of the weather we won’t be venturing far at first nearest shop is 7 miles away and it isn’t a supermarket so it will be expensive lol when I get to where I am going I don’t want to trail out shopping to be honest 😜
