Raining here,no thunder, but very heavy! Put dog's bed out to air this morning and forgot it was out.....now hanging over car in garage to drip dry! May have to find him something else to sleep on tonight! Think guttering must be blocked as rain is pouring over in a couple of places.

Hope painful backs soon ease. I've just had some work done on mine and so far, so good.

DD and family gone off to the States for their holidays. New York and Orlando! Then they come back and exchange contracts on their new house. Luckily they don't plan to move on the same day as they've got their rented place until mid -September. I think they intend to do a bit of decorating before they actually move in. DD will also be starting a new job but not until October. I don't know where they get the energy from as a family!

Had my break, so off to tackle the ironing before the pile gets too high! Enjoy your afternoon ladies!

Cataracts no worse and no new glasses needed, very pleased no money changed hands. Played a shocking game of bowls, pleased to get home. Out tonight at Embroidery Group.

The cat was sent home in disgrace LOL. Not really, but they phoned to say she had had enough (I suspect they had as well!) and we could take her home and they will finish off tomorrow morning.
I drove back from DD's through torrential rain this afternoon, everyone driving slowly with lights on. When I had finished at my clients it was the same again, so he made me a coffee and we had a bit more chat until it eased off. My drive home from his involved a few flooded areas to drive through

Good news that the cataracts are no worse Plant.
Qwerty I hope it is fine for you with the twins tomorrow, and for me with GS1!
            Rest those knees Oma.
I hope your family have lovely holiday WG, I'm sure they will. Oh dear about the dog bed!

              Evening All,
All these aches and pains! To add to the list I feel like an alien from planet Zog for some reason. I’m sure the weather is not helping. I was up and mooching around in the early hours, did a crossword etc. and went back to bed. Absolutely rubbish at cards this afternoon but the company was good as usual, so was the cake. 😁
Glad the cataracts are no worse Plant. WG, I did a mamouth pile of ironing this morning, very satisfying. Mimi, I love looking through old photos with all the memories they hold. I bet you had a lovely morning. Gem, you should have my cat... she loves being brushed. When we had the dog, every time I groomed her the cat would muscle in and want to be brushed, the whole works, like a horse, especially with the horse body brush. She is 20 now and finds grooming herself difficult so I do it.

                          Good evening everyone!

Oma - not only are those cats good-looking, whoever took the photo either got lucky or has the patience of a saint - 3 are looking right at the camera and the one of the right is so beautifully posed you'd forgive her anything! I can't imagine 52C, even though I like the sun.

Gem - poor kitty. I hope tomorrow sees the last of the knots and she can relax for a while. What an awful day to be out and about on the roads! We've had no rain today, although it threatened a couple of times, and this afternoon was quite warm, but i still want my heatwave back, please!

The alien from Plant Zog - you probably didn't get enough of that delicious cake!

Plant - glad you escaped unscathed from the opticians.

Qwerty - your poor washing! Still better than you getting soaked. I hope it's nice for your outing with the twins tomorrow - where are you going?

Mimi - I can imagine all the memories flooding back looking at your old photos. I'm sure your niece will be thrilled to see them.

WeeGranny - I feel dizzy just reading about your DD and family! they're certainly going to need that holiday. I hope poor doggy has got a comfy bed for tonight. I hope your back continues to feel better. You must be very pleased and relieved. xx

Evening. Oma I know nothing about cats & notice one has a black 'nappy' on? Any reason for that? Hope your knees are better & Enfys's back.

Lympho appointment tomoro, hernia bloke day after, then hair appointment the day after. So much grey in my roots now that I'm wondering whether to go without colouring. Hard choice, but would make life easier not dying my hair every 5wks or so. I like grey hair but not the process of growing the colour out. I'll have to ask hairdresser's advice. Hope you insomniacs have a better night's sleep now it's cooler.

It's been one of those days today. I had to stay at DS2's with the girls and Cooper today because of Eva's conjunctivitis. She's due to go to the vets tomorrow, but when I got home tonight one eye looked perfectly well and the other was only a tiny bit pink, so if they still look ok tomorrow morning I'll cancel the appointment.

I arrived at DS2's about 8.30 and couldn't find anywhere to park. They have some new people in the cul de sac who park very inconsiderately, plus next door's car was on the road because they were having windows fitted and the van needed to get on their drive, which meant I couldn't get on DS2's. I was sitting there wondering what to do when their other neighbour came out to go to work and said I could use their drive as her OH wouldn't be back until 6 pm. Phew! Cooper was unsettled all morning because he was expecting to go to our house and play with Eva. OH was trying to sort some things out for DS2, but the shop was manic and OH kept phoning me to ask me to text DS because he couldn't get to the phone (OH doesn't text!) That continued for most of the day. Then the plumber arrived to fit their new dishwasher, and the poor man was run ragged by first Cooper wanting to play with him then GD2 deciding he must a lonely in the kitchen all on his own and she'd chat to him!! I ended up taking Cooper into the garden and doing lead practice with him.

It felt like a long day!

Then DS2 and DIL got home from work. They'd had 4 big funerals to do work for, today and one of them was someone whose wedding DIL and I had photographed some years ago. It was such a shock. They were a 'mature' couple but she was many years younger than me, and their wedding day was a genuinely happy occasion. I can picture her toasting her new husband in the Forest - in fact I think of that every time I pass that spot, and they were so excited to be going on a safari for their honeymoon. RIP, beautiful lady.

Nana the nappy thing is because she was in heat and as they have a male cat her brother they didn't want any let's say accidents 😲so it's for protection , They are breeding them but from other sources so to speak 😊
