GCs have been fed and gone home now. I made them play the mini version of Jenga. I have ordered the garden size one for our amusement now and in 4 months time but it will be indoors, obviously. I think it will be fun when all are a little ‘mellow’. (The answer to Jenga stress Gem 😁)

GM - I wish! We'd need to be millionaires to buy a bungalow in our village, and OH is adamant he's only leaving this house feet first!Originally posted by Grauntie Mag View PostMove to a bungalow...😆
I am utterly fed up with the athletics! I wish the BBC would take a look at who pays the licence fees - at least half the population is female, and most (I know there are some sports-watching ladies) hate sport, and how many people really, really are fascinated by throwing the hammer, or long jumping etc etc. My Sunday night tv treats are Countryfile and the Antiques Roadshow. Tonight they were banished so the whole nation could get thoroughly immersed in people endlessly running round in circles! Grumpy? You bet I am!!!
GM - my DS1 has the garden sized version of Jenga - and it's quite a clatter when it falls down.
Qwerty - glad to hear you enjoyed your day today.
I hope all the sleepless people have better nights tonight. xx

Qwerty I didn’t join Circle even though OH was an active table member. We moved to Essex and as they were such a great bunch and included me in everything I joined Tangent. That was 30 years ago, still an active group here, as is 41 club.
Daisy if OH won’t move then make him decorate the hall etc.😁
Nighty night all. 😴Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Still damp here. Terrible back ache so am trying to keep moving but it’s hard. Oma, all that scrubbing is bad for your knees , take care.
Daisy, no athletics here, we are enjoying our Netflix subscription. Worth every penny, and I can watch on my iPad if DH wants to watch tv. Although we enjoyed Countryfile last night and then Dragons Den. Dexter here again today, hope he doesn’t roll in anything today, I can’t bend to clean him up. Will check the garden thoroughly before he gets here.

Good morning ladies.
Oma and Enfys, your poor knees and back
Nan2, I suppose that wasn't too bad a sleep for you, was it?
We are off to the vet with H our long haired cat. Like D, our deaf feisty one, H is 18. She has lovely long thick fur but can no longer manage it. We cope with most of it, but she won't let us do her tummy (bites us!) and now has big knots and they must be so uncomfortable for her. The vets shave it, it takes 2 or 3 people! She wonlt like it, but she will be so much more comfortable once it's done (if semi bald
)
I am going, with my mum, to DD1's for lunch. DD and GS will take my mum home, as I will have to leave earlier to go to my client at 4.
Have a good day everyone, whatever it holds.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Your mum will enjoy her outing Gemini.. Hope the cat doesn't bite the vet.
Sorry to hear your back is painful Enfys and Oma, as we keep telling you slow up and no kneeling to scrub kitchen floor.

Afternoon all .
We had thunderstorms and very heavy rain yesterday evening but so far today it has been fairly sunny. When I went out earlier this afternoon it was lovely and sunny.
We have been busy this morning sorting out hundreds of old photos . We were looking for the ones of my family when I was a child. The reason for this is because my niece is coming to see me on Saturday and she is trying to get a picture of her family as relations with her mum broke down when she was a teenager. Its a long painful story but I am pleased to say I have always been in contact with her and her older sister . We are very close, her older sister was one of my bridesmaids and my DD was her bridesmaid. They all came to my DD's wedding as well as my 60th birthday party. Her dad remarried and we still keep in touch .
Plant hope the cataract is no worse. OH had his check up a few weeks ago and his cataract hadn't gotten any worse than last years check up .
Gem how did the visit to the vets go ? Our cat is finding it hard to groom her one side and I have to try and comb it for her. She is patience for about 1 minute and then the hissing starts !
Oma your poor knees , now no more getting down to scrub the floor. The only people who can tell if you have done right into the corners are those who are actually lying down there and if they are that fussy let them do it themselves .
Have a nice afternoon ladiesBring me sunshine in your smile.
