Good morning all. It’s been raining here constantly since about 3pm Saturday and it’s the most rain we have had in a long time. Hopefully it will turn the lawns back green rather than the straw appearance it has now.
Didn’t drop off to sleep till well after 2this morning. The previous night I had a great nights sleep. OH said it was because I had a cup of tea that is supposed to relax me and bring on sleep. He foolishly thought this tea had done what I and several drs have been trying to cure for the past 20 years and failed.. To be honest he isn’t too sympathetic about my lack of sleep. He says it is because Ifidget and worry too much . He can’t understand that I don’t do this deliberately. I can’t keep still even during the day as well as night , he says just lie still and sleep will come ..... If only it were that simple.
Nan2 OH dislikes salad but I try and serve it at least twice a week.Don’t know what we are having today. I will have a look in the freezer or fridge to see what takes my eye.
I have enough trouble with a stupid cat that has strange ideas about behaviour but she doesn’t get up to as much mischief as some of the dogs we have been reading about. But for all their devilish behaviour at least dogs are happy to see you and will be your friend, our cat doesn’t even acknowledge we exist unless she wants some thing.
Have a good day and try and keep dry. I refuse to complain about the rain because we really do need it at the moment.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone. It's not raining here but it must have done during the night. It's damp and overcast. Looking at the water collecting in the wheelbarrow, we've had several inches over the last week, and that will do nicely, thank you! Please bring back summer before it's too late.
Plant - i often don't know what day of the week it is - at least you wouldn't have been late for your appointment.
Gem, Oma and Mimi - I hope you got some sleep after burning the midnight oil.
Mimi - the trouble is with dogs always being so pleased to see you is that I feel awful when I leave her in the house on her own!
Oma - I hope you've got your good kneeler out of the shed for today's painting.
My OH would starve if he didn't eat salad - it's my default meal when I've left it too late to do anything else!
I was supposed to be going to DS2's this morning to prune back some bushes for him that are getting out of hand and growing over the window, but I think it might be too wet. I'm sure I'll be able to find something else to do. OH is tired after his long day at the show yesterday, but he enjoyed it, and there was a lot of interest from potential new members for their wood turning club.

Good morning all!
It rained a lot overnight but it has stopped, and the sun is trying to peep through the clouds.
I believe Oma mentioned painting skirting boards, or something like that?
Mimi , I think sleeplessness is a bit like weight loss. Those have have no experience of it think it is no problem at all! My wakeful nights are fairly rare so I cant complain too much. I did get back to sleep last night.
Yes, come back summer, although it's still nice here mostly with a few showers and lower temperatures than recently.
I hope the weather does improve next week , as Plant and my DD, SIL and GC are all going to Cornwall.
Nan2, the rain must have changed your OH's mind on the meal front!
Nothing planned today. Yes, you heard right nothing !!!
Happy Sunday everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Painting Skirting and doors all downstairs Plant ,
I will get all them done before I emulsion kitchen/diner walls and sitting room .
B is good with a paint brush so he's doing skirting save me getting down , trouble is once he's down he has to shuffle around as it's difficult getting him up and down 😀
He hates emulsioning walls or papering so that's my job ,
Been putting it off while it was so hot now's the time to start .
We did pop out quickly to have Brunch save doing anything and very nice it was too , now back to work
Mimi as you know I don't sleep either and I have restless legs , I honestly want to hit B when he says just lie there sleep will come 😠 how can I just lie there when I'm almost doing a Irish jig around the bed 😲Im not fat just 6ft too small

Morning all.
Rain here too on and off. We went for an early walk over the golf course to the castle and back.Took about an hour and as we were coming back it turned really dark but luckily we'd just got to our neighbours gate when the heavens opened so we were really lucky.
I've just had a session clearing out old e-mails and other stuff on my lap top. Also ordered some flowers for my sister and BIL's Golden Wedding Anniversary on Friday. They are having a tea party in a local cafe. I wish we could have gone but just not possible. I was M's only bridesmaid in pale pink broderie anglaise [sp]
Sorry ladies who didn't sleep well.
Qwerty those flowers are gorgeous, such pretty colours. Enjoy your lunch with family
Gem I bet you find something to do,just hope it's something you really want to do.

Pouring with rain here, as it has all night. The lawn is looking greener but very muddy too.
lovely flowers Qwerty, enjoy your lunch out. Oma, good luck with the painting, we have some that needs doing here, don’t know when we’ll gwt around to it. Shame you can’t get to the tea party, Clover, Broderick anglaise was very popular in our youth, wasn’t it. I had a pale lemon skirt, had forgotten about that.
Havent done much this morning, have a bad back so moving is painful. I probably did too much gardening yesterday, all that bending!! P is feeling very tired today, par for the course, it’s usually about now that any side effects kick in, so he is having a lazy day...my orders! He would try to keep going but it does him no good, rest is better. It only lasts for a couple of days luckily.

Good Afternoon all.
We are sitting waiting for GCs to arrive. DD1 has to take a horse to the vet and SiL is at a car show. I think I may suggest a game of cards, or even Jenga as I now know how to play properly! We played it with brick sized blocks at a Tangent club games evening last week. Also table football. I‘ve never played it before...what have I been missing all these years.
Been for a walk on the front, there is a sailing competition going on. A good day for it with a moderate breeze. Some brave people were in swimming too!
I hope all the non-sleepers sleep tonight.

I find Jenga quite tense Grauntie
I gave OH some reflexology, which she is well overdue for. Otherwise a lazy day here, as we were out most of yesterday.
I have done some online banking, and been thinking a lot about CanadaI am going to colour my hair later.
Pork chops with Yorkshire puds etc for tea, a sort of Sunday roast!

It's been raining most of the day here and is dark and cold. I think we need the heating on!!
While we were deciding on Plan B this morning (too wet for garden work) the phone rang and it was OH's niece and her husband, on their way back from the Isle of Wight - could they pop in and say hello on their way through. Of course, we said, so as it was nearly lunch-time and i rustled up DIY BLT sandwiches - then realised that they'd probably had a full English breakfast in the hotel before they left! Never mind, it was great to see them, and they were very polite about getting more bacon!
Oma - I hope you haven't been overdoing things - or b for that matter.
GM - you're going to be busy. Are the GC staying overnight? Sounds like perfect sailing weather - and definitely more fun to watch if there's a decent wind.
Enfys - we still need to decorate our hall, stairs and landing. I've been saying that for years! I really don't want OH to do it, but he isn't keen on letting someone else do it!
Qwerty - I hope you've enjoyed your lunch out with the family. Those flowers are gorgeous. Regal lilies are well named!!
Gem - are you enjoying your lazy day?
