Good morning everyone. I lost my connection before I was able to get on to this thread last night, so lots to catch up on!
Enfys - I know that 'heart-sink' moment so well, although Eva doesn't roll, but Rusty and Clyde did, and DS2's previous dog, Midge was a tinker! You don't know where to start sometimes, except have a good scream! I hope Dexter was forgiven.
Oma - Poor J. I can imagine how frustrated he is being on the bench for his match on Sunday, but it's good to learn at this stage that injuries need to be taken seriously and respected. I had to smile at Storm stealing B's pillow. Cooper loves blankets and uses them like a baby with a comfort blanket to get to sleep! The trouble is, unlike a baby, he eats them!
Gem - I hope you enjoyed your unexpected bargain night out last night.
Nanto - glad your in laws are doing ok. I can imagine they're glad the weather has cooled down a bit, despite having a cool living room.
Mimi - lovely graphic last night. Thank you - my dreams were sweet.
I had an early start this morning. OH is demonstrating (wood turning, not anti-anything) at a country show today and his friend picked him up at 7 am. OH wanted to take sandwiches so I got up and made them, although I've no idea what I put in them at that untimely hour! I've been pottering round, and am just off for a shower. Somehow or other, there's a pile of pots and pans in the kitchen sink - I suppose I'll have to wash them, but mostly I want a nice quiet peaceful day! My friend's going to pop round for a coffee. She's been away and it's time we had a good chat! Later on I might try and finish a painting I started several weeks ago.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
Granddogs sound to be more trouble than Grandkids, Oma and Enfys
I hope GS1's ankle is better soon Oma.
I hope the weather stays fine for your shopping trip Nan2.
Clover, I think Zizi may be taking a break. She is about on FB, but it would be lovely to hear her news here. I think she is still job hunting. We miss our 'lapsed' members!
A trip into town today to collect tickets from 2 theatres, and a couple of other things. We may buy a sandwich and sit in the park as the sun is out today and skies are blue.
Have a lovely Saturday ladies.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning.
What’s got into these pooches lately. First Storm and now Dexter.
I’ve got to invent something for tea tonight with things left over from a big session of cooking for visitors. The ingredients include one chicken breast, half a packet of bacon, one yellow pepper, and half a large punnet of mushrooms! Ideas welcome
Gem,talking of food I hope you enjoyed your bargain meal last night.
Daisy hope you have a nice relaxing day despite your early start. I hope your OH isn’t too surprised with his mystery sarnies.
Happy Saturday everyone.

Hope GS's injury improves soon, he must be very frustrated Oma.
Those comical and naughty dogs are very amusing, not sure about the mess though.
Have a lovely ME day today Daisy, hope you didn't put Eva's food in OH's sandwiches Daisy.
Not sure what sort of day I will have, usually on a Sat. Sil fetches his mother, takes her shopping and brings her back here and I join them. No visit from GGS this weekend they are in Cornwall visiting friends. We had a lot of rain yesterday so need to tidy the borders. I am going to cut down some of the plants before I go away, hate to come back to dead flowers, the phlox are just about finished.
Have a good day ladies whatever you are doing. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I was thinking pasta too Plant.
I only ever cook one chicken breast for us both. We try to eat less meat and I only buy free range chicken, which is expensive , so one breast does fine, especially as you have some bacon too Clover. You could add a tin of tomatoes and some herbs once you have cooked your chicken bacon and veg.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Much cooler again today so work in the garden for us. Chicken and pasta sounds good, we’re eating more pasta these days and it’s very versatile. I’m also using my nutribullet every morning to make smoothies, that way I can make sure DH gets a good mix of fruit as he can’t eat a lot of fibre. This morning we had banana, spinach, mango, plum with a dash of almond milk and some plain yoghurt. Delicious.
Dexter was very subdued after the incident but was ok by the time I took him home. He knew I wasn’t happy with him, all ok now.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning all
Oma how is GS this morning and your poor knees, have you tried using a steam floor cleaner, it would save you getting down on to your knees .
Plant as soon as your back is turned it seems like the flowers go mad, there is so much dead heading to do .To keep on top of it I try to do it every day but when we were away the other month my neighbour watered the garden for me but I didn't like to ask her to dead head the plants as well so I had lots to do when I came home.
Nan2 happy shopping in Wakefield are you going to buy something specifically ?
Enfys what is almond milk like ? Is it sweet ? I can't imagine having any thing but cow's milk in my tea.
We are having pasta for lunch as well !
Just tidied up the garden beds and got rid of one of the tomato plants that had finished bearing fruit .
Have a fantastic Saturday ladiesBring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi steam mops are fine but nothing like getting down on the floor and giving a good scrub now and then ,
Clover I have a really good kneeling pad but would you believe for some unknown reason B had put it in the shed , so although we have two strong security lights no way was I venturing in that shed with all the spiders , so I used the dogs blanket rolled up 😀Im not fat just 6ft too small
