Just waiting for GS1 to arrive. OH will take the cat to the vet and GS and I will collect her as OH will be on the golf course by then. Not sure what the day ahead holds for GS and me, but I think we will be going out once Kitty is safely collected.
It feels cool, I have a cardigan on!! The sun is coming out now, and it was 22 yesterday and I imagine it will be today. Summer is not gone!

What a day Daisy! I can imagine how sad you all feel about that lady.

I cancelled Eva’s vet appointment. She doesn’t know she’s had a lucky escape. 😁 So I’m at DS2’s with the girls and Cooper. Alexa is kindly timing them while they have wash etc and get dressed. Much better incentive than me nagging GD1. GD2 doesn’t need nagging she just gets on with things. 😁

Plant getting ready for holidays is the best reason for ironing. 😎

GM - that’s so true. It made me laugh out loud 🤣🤣🤣. Sorry you’ve got to go shopping. I sympathise. X

Qwerty...yes DD is changing companies. HO fairly local to her, she'll have 2 days there, 2 days in London and 1 day at home.Will be much better than travelling to London every day.

Plant....they've got a house in Holmer Green. GS can walk to senior school and one of his new classmates lives in the house opposite, so he'll have a companion to walk with!

Dasiy..that news about the lady who died sent a shiver down my spine. Just as well we don't know what's ahead of us.

Not sure what I'm up to for the rest of the day.....will involve dog walking no doubt! Bed hanging on line to finish drying and I found an old duvet for him last night Daisy!

Afternoon ladies ,
first chance had to get on hear been quite busy ,
Did my housework during night so only hoovering this morning ,
went out early to visit his Mother and while we were there his Sister came so stayed longer than we intended ,
We then went to Morrisons on way home ,
Had lunch then popped to Aldi just pulling up on the drive when my elderly neighbours came out to chat , they had the exterminator there dealing with a wasps nest and my neighbour was quite upset she hates the thought of anything being killed , so they came in for a cup of tea till the deed was done 😊
Answered some emails and had a chat on WhatsApp with BIL &SIL , now I have a chance to catch up 😀

Good afternoon all. Its a very dull day here and at the moment the air is thick with the smell of dogs 'doings' . The man over the road has mowed his lawn without bothering to clear up after weeks of letting his dogs use the lawn instead of taking them for a walk with the regulatory dog poop bag. He might well as left the grass to grow, it would have been better for everyone around here . Plus we haven't had enough rain here to make the grass grow, we still have straw where our lawn once was.

The pies sounds delicious Nan2, OH loves pies, shall I send him round ?

Grauntie that is so right. When GS came to stay he wanted some chocolate , in the house we almost every sweet under the sun but no chocolate and if he wanted chocolate , chocolate he would have . So I said I will pop to the shop and get you some. Rewind to when our 3 DC were little it would have been , " If you don't like whats there go without "


I've been having another sort out today. I took some tops and trousers down to the charity shop where I stood and chatted about some wall paper they had there. It was brick effect wall paper, the very same mum had put over the fireplace to make it look as if we had a real brick fireplace, I suppose it worked back in the 60s . We do actually have a real brick fire place, OH wants to knock it out to make more room in the sitting room and I said ok, as long as I can go away while it is being done, imagine all that brick dust.........I think I can hear Oma on her way now with a duster as I type !

My thoughts today have been about the lady I mentioned yesterday, and I mentioned that the place where we stopped to take photos between the church and the reception always makes me think of this couple. Tonight I got stuck in the biggest 'pony jam' I've ever seen in the Forest. There must have been about 30 ponies blocking the road and I was in a queue of traffic. The traffic came to a halt right opposite that same place in the Forest. How strange, and a bit unsettling.

Oma I try not to be on any device with screen lights now as they say this hinders sleep. Tonight I'm going to try a Mindfulness CD to see if that helps. Hernia bloke tomoro & I'm not looking forward to that appointment. Sooner seen, sooner it's over. Something like this normally keeps me awake so we'll see if the CD helps.🤞
