Sun came out late morning,very warm now.

Been a busy but enjoyable day.

Got all cleaning and ironing done.

Then,both boys paid a visit, and stayed for dinner.

Eldest took his car for the MOT and it passed.

Had a nice lunch with GS3 at our favourite eatery, he was suffering with a cold, not fair on your birthday. He took me to a garden centre after, I gave him some paracetamol and sent him home to have a sleep before he has a family gathering this evening. Will put the plants I bought in at the weekend.

Evening all.

Another no housework day for me today,
I needed some bits and pieces in town and as it is Silverscreen day decided to start off with a cinema trip. The film was “The Shape Of Water.”,a rather weird film but with lots of Oscar and BAFTA. nominations and some wins. I’m not sure if I enjoyed it or not .I think I did.
After shopping and catching the bus home.I had to put out the recycling for tomorrow,remove a cat’s p.o from the garden and water the young plants.Then it was time to think about getting tea.

Mimi yes we did enjoy our day in Mumbles. We got the bus to Limeslade Bay which is a little further on from Mumbles. We had our picnic watching the tide come in then we walked on to Mumbles pier (currently undergoing a much needed renovation.) via Bracelet Bay. Then a walk onto our favourite ice cream parlour for sundaes. Along the front to Mumbles village with it’s little shops and boutiques.

Gem I understand your reluctance to ”deal” with these transactions as sadly now I have to cope with these sorts of things and I hate it.

Plant I hope your GS feels better soon. Not fair to feel rough on your birthday

I don't like being responsible for anything my OH is selling either - or even something he's giving away. So I don't blame you at all Gem. In fact I would have said they couldn't come and look until OH is back!!! Good luck with it all. xx

A bit late in the day, but happy birthday wishes to Oma's DD and Plant's GS3. I hope his cold is soon better.

Qwerty - we need a photo of your glamorous new lilac hairdo. I was thinking of having a mixture of pink, lilac and pale blue, but OH looked so shocked I couldn't put him through waking up with it on the pillow next to him!

Clover - what a lovely day. Your walks always sound interesting and full of treats. I'm sure it's also good for both of you in lots of ways. xx

My day was partly successful - I got over two weeks of dog food prepped and frozen. I had intended to do the ironing as well, but OH had other thoughts!

He went to help a friend put some items on eBay. OH uses eBay a lot, but he didn't remember that I take his photos, process them for eBay for him, and load them on to his computer in a folder ready for use. So I spent a long time on the phone, trying to help him with a system I've never seen, which is on our friend's computer. Neither OH nor friend are very computer literate so it was doomed to failure! The friend's wife kindly made them lunch to fortify them for another 'go', but they ended up with files that would have looked smaller than postage stamps. In the end OH came back for his DSLR camera and retook the photos. He now wants me to show him how to process them on his laptop and how to get them onto eBay. I pointed out we haven't got very much time together before we go away, so he said not to worry - he'd take his laptop away with us and we could do it then!!! We need a 'banging head against wall' smiley!!!!!

Just as he got back this afternoon, the hospital rang with an appointment for his eye - Monday afternoon! I'm really glad he hasn't got to wait any longer. He'd got the dentist in the morning as well, so a busy day for him.

It's been rather dull here all day, but when we took Eva up to the paddock about 5 pm it was actually quite warm. The friend who owns it had just mown the paths and it was lovely - all the wild meadows flowers in full bloom and the warm scent of newly cut grass. Fortunately Eva sticks mostly to the paths so she doesn't damage the flowers.

Selling is all sorted out now. Strimmer man is coming tomorrow at 1. Trailer man on Saturday night. We are actually going to a barbecue but it is just at the end of our road, so OH can pop back to meet him and sort it out.
I did some weeding for mum and managed to get some of the branches OH took off the tree into the green bin for collection tomorrow.
A friend called in for a cuppa and a chat tonight which was nice.
DD3 and SIL went to Niagara today, which they enjoyed.

Dull atm, going to practice nurse for an injection for my bones this morning and then food shopping. Will hope to get in the garden later to put in some plants.

Visit to OH's sister went well , she took delight in showing me her operation scars , not a good thing for someone like me to see who can faint at the drop of a hat. She looks well though, its a struggle for her to get moving at the moment but then its hardly been two weeks yet since her op .
Across the road from where she lives are some bungalows we had hoped to move into a few years ago but unfortunately they were not suitable as they were not big enough at the time as we had DS living with us but now they would be perfect. Said to OH about it and his fist reaction was yes we could move but common sense kicked in when we looked back at all the hard work we have put into this place over the last 5 years and the amount of money spent on it. Should I stick with common sense or say to hell with it ?
