Good morning all.
Reports on the fire say it broke out in the kitchen of a ground floor flat. The house is sheltered housing . No one was hurt. It looks bad, roof badly damaged. Everyone is ok which is the main thing.
It is not far from us so I will probably see it today.
GS2 today, and GD from school. We are eating out with friends tonight, a late birthday celebration!
Have a good day everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning all, bad news about the fire Gem it reminded me of a fire next door to us many years , well I say next door they are but it’s s cul de sac and so reallly they are opposite, he came home drunk and put the chip pan on family were away in their Caravan dad was not , he fell asleep and never woke up , it was horrendous it was my OH that found him as the postman alerted us that he thought something was wrong, it’s no wonder OH suffers with nerves , no fire as such just intense heat and smoke opening a door could have set a fire off, but he knew better than to go in, horrendous thing to happen to anybody
Enjoy your belated birthday meal tonight sounds like Oma and B had a good time 👍🏻
Enfys hope your feeling better today, hope T slept well, and the rest of the night owls 7.30 I got up doing well pat myself on the back
DS and family going up to Teeside today till Monday it’s fil 65th Birthday a bit of a Do on and Father’s Day the following day think they are out for a meal , DS called last night with his card and present, a short sleeved shirt and a block of Hotel Chocolat, which is just as well as he stopped smoking 5 dys ago , but not holding my breath as been here many times before lol
Enjoy a less windy day up north just a food shop today for me

Morning ladies.
Gem,thank goodness no-one was hurt in the fire. Hope the smokey smell soon goes.
Bright here this morning. I’ve noticed a lot of plants have limp leaves due to the rough wind yesterday. The runner beans are on the brink of flowering so hope they’ve survived.
Off to to put some washing out before I pop off to work.
Have a good day.

Pleased to hear no persons hurt in the fire Gemini, feel very nervous about fires as I can't smell smoke.
Bright here too Clover, off to doctors this morning, wants to see me as my calcium is high, not sure what would cause that. GD then taking me to Waitrose and I also need to go to J Lewis to look at washing machines.
Hope you had a better night Oma.
Had a chat message from Zizi, she saw my post about my sister's death. Sounding quite upbeat, although still has some medical problems. Will reply today, it was a bit late when I saw her message.

Morning ladies hope all is well
Enfys how are you feeling today ?
Gem is your tummy any better ?
Had a ok night slept from 11-1.30 then awake till 5 then slept till 8 so good for me about 5plus hours ,
Im absolutely shattered at the minute ,
SIL put Astro turf down just before we went out last night so had all the garden to tidy and hoover leaves and bits up , Then rearrange quite heavy pots and apple tree ,
I also decided while I was on to wash all the plastic frames down. Windows ,Patio doors etc front and back and clean the windows , that led on to cleaning the plastic on the porch roof , a killer on your neck .
Im having 5 minutes now before I support the apple tree branches against the fence
Dog at day care will pick him up tea time GS1 and family fly to Portugal with Sunderland AFC today for a weekend long tournament back MondayIm not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning everyone. As usual poor reception here but we are in a valley. Just off for s walk. Very quiet and peaceful here. Might suit all the sleepless grannies. Love to you all. 😘"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Daisy, how nice to see youI hope you are having a lovely time.
I'm fine now thanks Oma.
Good to hear news on Zizi, Plant. It seems some time since we saw her here.
GS2 has a cold. He has been mostly fine, but a bit clingy and whiney, so it has seemed long morning! DD has been away in Monaco working since Tuesday, which is a long time for a little one, so he could be missing mummy a bit too. His gran has been away on holiday for 3 weeks, so this week he has had no 'mummy substitute' until today. SIL is brilliant with the children, and GS loves nursery, but it's not the same, is it? I'm sure he will be happy to see mummy back tomorrow. He is sleeping now, OH will stay with him when I go for his sister.
Further news on the local fire is the top floor flat and roof are badly damaged, the whole house is smoke damaged and there some fire damage to the 2 adjacent properties. Contrary to earlier reports, 2 people were taken to hospital and are still there, although they are not thought to be in danger.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gemini, I am sure GS2 will be pleased to see him mummy, especially if he is feeling poorly.
I think Zizi looks in occasionally Gemini.
Just spent £500 on a new washing machine, delivered next Thurs. some of the cost is removing old machine, setting up the new one and extended warranty. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
