Afternoon all didn’t get on yesterday owing to two little folk and too jiggered till lunchtime today, OH felt sorry for me took me out for lunch just the garden centre , but it was lovely and had an hour in the centre itself ,so not been back long.
Libra good luck with the bungalow although I wouldn’t want your circumstances I wish I had a viewing for some abode were starting looking at 2/3 bed houses with downstairs loo to widen our options
Good to hear all is going as well as can be expected with your DD slow steps but positive ones
My DD has been informed that they will be using hot desks shortly and that they can work from home one day a week so she has chosen Wednesday she doesn’t work Fridays , will save on petrol I suppose , there are 35 staff in her dept but are always in different areas of the county sometimes so there is never a full compliment of staff at one time, so they are cutting back on computers and such well this is the NHS but she seems happy enough about it
Glam hope you enjoyed your time out with your friend and that the baby clothes went down well 😉
Clover it always unsettles us when a doctor leaves hope you get a good one again
Sounds like I’m not the only one at lunch hope you’ve all had a good feed lol
GM I expect you to come out looking flipping stunning from the hairdressers 💇🏼*♀️💆*♀️

Phew - a couple of days of not reading the Chatbox, and I feel as though I've been away for ages - everyone's so busy.

Nana -I hope you're feeling your brain and body are back in step with each other, but if not, take it easy. All the jobs will wait. Sad to hear about your OH's Aunt, and hope your sister is ok.

Clover - well done on getting your roses pruned. I always get stabbed by them. I hope you find another doctor you like in the practice.

GM - a trailer full of logs is my OH's idea of heaven!

Gem you'll be meeting yourself coming back! Pleased to hear your mum's gas fire has been serviced, and her doctor's appointment went well.

Oma - I hope you've enjoyed your easy day, relaxing with B or Storm - or both.

Glamm, how lovely that you've found something to make your DIL happy. I hope your enjoyed your lunch at the Adelphi.

Plant - you're another busy lady! I can't believe GGS's birthday is tomorrow!!

We have had a lovely day today. The sun was shining, and it was actually quite mild. Our friends drove us - by a rather roundabout route as it happened - its one of those places out in the country which you can get to several different ways, and today it accidentally became the 'scenic' route. We had coffee and chatted with various people - not everyone stays on for lunch, but we do. We were a bit surprised to see the landlord take down the menu board and add £1 to some of the prices!!! Did we look rich, I wonder!!

I had a very nice bacon and avocado salad and got back home about 3 pm. It was so lovely and sunny I went out into the greenhouse and potted on most of the broad bean plants I'd bought last week.

Next time I'm going out, will someone please remind me not to wear high heels! I don't wear them very often, but I was wearing trousers that really needed them - they're more ankle boots with heels then shoes and actually quite comfortable - unless you stand very still in them for too long, as I did this morning. One foot went numb! Back to my very fetching pink crocs now.

Tomorrow I'm out for lunch again, with friends from college. It's all or nothing.

Daisy, next time you go out, don't wear high heels I'm glad you had a lovely day!

Too many lovely postings to reply to (we love a busy chat box!) but I have read everything!
GS2 gone, he was funny and cute, and blessed me with mega dirty nappy just before SIL came for him

Gem - yes, it's lovely to see everybody chatting away, and I really enjoy seeing what everyone is up to.

GS2 was saving that nappy just for you, wasn't he! Bless him. And you know when he's potty trained you will feel sad he's not a baby anymore. xx

Did your OH enjoy her golf?

OH has been declared in remission and good for at least a few years ( if I don't murder him first), so both on a high now!
Went to library when we got back as I've nothing to read in bed and came back to find OH on phone. It was his friend from university days ( they were each other's Best Men too) who has just moved to Somerset. Hopefully we'll meet up when we're next down there. Think they had a good chat with lots of catching up going on.
My visit to hospital was interesting and involved lots of, what I can only describe as, mini-electric shocks on my leg and then a needle was inserted into the muscles and more electric shocks! Came away with twitching leg!! Thinks I need back scan to check on what's going on there!

WG that’s fantastic news. No wonder you were on a high.

I spent several hour cooking and preparing food for when DD and family visit at Easter. I like to have things in the freezer I can just quickly defrost or heat as I like to spend time with the family rather than in the kitchen.

Seems like everyone has had a good day.

                            Good morning everyone.

Nan2, how lovely to have Rosie to stay.
Clover, I too prefer to cook ahead so I can spend more time with my guests and less in the kitchen.
Good to hear your niece is doing well Oma. Always nice to hear some positive news!

Just a regular Thursday here. Taking mum's shopping to her, and spending the rest of the afternoon there.
This morning I intend to write up yesterday's minutes. If I do them early, I remember more. Also, there is plenty of time to contact the relevant person if there is something which happened which my notes don't make clear

                            Have a good day everyone

Wee Granny - that is fantastic news about your OH. You must both be so pleased and relieved. I'm sure he'll enjoy catching up with his university friend when you see each other. I hope your legs stop twitching soon - it sounds very uncomfortable - and look what an effect it's had on Qwerty!!

EDIT: I posted this last night, but t'internet had other ideas. Sorry!

Good morning everyone. It's much milder here today.

I'm meeting up with college friends for lunch today - and I'm wearing flat shoes!!!!

I'm so impressed that people think about tonight's meal before 9 am. I find it hard to think about breakfast this early, but I wish I could get my head round using the slow cooker more, although I do try and get a couple of meals ready in the freezer when we have visitors. Like Clover and Gem I'd rather be with our guests than slaving away in the kitchen.

Oma - I hope everything goes well at the hospital.

Gem - it's always better to write up minutes sooner rather than later. I hope all your notes make sense. Is your mum happier with her gas fire now it's been serviced?

Nanto - I bet Rosie loves coming for sleepovers.
