I don't believe me . I really don't. Most nights I can't sleep, usually the slightest noise and I am wide awake in a nanosecond .
Apparently we had a big loud thunderstorm last night and where was I ...... fast asleep . Normally if a butterfly flaps its wings in outer Mongolia it wakes me. ( OK, slight exaggeration I know )

      How is everyone this morning

Avo sounds like a lovely day planned.

      Have a great Sunday ladies

Mimi as you know I don't sleep well but when I do I sleep like the Dead ,
Once we had someone hide behind our shed when the police were after him ,
Apparently the Police helicopter was virtually on our roof with his light searching our garden ,
Two Police dogs and several burly Police jumping our fence and I didn't hear a thing .
Only next day I found out when B told me and my neighbours were asking about it , they had all been out watching and I slept through the lot

Many years ago , one evening we heard a helicopter above the house, in fact it sounded as if it were in the garden. Upon opening the back door we could see a police helicopter hovering above our garden with the search light sweeping backwards and forwards across the lawn. Without a minute to loose my self and DD (she was about 14 ) went outside end every time we were in the beam of light we linked arms and started dancing like the tiller girls , Goodness knows what the police must have thought of us

It's funny how sometimes you can't sleep and other nights when an earthquake wouldn't wake you! My claim to fame was sleeping through the great storm of 1987 - never heard a thing and couldn't understand why the schools were closed!!

Mimi - your high kicks must have been high enough to scare of the police!!

Plant - I hope that little kitten behaves himself while your family are away. How is GD? I hope she doesn't miss her ball.

Oma - don't overdo things with your garden!

Avo - what a nice idea that big brother gets a nice outing while the family meet his new brother. I'm sure he will want to tell you all about it when he gets back!

Gem - I hope the GCs have enjoyed their party Gem. I'm sure you will have a lovely time with them tonight.

OH did ok at the car boot sale - he was selling toys the GDs have grown out of - but still has some left. He's talking about going back tomorrow - there were only about half the usually Sunday crowds there today, but it was quite wet first thing.

I have pottered around in the garden and weeded all the slate area in the front. Despite there being a membrane under the slate weeds still germinate and if you do't keep on top of them they're difficult to get out.

DD3 and OH came round for a while this afternoon, after dropping off their cat to her new home for the next few months. It was quite a family gathering in our garden for a while, with lollies or Cornettos all round ๐Ÿ˜Š
Just about to settle GS for the night then spend a little time with GD.

Lollies and cornettos Gem, what more do you need.

Oma,take care, doing all that work in the garden.

Many years ago, a car once lost control and came through our fence.
I never heard a thing. Hubby was at work on nights at the time.
Got up,just before he came home and i noticed some of the fence was missing.
One of the neighbours told me police were chasing the car.
By the time i got up,car had been dragged out, just the damage was left behind.

Hubby planted the tubs up today.
I was going to cut the grass, but just didn't have the energy.

                    Clouded over now.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

I'm glad you slept better Nan2.

Both GC were very good, GD is in bed with us now and GS is just waking up.
Once they go home I will go to my mum's for a while, then we are meeting a friend at 6.30 for a meal.

                          Thinking of Aggie.

                            Good morning all.
We managed to do a bit of gardening late yesterday evening as the weather took a turn for the better.Hopefully it will stay that way today.
We watched the history of the London Palladium yesterday evening. It was lovely seeing some old clips of the acts that appeared on there many years ago . I can remember as a child watching it with mum and dad . Usually I had to go to bed halfway through the program as it was deemed to late to see it through till the end as there was school in the morning! I was however given, as a special treat to stay up and see it all the way through when the Beatles appeared on there.

Nan2 hope you have a better day today as you have had a better nights sleep.

As its a bank holiday today has anyone got anything special planned. As neither of us work anymore one day is very much like another so bank holidays and weekends donโ€™t mean a lot to us anymore. Sometimes I have to look at my pc to see what the date is . If ever a doctor was to ask me whatโ€™s the day and date I would be hard pushed to give the correct answer!

Whatever you have planned enjoy it

                                Good morning everyone.

It's a beautiful sunny day here, and already quite warm. I was planning to spend most of the day tackling two borders that are getting swamped with weeds, but my back has other ideas. I'll see how I feel after a shower!

I know Aggie has family living close by, and I hope they are keeping her company when she needs it, but I'm sure she will appreciate all your kind thoughts.
