                Oma - you've done a week's work in a couple of hours!

Plant - I hope everyone is feeling better. I do hope the weather is kind for the wedding tomorrow.

Zizi - I can imagine the chaos getting even more chaotic! The puppies won't mind, but S and J might when they find their favourite things chewed up by sharp little puppy teeth! Our GSs have been to Diggerland in Essex, but I think there are several around the country!

Grauntie - do your GSs do 'foreigners' - their gardening skill sound excellent!

Qwerty - I would never think of taking any of my GCs to a 'stately home' - I'd be terrified what might happen, but Lotheron Hall have obviously thought about what appeals to youngsters.

Libra - lovely for the girls to have a chance to get out in the fresh air after all this awful rain. T looks weary, I hope she's sleeping ok. xx

Nanto - are you pleased with your hairdo?

I've had a lazy day today. I felt a bit better after a shower but not up to building beds, so I stayed at home and DIL2's dad went over to help my OH build the beds. They're new ones - midi beds - and the girls will be so delighted I'm sure. Poor GD2 was still in a cot with the sides off because their old room was too small for a proper single bed. Mum is letting them choose their new bedding.

I've done a couple of loads of white washing and it was such a treat to be able to dry outdoors - how sad is that!!!

Libra T looks very tired but nice to see she is able to be out of bed. Hope she continues to improve

Daisy its not at all sad about drying the washing out side, it smells so much nicer for being out.

Zizi how are you feeling now after your appointment with the osteopath

Now has anyone ever replaced the washing line on their rotary airier ? Now I have done this many times over the years with no bother, it will be easy I thought, won't take long I thought. How wrong was I .So after I had been out in the front garden tidying up the boarders I went round to the back garden and proceeded to replace the old thinning washing line . I started the job at 3 pm and didn't finished until just after 5pm , OH came to investigate my absence and he helped me other wise I would still be there now. I was tangled up in miles of washing line , my hands were cold and my back was giving me jip . I never want to see another r washing line again . It got so bad at one stage I was thinking about giving in and going on the internet to buy a new rotary airier from Argos, they have a Fast Track service which would have meant that I could have it delivered and in the ground before I could get the new line on the old airier.

                      Hope everyone is well
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

We were going to have fish and chips last night only to find chippie shut until 9th. So we had Chinese instead! Tonight I have an oven, but I'm not risking using it until it's all wired up properly and into the wall! So ready meals it is!

Daisy, not sad at all about getting the washing out. Can't beat line dried washing.
i only had my usual trim Daisy, nothing fancy.

Mimi, i used to have a rotary clothes line, and hubby did replace the line, but it was a long time ago.
Don't have the rotary now, since hubby did some alterations in the garden.

                            What are ‘foreigners’ Daisy? 😬

I've been wondering if it's possible to replace the line on my rotary clothes drier. It sounds as though it's not unless Mimi and Mr Mimi can come and help me!! It's amazing how those 'little' jobs can take for ever!

Guess what - all that washing is now crying out for a date with the hot hissy thing!!!

OH didn't finish building the GDs beds. He's generally quite good at sorting out flatpack furniture, but so far he and DIL's dad have spent 6 hours on the first one, which is nowhere near finished!

Wee Granny - What a pity your new oven isn't quite ready to go into action yet. I believe they can take a month or so before they feel bedded in enough to actually be used - they're sensitive little souls, you know, and the only thing you can do is eat out!

Grauntie - 'doing a foreigner' is when an employed workman (or woman!) does a job 'on the side' for someone else - for cash.

Mimi I am a bit sore, it did really hurt today. I cannot believe I actually pay for someone to hurt me! Seriously though. I am on my fourth appointment and my neck is feeling much better but my thumb is not doing thst great. Osteo says that injuries to hands take longer to heal because you cannot not use your hands especially if your injury is in your right hand and you are right handed.

Tomorrow I have a lot to do. I have seen a job that might be a good fit, second one this week, so have to look at my CV and bring to the front the bits that fit with a non construction role, I have to do some hot flat hissy stuff, scan and send some documents to the solicitor who is dealing with a collective claim for non consultation in the redundancy situation. I also have to steam clean the bottom stairs as, I don’t kniw how this happened. but there is a big black stain on the bottom bit of the beige carpet. Husband has found his knees playing up the last couple of days (not helped by him insisted in doing the low work i.e. kneeling, in the garden) so I want to do that stair carpet cleaning before he gets in and gets all macho about it.

Grauntie I think Daisy means not related to or a long way away!

Mimi I didn’t even know you could replace the line on a Rotary dryer. I would take the easy option and buy a new one. My own one is about five years old and we bought it nit realising that it is gigantic. It is fine though, let the air circulate as husband says.
