Had a most enjoyable lunch out, but feel as if I've eaten far too much! Track pants on now!!! Then we went to find the Crematorium where OH's funeral is being held on Wednesday. It's not in our local area so we thought it best to find out where it actually is. It's a very large one with what looks like two chapels, hope we go to the right one!
Used my slow cooker for first time last night and made a curry which turned out very well, so shall be using it again. Will try a chicken casserole next week.
Have a good day everyone!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Mimi - well done to your OH - we all need a bit of pampering sometimes.
Gem - I was surprised both Tesco Express and Sainsbury's local - both in the village - were open. My friend had asked for lemons and bananas, and I thought while I was there I'd get her some flowers to cheer her up, but there wasn't much choice, so I decided to get a few basics for poorly tummies and coughs - Yakault, Tonic water with Elderberry, chicken soup, and some blueberries because they're superfruit and I know she likes them. She really didn't look very well, and I've just phoned her and she's going back to bed after The Durrells.
Plant - your poor GD. She probably shouldn't have gone to work without someone making sure she was ok. Some Specsavers stores are open on Bank Holiday Monday, if that's any help, Plant. Could you end up being a practice patient for your GS2's acupuncture course?
Libra - I hope your visit to DD went well and she was pleased with her Easter Eggs. How was the roast beef? That's what I'm doing tomorrow.
Wee Granny - the slow cooker curry sounds lovely - something I must try.
Oma - you must be worn out on so little sleep. I hope you have a good night to make up for it tonight.
I didn't get done half the things I'd planned today - I was tired too and my get up and go had got up and gone. I hope it comes back for tomorrow!!
Have a peaceful evening and a good night's sleep, ladies. x

They are hoping to do something tomorrow about GD's glasses. Her face was full of smiles this afternoon, she has a new kitten, he is gorgeous, they have called him Milo. I hope he doesn't miss his family when he goes to sleep, they have made him a makeshift bed and poo tray. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Bank Holiday morning, everyone.
Nanto - snow at Easter - having this weather now, surely we will have a good warm and sunny summer! It's pouring with rain here - for a change!
Plant - how lovely, a new kitten. Milo is a nice name for him. I hope he slept well. I can imagine how delighted your GD must be - and I rather think Grandma might do a bit of kitten spoiling too!
My get up and go and come back after a good night's sleep so a quick tidy up, run the sucky up thing round and then into the kitchen to start dinner. Pot roast of beef, with roasties, Yorkshire puds, maybe some roasted veggies and some steamed, with apple pie and ice cream of custard. I need to get cracking!!

Good morning all, from rainy wet York, but no snow yet!
Nan2, I see you have the snow that was forecast. I hope it disappears soon,
Plant, a new kitten how lovely, I'm sure he will make you all happy.
I'm glad you managed to do your friend's shopping Daisy. I'm sure she was grateful, I hope she feels better soon.
Today OH was due to play in a golf competion, which we suspected wouldn't actually happen. The cource is closed, so it is off.
I had no plans apart from feeding DD3's cat. OH has been asked to help a friend with a DIY problem now, so we are going over there at 11.
Other exciting bank holiday plans - returning printer cartridges to Tesco and TV to John Lewis!!
I don't think we need worry to much about WG's OH's funeral, unless he is being buried alive

For some unexplainable reason the song with the lyrics “It’s raining again “is going around in my head.can’t understand why !
Good morning all Hope you are all well
Oh plant a new kitten, how lovely and such a nice name .
We had a lovely meal yesterday, lamb shank with all the trimmings but I was too full for a dessert and there was sticky toffee pudding on the menu
Have a restful Easter Monday and don’t eat too much chocolate
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Ooooooops! Should have read OH's Aunt's funeral! Red face here. Guess what? It's raining here,I am seriously fed up with it now and it's cold as well. Think I've persuaded OH to go and look at chairs for kitchen. Watch this space ladies.
Enjoy your day whatever you get up to and keep warm and dry!Believe you can and you're halfway there.
