I had a text from DD at 7.15 am saying GS1 was keen to come for his sleepover now, but she was sure we had plans. We don't have plans as such, but neither did I bargain on him being here all day and overnight, especially as is is the GC who wakes very early! I said sometime this afternoon would be good. She then told me he has a party to go to from 1 to 3, but preferred to come here! DD is hoping to persuade him on the merits of doing both

It's bright and sunny here but there has been a frost. the sun through the window is lovely and warm - not so pleasant outside though.

I hope all the poorly people are feeling a bit better and enjoying some sunshine too. Did everyone have a good night's sleep?

Gem - so glad you are feeling a bit better. Oh dear, it's lovely to be loved so much your GS wants to be with you instead of at a birthday party, but you could probably do with taking it easy today. Remember what we've said about taking care of ourselves when we need to. A sleepover is tiring anyway, without an early riser.

Nothing much planned today. I need to get some washing done, and after that I'll just see how the day goes, I think!

Thanks Daisy, I intend to take it as easy as I can None of my DDs were early risers, neither are GD or GS2, so GS1'S early morning bounding about is always something of a shock! I intend to book somewhere for OH and I for Sunday lunch tomorrow, so the rest of the day will be easy!

How is everyone today.?
Sunny here and looks lovely out but I haven’t stuck my nose out yet to feel the temperature.I’ll find. out soon when we go to buy a paper.
I also want to see what has been going on on the footpath behind our house. Workmen were “doing things” out there yesterday so I’d like to know what they were up to. The path runs alongside a bank on the other side of our fence and gradually the bank is getting eroded away and if they’ve widened the path the bank could collapse. altogether.

Washing is done and a sausage casserole in the slow cooker so I’m on a roll.Only hope it lasts.

How is everyone. I was AWOL yesterday so forgive me if I haven't caught up with all the chat.

DIL rang me yesterday asking was I busy this weekend, me busy ? I think you will find 'busy' is my middle name.
Anyway she wanted to know as GD wanted to have a sleep over here which I am extremely pleased about as teenagers always seem to be busy elsewhere so its nice she wants to spend time with a couple of old wrinkles like us. Also DD is picking me up later and taking me out for lunch . OH has declined the offer as he wants to watch the football/rugby whilst listening to the local match on line. Who says men can't multi task ! Also he says it will give me chance to catch up on some girly talk. GD will do all the talking while myself and DD listen I suppose !

Hope all our poorly folk are feeling much better today .

Morning ladies sorry I wasn’t on so much yesterday, so sorry if I missed anything I shouldn’t have will catch up now . Lovely and sunny but I havnt stuck my nose out, easy day today a quick tidy up and then like Daisy I’ll go where the day takes me who knows

Libra I totally agree when I snoop on the other site I am shocked at the nastiness they have no patience with people and their problems, not all of them are like that but they seem to be in the minority
Whilst I remember thanks for the lovely comments on my bathroom more than I was expecting unless you are all being very kind to me lol, I can’t make my mind up about it ,DS says it looks like a tarts boudoir mmmmmm say it like it is son 😀

Hi all boy it is chilly,I was well wrapped up on my walk, looked like someone from Siberia . The sunshine was great,but reached the field and that cold wind went straight through me. Just pottered the rest of the day,and easy dinner for us, cheese,ham and onion omelette. Haven't heard any news as yet,hope my DD didn't suffer to much with the spinal tap.

Been to see Art at the Arts theatre in Cambridge. It was very funny and the theatre was full quite surprising as the prices they charge for tickets sets you back a bit! It's the £3 admin fee on each ticket that gets my goat....then they ask if you'd like to make a donation!!!
Bitterly cold here, so that's us in for night! Jacket pots, prawns and salmon for dinner then Apple strudel if any room for pud!
DS is recovering from quite a big operation yesterday. Doesn't want his Mum to go out and look after him!!
