      Cyclamens are very pretty Oma.
I'm sure the mince pies will be welcome at bowls Plant.
I hope the poorly ones are better soon Daisy. Good news about the i pad!

GS2 is a good walker, but we are not allowed to park anywhere near school, then there is a lot of playground to get round! On Friday I cheated and parked close to school for the Christmas Fair, which meant I left the buggy in the car.
He's just gone down for his afternoon nap, so fingers crossed he will give OH a peaceful afternoon while I am out.

Afternoon all. I think the parking near school is usually the ones that are young and could walk, not that your old but I do think you are entitled to park near as a grandma and a little one in tow, do you think I could get a 7 yr old to sleep in the afternoon😴 so far we have delivered cards, had a visitor for coffee and mincepies, been and ordered my bread for Saturday. Made 14 Xmas cookies well g/d measured and I mixed , she is now making an elf but grandad seems to be doing most of the sewing 😉
Nan2 it was me that said Oma should get some exercise from the wardrobe
Daisy you sound exhausted you need some rest any coming up ? Hope they are all better very soon, hope all poorly ones get well for Xmas

Been to see eldest grandaughter and delivered their presents.
Told MIL we were going Iceland (shop) on our way home.
Ended up with a long list of things she wanted/needed.

Well we had a change from Christmas things today......went to see the solicitor about getting Power of Attorney sorted out!!! Quite painless apart from the cost!

Got phone call last night from DD....can we have GS tomorrow overnight. Supposed to be going to other Gran's for a few days, but she's behind with her present wrapping, so can't have him!!! Shan't repeat what was said about her in our house.

Last yoga tonight, feel in need of it!

No report about that accident yesterday, so assume everyone OK.

Nanto you are so good to them I bet they couldn't do without you

WG isn't it always the same , just as well DD can count on you .

Qwerty , well it gave Granddad something to do hahaha

Finished my Christmas wrapping today so everything is in bags with labels on ,
We have had all the cupboards upside down looking for a couple of Christmas dishes I have ,
One is a ceramic one with Christmas trees on and the other is a long 3 compartment one I use every year for snacks , we cant find them anywhere .
Its only a little house so they have to be somewhere in hear ,
              So frustrating

WG, your GS isn't a baby, how would having him stop the other Gran from doing her wrapping?! Good job you are on hand to stand in
Qwerty, you had a full day. Has your GD broken up from school? My GC have to go to school until Friday!
I hate it when you can't find things you know are there Oma!
Nan2, I know that feeling of being given lists of other people's shopping

20 month old GS answered the phone today, then proceeded to press lots of buttons! Fortunately the person was still there on the other end.
Lovely chat on the journey home from school with GD. GS slept until just before we got back, so everyone was happy.

Yes Gem she broke up on Friday, tomorrow unlikely to be on got all 3.
Was going to bake cookies with twins but with today’s fiasco that’s scotched 🤨 so leaving eldest to do the entertaining they love their big cousin
Nanto your a smashing dil , as is Gem as a Dd well done to you all who have this sandwich family effect

Oma I do computer banking using the little calculator type things. Yesterday I went into both bank accounts because husband got notification to say his card had been declined for the new chair. Goodness knows what he did as there is money in both accounts. I checked both the joint current accounts using the calculator thingie and reordered. One of the calculator things was low on battery so I bought new ones today (very expensive). Went to drawer where I always keep them to replace batteries and found the one that they should go in but cannot find the other one! I have looked everywhere, in my bag although I never take them out of the house unless we are going on holiday, under the chair cushions, in the footrest holes. Haven’t got a bruddy clue where the flipping thing is. I am working tomorrow but I might pop into a bank and ask if they have another. I feel quite insecure not being able to log in to the account.

Chicken, salad and new potatoes for dinner tonight. Chicken needs to be used up and I cannot be bothered to be creative. Need to sort out dinner for tomorrow and the rest of the week, plenty in the freezer.

Our new new internal doors will not be in now until first week in January as the actual doors are out of stock. Shame as I would have liked them to be in before Christmas but it doesnt matter that much. By end January sitting room, bedroom and hall will be complete and only GC bedroom left to finish (and bathroom problem which I haven’t yet mentioned to himself). My goodness with all that new stuff I might have to start doing housework.

If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

WG - I'm also behind with my present wrapping, so could you possibly have my GD2 tomorrow as well - and the puppy of course!

I got home about quarter past six tonight, helped OH to get things (of the Christmas variety!) down from the loft and then went and put together leftovers from yesterday's lunch for a quick meal. OH looked at it and said"I'm having a diet day today' - my response was a credit to me "well, love, just leave what you don't want'! Needless to say his plate was cleared.

Zizi - these technological marvels are great - until the batteries fail! How frustrating though to have the batteries and not the gadget to put them into. All your new furnishings and decorations will be great - and even though Christmas isn't the deadline it won't be long before it\s all finished, then you can sit back and relax. For goodness sake don't ruin that relaxation by doing housework!!!

Mimi - I love pastry, but I also like the sound of your potato-topped chicken pie. I bet it's really tasty.

Plant - if you need to get rid of mincepies, I could help! I had grand ideas about taking a batch to dog training tomorrow (for the people, not the dogs!) but I've run out of time.

Oma - I hope MIL likes her cyclamen.

Nana - did you enjoy your day out today? I hope it wasn't too cold. It got very chilly here just after 3 pm and the windscreen was iced up by the time I left DS's.

Nanto - I'm sure your in-laws are delighted to be all spick and span ready for Christmas - and having their shopping done too. I think you and Gem and others who do shopping for the older generation deserve special gold stars - it's bad enough shopping for yourself! xx

I've just reread the post I made earlier, and wondered who Ed was. Now if I don't know, I don't know who will!!! Then I realised I was on my iPad being helped by Cooper who thought it was great fun to try and grab my fingers as I was typing!!!

Oma - it's lovely - I like the contrast between the white flowers and the dark leaves. If she doesn't like it I'm sure you will find a spot for it.

Lovely plant Oma, hope Mil is pleased with it.

Daisy, how on earth are you managing to keep going, looking after the poorly ones and a puppy. You could have some mince pies if you lived nearer, I think the family next door have had enough. Bowls members devoured some.

Nanto and Gemini, you are very caring to the old folk.

Wee Granny I arranged Power of Attorney when I did the Probate after my husband died but I have not put it into action yet.

Seems like we all had a busy day yesterday. no doubt we will all be busy today.

Asda shopping being delivered between 9 and 11. Hope it comes nearer to 9, then i can get it all away and its done with.

Oma, the plant looks lovely,i think cyclamens are very pretty.

No frost this morning, feels quite mild.

Its very frosty outside this morning but it talks of being mild and windy for Christmas.

Oma the plant looks lovely, I’m sure MIL will love it. I have to get some sort of plant/indoor bulbs for DIL . I need something that is very hardy as she isn’t the most green fingered person I know.

Daisy what a busy woman you are !

Ziz I do online banking also but ever since OH was subject to identify fraud he insists I check our bank account every day . He doesn’t do online banking himself as he says he doesn’t understand it. I tell him he should practice it and it would soon become easy ( It’s not exactly difficult is it ) .

We we went to the cemetery yesterday as planned and instead of bunches of flowers we got mini Christmas trees for each grave. This turned out to be a considerable saving as the trees were £3 each , the average price of the flowers £5 . After we went and had a coffee then it was last few bits and bobs for Christmas. I needed some very large Christmas type bags for transporting all the presents in on Christmas Eve. We found a bargain in a shop that is sadly closing down. At this rate all we will have in our city centre is coffee shops, very expensive coffee shops I must add.

My neighbour came over yesterday with a bunch of Christmas themed flowers for me. This was a complete surprise as she is popping over to feed our cat while we are away so I would have thought that I would be the one to buy flowers for her .Good job I have brought her a Christmas present or else I would feel very awkward.

Waiting in today for the very exciting, delivery of a ...wait for it.... outdoor black plastic bin ! We have the big recycling bins given free by the council but we pop a black bin liner in the smaller bin and put rubbish in that and when the bag is full we tie it and put it in the bigger bin . It is far easier than putting an empty liner in the wheelie bin and the trying to put rubbish in that. As I am only short there is a danger could fall in whilst leaning over , never to be seen again ! The reason we have to get a new small bin is because of last week’s snow. When it was thawing, it slid off the roof and smashed into the bin destroying the lid. Who would have thought that snow could do that.

By by the way has anyone ever painted a black plastic bin ? I am wondering, if I were to paint it, drill holes in the bottom I could use it as a planter. Or if OH gets his way he is going to use it to stack his spade, garden rake etc in .

Have te a nice day ladies
