GS1 day. Once again there are roadworks on the road between here and where they live. I have to add at least half an hour onto my journey time. I was once late to collect him from preschool after underestimating the length of delay last time there were roadworks. He has opted to come here after school today, so no after dark driving for me. I am happy about this, as sleet and snow are forecast

Sunshine atm, I am going to the cinema with a neighbour friend, we are going to see The Darkest Hour. I have free tickets from my Lloyds Bank A/C and we both have free bus passes so win win all the way. I am expecting to hear something about the new car today.

Good morning all, it’s a dry but cold and windy day here.
We are off to town in a while , we are going to the butchers to order some meat to start to fill up the freezer as it’s running low.
Apart from that not a lot planned for today.

Morrison's delivery came just before 9. It was fresh meat I really needed. Some of it has been put in the freezer. Keeps coming very dark, then it rains/snows. Stay warm everyone.

My oven glass arrived this morning while I was out but my neighbour took it in

Been to buy new towels for the bathroom today , went to Dunelm and managed to get some lovely thick White ones in the sale ,
.2 massive bath sheet's reduced to £17.99 each and 3 hand towels reduced to £6.99 each so I'm a happy bunny .
I also managed to put another Duvet cover and pillow cases in the trolley and two new pillows for the spare bed .
B just rolled his eyes

Plant, half the time I’ve got no idea who I’m looking after either. Cooper was really tired after his busy day yesterday. He ha£ a sleep, then GD2 and I took him out for a walk. Gave him his dinner and he’s snoring on the sofa again. It won’t last. GD2 has sweet talked me into giving her a choc ice lolly for pudding. I don’t know how she managed that! Softy gran! I hope you enjoy the film. It’s supposed to be very good.

its cold and showery here. We just managed to dodge the rain this morning, but GD found quite a few puddles to jump in!

it sounds as as though there are a lot of empty freezers around. Nice to ge5 them stocked up again.

I was delayed all of 3 minutes at 3 temporary traffic lights, so have had a nice afternoon reading at DD's! Yesterday it took DD 3 hours to get to work, so I played it safe and allowed lots of time.

You did good Gem , we had to divert going to Dunelm , they are resurfacing the roads leading to our new bridge across the wear ,
There were no signs till you got almost to the spot they had closed , lots of cars having to turn around

OH did his kind deed this morning and took our elderly neighbours to the GP's. When he hadn't come back after an hour and a half, and I was due at school for my reading session, I locked up and went down to the surgery. He didn't have keys nor mobile with him!! Turns out doc wanted wife to go to hospital but couldn't get an ambulance nor hospital transport to take her. So they were waiting until a family member could come and take her in. DiL arrived and OH brought hubby back to our's. Ex SiL came and took neighbour back home and now we're waiting to see how neighbour is. She is like a little bird and has all sorts of problems in the past. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.
