Welcome home, Nanto. Sleep well tonight - it's always nice to get back to your own bed, and have a proper cup of tea.
I'll look forward to hearing all about your holiday in your journal.
Plant and Oma - I always think there must be a better solution than either free-standing wardrobes or fitted ones. When we were doing our bedroom some years ago I suggested we created a walk-in-wardrobe between our room and the guest room. It would have meant taking fited wardrobes out of both rooms and moving the stud wall to make a decent size walk-in wardrobe. OH thought it was the maddest idea I'd had in a long time, but I told new neighbours when they moved in - and they did it! It's such a great solution, and it keeps the bedroom looking tidy and spacious, even though there's no more actual space.
Mimi - I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. x
We had a lovely time with Eva just before lunch. The sun was quite warm and we sat for a while just watching her play. The friends who own the paddock we take her to are due to go on a month's holiday tomorrow morning, but she isn't very well. The doctor sent her for blood tests and an x-ray this morning. The x-ray was ok but she had to wait until this evening for the blood test results. They've gone up to Heaathrow anyway, with fingers crossed that she is ok to fly. They're a lovely couple and will be so disappointed if they can't go - please send them good vibes.
This afternoon I managed to cut the lawn and trimmed the edges. It was quite wet so I didn't cut it too short. People keep telling me it has stopped growing! Ha! Then I spent an hour or so weeding between the paving cracks on the patio. I did an area from the back door to the greenhouse and it looks much better. It's a never ending job which I hate, but feel very smug when (if) I ever get it all done.
Clover - a black bag full of leaves will rot down to very little leaf mould - you will need lots! Are there any horrible thugs of weeds under the fallen leaves?
