A much calmer day here today. No actual damage but things blown over and out of place.Neighbour's fence the other side to us has blown over.Our new one survived thank goodness.
Plumber has just arrived to change tank. Apparently the old tank sprang a serious leak as he was moving it so an emergency call went up for old towels. I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting developments
Oma what are you after in Ikea? Hope it's something nice to please B as well to make up for his dislike of the trip P.S.Don't forget the napkins!

It is still windy here. OH is playing in a golf competition, I hope there are no wild golf balls!
I have a unexpected free day. I was due to be working this afternoon, 2 clients, a couple. The wife has a throat infection so they had to cancel. They are friends of mine, we will reschedule for after half term.
I have a lot of things both at home and away to be getting on with today.
For now however I will head off to the Tea Rooms!

A man from JL here all morning fitting my curtains, he has put all the pleats in place and tied the curtain to keep them pleated, I am not to take off the plastic ties for a few days. As far as I can see, I am very pleased with them. Now having the room decorated and new carpet and curtains, the settee and chairs look as if they need attention. I wouldn't change them but might consider new upholstery. They are Ercol Bergere and all the covers come off and just leave the hardwood frame so shouldn't be too difficult to replace them but I need to let my bank A/C settle for a bit and get used to the new curtains.

Plant we have a man coming around tomorrow to quote for decorating the sitting room and hall. We are considering only having blinds at the sitting room window as the room looks so much bigger and brighter without curtains. We are not overlooked so do not have a problem with that. We have decided to wait until the NEXT chairs come which will be in a couple of weeks to make a decision. Have changed our minds about the new light fitting and lamp.

I went out to do some grocery shopping and to find a nice gift box for an anniversary present. I also did some Christmas shopping while I was there.
OH brought me a most delicious mince pie back from the golf club! They got one each after their meal and her friend didn't want one. The first of the season!

You're all busy busy. Good news that I'm discharged from the Eye hospital now. The sight in my right eye isn't all that special but if I had an operation to fix it there could be lots of repercussions. so I've decided to live with it.

2 out of 3 health issues sorted so I'm on the way up.

Hooray for being discharged Nana. you are getting there!

The wind seems to have died down completely,and the sun is shining here.
I am out for meal with 2 friends tonight.. OH and I are going to see Victoria and Abdul today.
We were awake a lot in the night as OH had bad tummy pain. The way she describes it sounds to me like gallstones. Most of us have them, and if one gets trapped in a bile duct in can cause pain for several hours. Let's hope this is the last of it. Hope I don't fall asleep in the cinema!!

Well the plumber finally left after 3 and a half hours! He had estimated it would take about 2 Still it's done now apart from paying the bill. It was a quote rather than an estimate.so shouldn't be more than expected.

Off for flu jabs this morning.I keep thinking about Oma's experience.

Did my ironing this morning and housework , now having a cupper and a potter on hear ,

DD just dropped Dog off she's going into work later this morning ,she's off to GS1's school .
Received a letter complaining he had 2 days off in the past month ,
Those two days were when he broke his thumb playing Rugby , he had to go to A&E the next day the Friday and then to the Fracture clinic on the Monday , both days the school were informed he would be absent .
DD is fuming as it goes on his record as unauthorised absence ,She isn't having that fair enough if it was something trivial he was absent for but this happened in school .

Ooh, I would be annoyed if I was your daughter Oma!! What do they expect the poor boy to do, refuse any treatment so he could get 100% attendance? I am going to write about this matter somewhere else on here now!

OH is fine thanks for asking everyone. A bit sore, but the pain has gone and she feels well and is eating.
We are having a toilet seat delivered this afternoon,.What joy . The downstairs loo is very difficult to find the correct seat for, so we are crossing fingers this will be the right one.

Afternoon ladies

Just to let you know I wasn’t on yesterday after being up all night Monday with what I can only describe as stomach cramps I blamed Frankie and Benny 😏 so spent the day in bed yesterday but finally coming round just feel a bit sore like I have been punched , it’s my asthma review tomorrow and flu jab so better start coming round .

I’ve got some ironing waiting but it can nanas I’m taking it easy 😀

Nana nice to hear about the discharge from hospital , funnily enough I had a dream about you, that I received a note from you saying you had got a degee in child psychology I don’t know where the heck that came from but I was very pleased for you and will be taking any advice you can give me 👍🏻

The twins are having their first nursery photograph today 💕

OH been for his try on of new specs only to find he can’t see out of them , he has had varifocals for many years so it’s not like he doesn’t know how to use them so deep joy has to go back next week they cost him £300 with anti glare and glass that goes dark in the sun etc so he wants them right

Will catch up now with the other posts whilst OH finishes cutting the grass he has promised me a latte when he comes in
