Just relaxing before lunch. Eggs benedict for breakfast and Greek yoghurt, oatmeal and melon plus some VERY strong coffee. Lunch at 2pm after which I shall donate a big bubbly bath to myself before champagne and canapés followed by dinner tonight by which time I shall be half a stone heavier as I rarely eat big meals but it has to be done doesn’t it?

children FaceTimed last night and dil sent pictures of them opening their Christmas Eve bags. We decided not to light my dad’s candle lest it set the fire alarms off but I have wished him happy birthday and will raise a glass to him at lunchtime.

Husband bought me an illuminated travel make up mirror and Jean Paul Gaultier perfume. I bought him new trainers and after shave. We did say we weren’t going to do presents but I think we both secretly wanted to.......

hope you ar are all having a lovely day with your friends and families xxx

A bit late in the day to be wishing you all a Happy Christmas so I’m sending Christmas spirit to last for a year.

We’re having a lovely day with family and have eaten far too much. Sorry can’t do a pretty graphic on my phone. 😘😘👍

                          Good morning everyone.
Good to know your days went well, Daisy, Nan2 and Oma

This morning OH and I are going over to DD2's house to help with lunch preparations and/or amuse toddler GS. The rest of the family arriving at 1, DD3 picking up my mum on the way. We will have a full Christmas Dinner, and later a buffet tea! My ex OH and his wife will come over for the tea bit.
So, a lovely busy day, and chance to spend time with all GC. A contrast to yesterdays nice but very quiet day with just us and my mum! Apart from 'The Queen' she doesn't want to watch any TV and doesn't play games, so it does drag a bit, LOL. I know I am lucky to have my mum though, and knowing today will be more fun gets me though.

                          HAPPY BOXING DAY, everyone!

Had a lovely day with DS DIL and 2 youngest GS's. for Christmas dinner. They came to DD's for present opening first, the blinis went down well, pleased I made them now. DD and SIL were cooking lunch for some of Sil's family. My favourite present was a bird box given to me by eldest GS and his partner, have to decide where to put it now. Apart from cooking Christmas dinner my DS was preparing curries for us all today, they have about 25 people coming for a late lunch.

Have a lovely Boxing Day ladies.

Like the rest of you it was a traditional family affair too much food and I came home a bit tipsy, had a tear when eldest g/c made us a picture frame with a Xmas drawing and on the other side a pic of her , mum didn’t know anything until we opened it she had made it at Santa’s Workshop during after school club , getting ready for the family coming today nice smells coming out of the kitchen , laying table shortly might even fit a bath in , OH bringing DS and family so they can have a drink, Twins ok now just a bit lethargic I’m told , anyway because OH picking them up they will come at my command lol , enjoy your day will read posts when I have more time , Oma will text you then you have my number 🤩

A good day for us yesterday at DDs. Lovely dinner and presents in the afternoon. My best present was a large copy of the photo we had when DS was over here recently that DD had done and framed. It just shows that a present needn’t cost the earth but can mean so much. We all played trivial pursuit in the evening, DGS wanted to play and of course he won....it went on for ages!, Nice supper, then toddled back over the road to bed. I’m pleased we didn’t have to drive 🤓
