It's a knitted dracula Clover. It's for a raffle prize for my brother's church, as is the Fr Christmas I recently knit. He's a Priest....as you can imagine we're like chalk & cheese as siblings.😉

Nana when I used to knit toys I found the knitting was okay but the sewing up I found tedious.
Plant glad you had a pleasant day.It's the preparation of all the fruit and veg. that takes so long when you're making chutney and mincemeat
I went to the hairdressers.My usual "girl" was off sick so I had someone else.It's never the same when you've got used to someone but at least my hair hadn't grown too much so only needed a tidy up.

Plant, chutney and mincemeat sounds good. I've made mincemeat in the past,but never made chutney.

I make Chutney often. Never mincemeat though I must admit. My last chutney make was from my glut of tomatoes and I made tomato chilli chutney some very hot and other pots not quite so hot.

Gem husband has had 18 years getting used to it and I think him ignoring it and pretending there is nothing wrong keeps him going. I know if he says my name or grabs my arm that he is I. Trouble, we have a system! He is very afraid of going blind though.

I have made Plants mincemeat recipe twice and very nice it was. I didn't make any last year, as I was waiting for my surgery and it was strange time. it's on the list for this year though!

Mum phoned me to say that her hairdresser took her to get a fridge freezer after doing her hair on Tuesday , which was kind of her. She realised that if I took mum today she would be fridgeless until next week, She had time to take her so did. It arrived this afternoon.
So, I just had to do mums usual shopping. I also planted some winter pansies for her and picked up more fallen apples from her garden.

My friend who came for coffee stayed for lunch. Something in the text she sent me in the morning told me she expected to stay for lunch. I had invited her at 10.30 for coffee!! She was then surprised that I had to go at at 1.30 ish. Which is why I hadn't invited her for lunch! Thursday is not a good day for that.She is Danish, maybe it is a cultural thing? With my other friends we only expect lunch at each others homes if specifically invited for lunch!

Gem we believe that the fuss about persuading him to register as partially sighted was a sort of tacit warning that his eyes are going to get worse but we may be wrong. We hVe had time to discuss and evaluate things and if the worst happens we will get through it as we always have. Anyway, as I said to him. At the moment if I want to pull a face or poke my tongue out at him I have to stand to one side, if it goes completely I will be able to pull faces at him all day..... I know some people will not understand the joke making about such a serious subject but as I say it has been a while and we have our own way of managing.

also Gem. There is a company called AO which is on line and early last year when our fridge freezer gave up the ghost we used them to get a FF which was delivered by lunchtime the next day and it was not expensive. Of course we just needed a stop gap because of the shiny new kitchen we were going to get. BUT I have to say it was a good fridge freezer, nice than the integrated one I have now, and the blokes brought it up the stairs, put it until place and took the packaging away with them plus they took the old one as well and put the still frozen food in it and even refused to accept a tip! In and out, no problems. Would recommend them to anyone.

Feels mild this morning. Hope it stays dry,then i can i can get the bedding out when i change it. Bedroom cleaning today and a few windows to clean.

Busy day for you Nan2. I think Plants recipe is in the recipe section.

This morning I am having reflexology, postponed from Tuesday as I was too busy to fit it in! I need to go to ELC to pick up a couples of things I ordered. Apart from that, and a visit to the mobile library, my day is free

I am working this morning and then this afternoon we are clearing the sitting room for the plasterer to come tomorrow. He will be making good four door ways which all had horrid arches built o er them and husband has made them back into proper shaped doors but they need making good, he will also be plastering one wall and the ceiling in the sitting room which has artex all over it. He says it is very old artex and badly applied so it is uneven with some parts being very thick and other parts not so, Goes with everything in this maisonette. Every time we have done anything we hve found the original cheaply and badly done. The electrics and plumbing in the kitchen were dire, plumbing in the bathroom was so bad with the wrong materials used so we had to pay much more to have the replacement done, when the windows were put in the workmen were putting the air conditioning unit in the bedroom and found that the electric socket was wired into an unsafe spur which they think used to work a storage heater, they were surprised we hadn’t gone up in flames. We have had the electric redone since then after which we will have 8 sockets in the sitting room, three with USB holes instead of the three we currently have.

Once the plastering is done it will be decorating time at last! Busy day all in all. Well busy for him as I am the supervisor which, of course, is a hard job in itself......

Been to my Sisters as its her 72nd Birthday today ,

We then went to Sainsbury's as I needed to buy some new hand towels for downstairs loo and they had some in I liked , A Silver grey and white stripe , didn't want to buy Black as Black fades when washed so needed something to go with Black White and Chrome ,
Anyway got home opened them up and one is all faulted so has to go back ,
Didn't fancy going back to shopping centre ,then remembered we going to Smyth's Toy shop after lunch to start getting Sophia's Christmas presents in and there is a Sainsbury's next door so will take it back there

Amazing Zizi what some builders got away with, at least having all these faults sorted you will feel safer.

A friend of mine had a water leak onto her bedroom ceiling which was artex. They used asbestos in artex so as it had been disturbed she had to have her bedroom ceiling taken down by asbestos removal experts and it re-plastered.
Fortunately she was insured.

Had a lovely lunch with my Aqua friends, they are a great crowd and have made me feel welcome. Just shopping for me today, when I am dressed. Oh I have just had a letter saying I have won £50 on my premium bonds, 13th not unlucky so far, fingers crossed.!!!
