Good morning all yet another night of very little sleep
Just how do you stop your brain thinking of 101 things at the exact moment your head touches the pillow ?

Now I really must finish wrapping presents today. I have brought more paper, I have an entire afternoon free so there is no excuse. Come on Mim ,get it done !

As its the last Sunday before Christmas Eve anyone doing a Sunday roast. In fact anyone doing one on Christmas Eve ?

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Mimi, and all who follow. Frosty this morning.

I'm not doing a roast today. We are going to eldest sons for dinner with him and his partner. They are making a roast dinner.

I won't be doing one Christmas Eve

Not much sleep here either for me. The tablets i bought last week, you can only take for 7 days, so didn't have one last night.
I have only been taking half a tablet at a time. I shall definately take half tonight.

Very frosty here too. Decided I am not going out today, I have lots of little bits to do in the flat. Quickly run the sucker upper around; do my nails; clean bathroom; bubble bath and wash hair; go through clothes for next weekend; do a couple of hours of my course and probably lots of things I remember to do along the way.

We are having roast pork today. Christmas Eve we will be in the hotel so champagne and canapés followed by five course dinner.

Morning ladies Nanto I love the graphics
Mimi I sometimes want to shout at my brain and tell it to shut up and switch off

DS popping in at lunch time but I must go to Asda first and wilko for them opening at 10 before the crush of shoppers get there ,

We have decided to move the beds around after the new year , I have just decorated and bought new curtains/ bedding etc for our room a couple of month ago , but our super king bed is just too big for our room and its getting difficult for B to get around it so we are swapping rooms as spare room is more square and bigger . I will transfer curtains etc into other room with the bed but means our current bedroom will need re decorating and curtains as window is a different size to spare room and them curtains wont fit, SIL is going to come and take beds down and then re assemble once we are sorted , just means like Zizi sleeping on mattress on floor for a night or two
More expence but worth it for ease and comfort ,

Have a good day ladies ,
Qwerty how did GD1's dental appointment go is she ok ? xxx

                Good morning everyone.

I hope you enjoy lunch at your sons Nan2.
Swapping bedrooms sounds a good idea Oma.

                Very frosty this morning.
We had a fantastic meal at our friends last night, and didn't get home until almost 1am.
Today we are having Sunday roast Mimi, not cooked by me though, we are going out, and taking my auntie. As I am still quite full from last night I don't even want to think about food! Hopefully by the time we eat I will be hungry.
We will see my mum today as well, as I have another full day childcare tomorrow. Present wrapping to finish too.

Have a good day everyone, and keep warm,

                  Good morning
A slight frost but it is now raining.
Like Zizi I have lots of little jobs round the house to keep me busy.
Just done two lots of washing so out to the drier with it. It’s weeks since I put washing in the garden.
Enjoy your Sunday ladies, especially if you are going out for lunch.

I don’t have a tumble drier, we couldn’t fit it in the kitchen without losing too much cupboard space. I am hoping that when we finally get the shed sorted I can have a drier in there and also a small chest feeezer. The freezer has been on the cards for about six months but, as usual with Mr “Don’t nag me” I am still waiting! I put some washing out yesterday once the frost had gone and it was out there for about five hours and still wet when I brought it in so hanging on the pull up thing in the spare room, not that there is a lot of room in there at the moment as we are gradually moving stuff in there ready for the doors in the hall and bedroom furniture.

Our garden is still white, at least we can get out and no problem with the roads. Family took GGS to see Father Christmas yesterday, lovely pic. of him in the grotto but he stared at FC and then started crying. Not planning much today, might make some more mince pies, can't keep up, family consume them so fast. DIL called in yesterday and she said GS3 said grandma hadn't sent him any mince pies so I raided the ones I made for next door for him. Got quite a busy week to come and must source that buckwheat flour.

Hope the swapping bedrooms makes it easier for B Oma. We are lucky to have SIL's to sort these things out for us.

My goodness Zizi you are certainly going to town with your home improvements. I am sure you are looking forward to your Christmas break, sounds lovely.

To be honest Plant when I heard the news about possible redundancy I was quite worried and said to husband maybe we should just do the minimum but he says that we should go ahead albeit looking more for bargains than previously as we had planned to have it all done after the kitchen fit, finishing Easter this year, but I couldn’t face any more upheaval and upset so it was all put on the back burner. He says once the work is done (and of the course the kitchen was the most expensive and has been paid for) we will be all set apart from a bit of decorating in the future. Plus as he says we have been putting money away that would have been for the mortgage although I would prefer to save it. His company are changing their pension scheme and those in the current one are being given a hefty slice of money. The change in the scheme will not affect husband as he is already of pensionable age but he is not taking it yet so he will still get the money.

I think he has conveniently forgotten that the bathroom needs work - not a lot but the taps on the bath have become wobbly and the only way to get to them is through the side which is tiled with the same tiles as floor and walls. I am not sure if that is an expensive job or not but it does need doing. I will gently bring it up at some point this week.

This morning I went through all my drawers and wardrobe so I know what I am taking for Christmas, give or take a few changes of mind. I have also put some warm things in a bag to drop them at the homeless shelter in town after Christmas. It is a bit of a pain dragging them on the tube but at least they will go to people who really need them.

Interfering in everything i do. Driven me nuts.

Oma, swapping bedrooms sound like a good idea, if it will make things easier.

Looking forward to dinner at sons house.

Went to Pets at home for Storms Christmas presents this morning ,
Got to be robust stuff cant buy him anything cheap he just destroys them in seconds ,
Anyway got there thought a quick look around get him couple of things and out again .
No such luck it was packed , the queue was down to the bottom of the shop at least 20 people or more , and only one girl serving ,
Paid £27 for two toys I think can withstand his teeth , standing in the queue and it was taking ages .
A man about half way up said this is madness so off he went to find the manager , don't know what he said but a couple of minutes later two young men came hurrying out of the back room and opened two more tills ,
Well done that man made a queue of people happy

As I didn't get my usual shop done on Friday ( being made greyless at the hairdresser's) or Saturday ( day out) went to Sainsbury's today. Nice covered car park, so didn't get wet in the rain, shop busy, but not too bad. Got all on my list, plus a lovely warm jumper (not on list) and headed home. Almost there only to be met by a stream of traffic. Could see yellow flashing lights on a lorry in distance and car in middle of road with front staved in. The odd thing was people were looking in the ditch at the side of the road. An ambulance eventually arrived and headed for the ditch and some time later someone was carried off on a stretcher. Police finally arrived and started taking photos, checking ditch and sweeping the road and putting out cones. We eventually started to move and I could see the top of a car completely in the ditch. How it got there I've no idea! The ambulance didn't rush off, so I assume person wasn't too badly injured. Gives you shivers down your back when you see things like that though!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
