    Morning ladies ,
Zizi I love Sherry trifle 😀
Daisy I will hold you to that trifle 😁
Well I have managed to get quite a lot in the loft myself just one very large plastic tub to go up when SIL comes and outside lights to come down , Bedrooms cleaned windows cleaned even sorted our big 12 ft storage wardrobe out in the spare room , we did put them in to store the children's toys ,long wide shelves with sliding doors , they now are just used as storage ,I'm thinking of taking them out this year and getting ordinary wardrobes , Sorting them out and came across a box of 250 outdoor lights we bought in the January sales and totally forgot about so I've put them with the rest of decorations , also found a very bright lantern we bought for emergency if we had a power cut , still in its box . It's amazing what you find isn't it when you have a good rummage 😁

Good morning all. Did you all have a good new year?
Just popped on here to see how you all are as I seem to have gone down with the dreaded lurgy. Throat and chest very sore , feels like I have been gargling with razor blades.

Keep yourselves warm as its very frosty today.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oh no, Mimi! Keep warm and get well soon.

I had a satisfactory shopping trip. I picked up my new non wired bras, tried on a couple of coats and bought one! I have been looking for a new winter coat for a while but couldn't find one I liked. My mum gave me money towards it for Christmas, and in fact I only had to pay an extra £9 pounds, so a cheap trip

Afternoon ladies, still feeling slightly yuk, but self inflicted. I am doing dry January for 2 reasons, A) to give my kidneys a rest and B) to prove to myself I do not need alcohol in the week and will stick to weekends come February. Anyway had a long, hilly walk with the dog and it blew the cobwebs away, then had to go to the dreaded photo booth to get some snaps taken for my new passport. I am doing roast lamb for dinner, yes I am cooking for once.

It will do you good Libra, and you will probably enjoy a drink more when it is a weekend treat Sadly our bodies can't take what they could when they were younger, not without punishing us for it!
I hardly drink, but have had to have this discussion with my OH more than once!
Roast lamb, one of my favourites! Smoked haddock for us tonight.

We had a long walk in the woods this morning and then I watched "Finding Dory" on DVD while GD went to see Star Wars film with her Mum and Dad. OH snoozed!
Feeling a bit sad as we are off home tomorrow after having a lovely long weekend with DD and family.I left our house in a bit of a pickle as DSs had only left the afternoon before so beds to change and decs to deal with. No rush though it'll get done eventually.

Lovely for you to spend time with your DD's family, hope it will not be too long before you see them again. Do they live very far away Clover?

It's approx.200 miles Plant so quite a journey.M4 M25 and A1 M. OH is still a competent driver as long as I navigate.I don't drive so when OH is no longer able to I don't know how often I'll see the family. They lead such busy lives it's a job for them to get free time all together to come to us.

Pleased you enjoyed your weekend Clover.
I seem to have lost my taste for alcohol. A few weeks ago i cooked a steak and ale pie,(by accident) nobody could taste the ale, except for me.
Decorations have been put away, house all back to normal now.

                            Good morning everyone.

Oma, my asessment, moved from 29th Dec due to the bug, is at 3 this afternoon.
I am meeting DD3 for lunch at 12.30. OH is playing in a golf competition, but will be back to go to the hospital with me.

I think a rest day is just what you need Oma!

Clover, you must miss your family after a being with them. I'm glad you had a lovely time.

Nana, I hope you feel less tired soon. We understand, just reply when and where you can My surgery is on Wednesday.

                            Cute picture Nan2.

Good morning everyone. It's very cold and frosty here, but at least the sun is shining, so my sympathies for those ladies having a cold dark day. I hate it when it never really gets light all day. Roll on Spring.

Nana - don't worry - as Gem says, we understand, and we all sometimes have days when we can't keep up! I hope you feel a bit better today. xx

Clover - you've got such a lovely family and it's sad that they are so far away. Did you ever learn to drive? If so, would you consider having some refresher lessons and getting back on the road? When my FIL stopped driving (MIL had never learned) they used to come to see us by coach - from North Wales to Bedfordshire, and later West Sussex. It took forever but they didn't mind because everything was taken care of for them and they didn't have to worry about their luggage once it was on the first coach.

Oma - A day doing nothing is good for you - just go with the flow. You've both been through so much you really deserve a good rest. xx

Gem - have a lovely lunch with DD3, and I'll be thinking of you this afternoon. xx

Nanto - I hope your parents are ok in this cold weather.

LG - how was your roast lamb?

I'm late getting up this morning so need to get a move on to take Eva out for a good run, she keeps going to the front door with a meaningful look on her face. Dogs might not be able to speak but they can certainly communicate! .... I'm coming, Eva!!!! Honestly.

Sunny and frosty here. Nothing planned, certainly no housework.

You have a very patient dog Daisy.

A day to yourselves, no work will be good Oma

Will be thinking of you Gemini
