Clover I'm envious of you 😊 have a wonderful holiday xxx
Zizi after what you have gone through you deserve to treat yourself , also you are taking stuff to charity so you repaying what you spend in kindness , xx
Have lovely holiday Clover.
We had a lovely day shopping in Sheffield today.
ZIZI, we all deserve a treat now and then. I bought a white top today with different coloured birds on.
Also looked for a new coat, for the winter, but didn't see what I wanted. I have seen what I want on the internet, so look like doing some online shopping.

Clover - I'm probably too late to say have a great time on your cruise, but I'll just pop down to the docks (not far from us) and wave you off as you sail out past Calshot and into the Solent. Beautiful views as the sun rises, and today's looks good.
Getting ready for unexpected visitors today - GS1 has a German student staying and they are all coming down to the Forest and the beach then afternoon tea here! I'm also getting ready for OH's brother and his wife arriving on Tuesday, so lots going on. I'm sorry I'm not quite keeping up with Chat, but hopefully I'll have a few minutes later.
Plant - so glad you're getting help. Is this a good time to do some of those jobs we all put off - like sorting out photos or your sewing basket. Whatever you do, so take care. xx

Good morning everyone.
Sunny day here, but feels chilly so far. I will find out when I hang out the washing!
Daisy I hope all goes well at yours. Such a busy time for you, don't worry about GRU!
I bought a few new tops on Friday, so I really need to sort out some things for the charity shop. Things I expect to 'slim back into' Things which fit me but I haven't worn for so many years I don't know why I'm hanging onto them, for example!
A job for later today I think.

Morning ladies been catching up with odd jobs cleaned both bedrooms and bathroom and general pottering around today . Had Forestry out last week took two trees down behind our garden fence and took some lower branches down on others ,yesterday I noticed lots of leaves and twigs behind the shed so may go out and clean that while the weather is good . Lots more light at back now . We have hundreds of trees around us and although they are lovely they grow so high and wide some are taller than the house so the canopy in leaf block a lot of light out . It's a thing in Washington we have sort of mini forests around every village and roads
Bedrooms and bathroom cleaned here as well.Catching up, after spending a lot of time at inlaws last week.Changed the bedding, i'ts drying lovely here.
Turned out quite warm.

Lovely day here today. Had a long walk this morning, through the pleasure gardens into town centre then through to the beach. So nice to see everyone out enjoying themselves, lots of children paddling, people sitting outside the cafés and the pier really busy.
After er lunch popped into DD's and heard how it went leaving GS at Uni yesterday. A few problems, ie getting the wifi sorted, key card not working, but otherwise went well. She was very stressed and emotional but she had heard from him this morning and apparently he met a friend from sixth form at the welcome meeting and another lad is arriving today. So I'm sure he will settle in fine.
hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Now back from an 'overnighter' at DD 2's. They went to a wedding and had a lovely time. So many weddings amongst their pals this year, this is no.6 😳😄. I had a lovely time with GSons. They are perfectly behaved for me, and J,4, confessed he is only naughty for his mummy and daddy. Now enjoying. G&T and hoping to stay awake for Poldark.😴

It turned out nice and warm here as well, but has gone a bit chilly now.
The German student was a lovely lad - very polite and quite good English. Afternoon tea was popular and he tucked in very well - thank goodness! I was amused that with two huge plates of assorted sandwiches he made a bee-line for the egg ones.
DS1 came down in his new (to him) car and took me for a quick spin in it. He's a proper petrol-head and told me all about its innards!
Enfys - I'm glad GS seems to be settling down well and has met up with some friends. He'll also make lots of new friends very quickly - they're all in the same boat, away from home for the first time.
GM - It's funny how weddings go like that isn't it - all or nothing. Enjoy your G&T with your feet up!
Oma - you will really feel the benefit of the extra light in the winter when it's so gloomy anyway. All the little forests sounds lovely though.
Gem - I need to have a good sort out of clothes too. I know I'm not going to slim down enough to get into some of the clothes I've got, and why on earth have I got stuff in my wardrobe I haven't worn for years! It's crazy, and they're all crammed in so tight the things I do wear get creased! I know I'll be delighted when I've done it, so why do I keep putting it off!!

We have been cleaning the sitting room carpet and the stair carpet today . I did intend having new carpets but will wait till the spring now as they have came up lovely , . Weather is changing now isn't it it became quite chilly around tea time
Good morning all, I hope you are all well.
It turned out to be a lovely warm sunny day yesterday the last of the summer I think. We were able to do a few jobs outside.OH mowed the lawns and I planted out some wallflowers and daffodil bulbs.
Our neighbour from upstairs gave me a lovely bunch of sweet peas from her mothers garden as a thank you for looking after her two cats .It was so thoughtful of her They didn't take a lot of looking after. The hardest part was trying to climb the stairs with a very friendly cat twisting itself around my legs in the mistaken idea that it would hasten my speed to feed him.
Its raining here this morning and a lot cooler so with that in mind I won't be working outside today so I really must get the spare room painted, but that means cleaning down the walls , rearranging the furniture into the middle of the room , covering everything with dust sheets .......Oh heck that sounds like a lot of hard work, perhaps I will go to town instead
