Good morning, Nanto - hold on to your hat today. We seem to have had a lot of rain overnight, but the sun is shining at the moment and it's quite breezy.
Plant - that was why I got OH to go to the doctors - these horrible chesty coughs can quickly deteriorate and it's better safe than sorry. He also came away with a form for a routine blood test which he hasn't had for several years.
I'm meeting up with friends for lunch today, it will be sad and strange without the friend we've lost.
Whatever you're doing, take care in this weather.

If you've noticed the air turn blue its me cursing. 2 out of 4 GC have had a sickness bug. Yesterday I started with sickness & having to run to the loo. This was at 7am. By 7pm OH contacted out of hours for me. Faxed through meds to Asda pharmacy & from then on things have settled down. Being left as weak as a kitten I've not been able to keep my Eye Consultant appointment today.
I'm now back to square one on the waiting list. I could cry."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning all.
Take care all those in the path of Storm Doris. We should be on the edge of it where I live. It's pretty wet and wild this morning.
Oh Nana, am sorry, bad enough to have the horrible bug, without missing your eye appointment as well. It seems very unfair to drop you down to the bottom of the list when you cancel due to illness.
Daisy, I wouldn't be surprised if a tear or two is shed at your lunch. I hope there will be smiles and happy memories of your friend as well, and I'm sure you will all get some comfort from being together.
Opticians for me later, to pick up new prescription sunglasses and reading glasses. Then the usual Thursday with my mum.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Doris is visiting us, not too bad as yet but at least it is sunny.
Nana I am sorry to hear you have a tummy bug, something you could do without right now.
Daisy, it always difficult the first time without a loved one, you feel you shouldn't laugh and enjoy yourselves. Raise your glasses and toast your absent friendWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It's Doris Day, day today and I think I can hear her rattling my letter box .
By jove its windy today.
Good morning ladies.
Oh Nanna there is never a good time to have a tummy bug, but today of all days ! Hope you get over it soon.
OH went for a check up with the nurse today and she is very pleased with him, so perhaps he will relax a little now.
I'm not sure what I am going to do today . I had planned to go visit my dad's grave but its far too windy for that. The road that I have to travel along is currently blocked with a fallen down tree so I will have to go one day next week.
Have a nice Thursday everyone and for those venturing out , take careBring me sunshine in your smile.

Very windy here, so we decided to batten down the hatches and stay in. Although I did pop out into the garden and plant my new hellebore, hope she survives . I can't seem to walk far as my knee is playing up at the moment. Next week we have an assessment at our local gym as part of our Gp referral scheme. My doc recommended more exercise at my Bp check up last week so we shall see.
i hope open your lunch goes well Daisy, always sad when someone is missing but I'm sure you will raise a glass to her and remember happy times.
i hope you feel better soon Nana.Last edited by Enfys; 23-02-2017, 05:51 PM."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Nana sorry to hear you have a bug , our GC are very kind sharing everything with us arnt they 😕😊
Been to Hospital , all good again hoping to take him off the Anti Rejection drugs on Monday , on the way back we called into Lidl and they had a lovely toaster in with long wide slots to take larger slices or 4 small slices for £16.99 so I bought one , now wait for my refund from Aldi and the vouchers as a gift for being given the wrong information and for all the hassle 😊Im not fat just 6ft too small

Nana I' m so sorry you've got the bug. Why couldn't it have waited another day and you could have had your appointment
Daisy I'm sure you felt sad at your lunch but I hope you managed to share a few happy memories.
Oma that's wonderful to hear B is nearly off the anti-rejection drugs. Another milestone passed. How is M doing? I guess you might be having toast for tea.
We braved a short walk in the wind but kept well away from the cliffs though I expect the sea is very angry
