Oma - what a great birthday your MIL has had - love the photobomb, and very good for you to have such a good laugh.

Gem - You've got to listen to you body and rest if you feel tired. Glad you've had an easy undemanding day. My OH managed to watch both the snooker and the F1!!

We spent the morning beavering away on the allotment - planted onions and broad beans and prepared several beds for other crops. It's very dry for the time of year, so spent quite a long time wielding the watering can. This afternoon I did some pruning the the garden and mowed the lawn - much better than the snooker and F1!! But really shattered now. We were lucky with a dry and mostly sunny day.

Aggie - the house has grown overnight! It's looking very good - are you pleased with it?

        Good morning Nanto and everyone.

I think it's going to be a damp day for most of us, although it sounds as though us south coasters will get the driest weather. I think I need to do some stuff around the house today. We're still in a state of upheavel waiting for the plasterers - hopefully some time this week, but I'm not holding my breath. But the dust is now too thick to want to write your name in it! Ughhhh!

Whatever you're doing, I hope you all have a lovely day - and not too many choccie eggs.

            Good morning everyone.
I hope the bistro is nice Oma.
A new independent coffee shop opened in our village when we were on holiday in March (that makes 3, as well as the petitioned-against Costa which most of us don't go into!) I have heard good things about the new one, so we will try it sometime soon.

This afternoon DD2, SIL and GD are going to see the new Beauty and The Beast film, dropping GS1 off with us first. Now he is a fast crawler, we will be on high alert when he is here, apart from when he naps

Enjoy your day, whatever you do.

Well the Bistro was a huge hit , a very small place only 6 booth,s so advisable to book as we did but it was far from cramped , Tea served in China cups and China tea pot , coffee in lovely sized mugs ,
They will make anything you want so friends had Eggy bread with bacon and maple syrup and poached duck egg on toast , B &Myself opted for the breakfast bap a huge bread roll filled with bacon , sausage & a runny egg , not easy to eat a bit messy with the yolk but superb , then they came and topped up the tea pot and coffee cups and brought little short bread biscuits with it and for all that for 4 of us it came to £21.50 now you can't complain for that can you , we will be back maybe for high tea next time 😀

Glad everyone is enjoying their Easter.

I'm feeling sad as I've just waved the family off after a lovely weekend together.Lots of walks on different beaches .The weather didn't let us down which made all the difference. Not going to see them now until June. I do miss them and their little dog. The dog had her first run on a beach and got thoroughly wet and sandy.

Dear Clover, it's natural to feel sad and a bit empty when they have gone. I used to feel like that when DD1 lived in Scotland. And there were no GC or cute dog to miss! I hope you feel less sad soon, and can start looking forward to June.

Baby took ages to go down for his nap this afternoon. He was really tired, but not having it! He is asleep now. They are coming for him at 5 or just before. They are going out for tea, with GD and 2 of her friends, so a baby who hadn't slept at all wouldn't have been as asset

Clover, only natural to feel sad about them going, but keep thinking about June, when you see them again.
                          Something to look forward to.
