Morning and welcome 2017, I fully intend to take part in dry January partly due to having an horrendous hangover, and partly because my liver could do with a break. I'm not into NYR as they always end up being broken, but at 64 its time to take better care of me. Watch this space.

Good morning everyone. We had a lovely evening with good friends and got to bed about 2.30 am. We ate too much, of course, but at least I haven't got a hangover. OH is still in bed, but he can sleep for England no matter what time he goes.
We've got quite a bit of tidying up to do, and I feel like Libra Gran - I need to get rid of clutter. Yep, decorations can come down today - I hate letting that job drag on until 12th night!
I hope everyone is having a restful day.
My computer has started the New Year on a go slow! Our internet connection seems to get worse, and even one post on hear is taking several minutes to send!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good for you going out and being looked after Oma
No hangover here either Daisy.
We have cleared up and washed all the glasses - the rest went in the dishwasher. I wondered about taking our decs down before 12th night, as I imagine I will only be able to have a supervisory role. OH says she is fine with that though, so they will stay up.
Mum eating with us tonight. Lamb chops, baked potatoes and veg, followed by trifle. We didn't have trifle over Christmas, then got the bug so didn't eat much of anything! Must have my seasonal trifle fix“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Well he was in bed around 9am last night, I watched some stuff on catch up and went to bed about 1.30. He got up at 3.15 and went to work. He called me about 1.15pm to say that his late has gone for tomorrow YIPPEE Nd he is now a 5.30am which meant no fizz with dinner tonight but we agreed on the phone to have lunchtime fizz instead. I rarely eat until dinner time so at lunchtime had a piece of toast, thought fizz on an empty stomach wouldn't be the greatest idea. In the end we had fizz about 3.30 as he got home soaked to the skin and very tired. We then had our duck meal and he had a whiskey and coke and I had some wine. I am on a gin and tonic and he on his second whiskey. He will shortly say to me "I know it's early but ......." And trot off to bed. That is OK. I will have him home tomorrow afternoon which is a gift.
No hang overs here, no dry January either 😇😇

Good morning everyone!
You are all keen around here to be rid of your Christmas decorations!
Nothing much planned today. I have some bras to collect from M&S so will probably do that. OH is going to help a friend rehang a door this morning!
I haven't seen DD1 and GS since before Christmas as they didn't come on Boxing Day due to SIL being sick, then we were poorly, then they were with friends over New Year. If they are free today we may meet up“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
