Daisy, they just said the sore throat could last 24 hours, so I'm hoping it will be gone by this evening.
Very cold outside here too, but I'm not going anywhere!

Mimi, there are so many damned persistant bugs around just now. Another lady and I were saying yesterday that we were lucky to be able to have our operations, as we had both had so many coughs and colds in recent weeks.

Daisy, I have a similar problem with arranging lunches with friends! I only really have Wednesday, and some Tuesdays, and of course friends don't always conveniently have the same days free.

Very cold and frosty here, hopefully it might kill off some of those bugs.

I hope the sore throat doesn't last too long, Gem, have a restful, day.

We have just been for our morning walk through the park and across the common and back. Lots of people out with their dogs and lovely in the sunshine. We are out to lunch soon so a pleasant day for us.

Drive to Hospital went well not as busy as we expected , first time hubby has driven himself there for nearly 2 month , we did get a scare on way home coming around a big roundabout and hit a mixture of black ice and spilt Diesel spun the car around , luckily no cars behind us and we were going slow bit of a hairy moment , the wheels just slid and just had to go with it .
Spoke to Dr about the letter we got , they said we're surprised nothing was mentioned when they got results , apologised but said maybe one Dr assumed another Dr had told us , that's the trouble you see so many different Dr,s in Hospital .
So many poorly people at the minute all these bugs and I know once you get this cough it takes a long time to go Mimi , hope your scan can go ahead the last thing you need is having to wait for another appointment.

Good to hear that B is back behind the wheel again but what a day to choose to do it. Hope you both got over the scare.
I went out for a walk today, first time in a while, didn't go far as I ended up coughing like some old woman who smokes 40 a day... me who has never smoked in my life !
Can't understand the justice of this 'bug' malarkey, there is me, non smoker, fit (sort of) who hasn't had a cold in about 8 years is feeling so rough.
On the other hand OH who used smoke, takes lots of pills since his heart attack has just got an annoying snuffle ..... agggghhhh
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma goodness that skid must have been scary So lucky no one was behind you.
As regards not telling you about B'infection if they assumed you had been told why send you a letter at all?

Mimi you must be so tired of that cough,I really sympathise.

Daisy I hope you enjoyed meeting your friends.I'm sure you did.

Brian has a gold badge for Advanced driving with the Police , he was supposed to train Police drivers before the Cancer put a stop to it so he reacted how he was trained , but it's still a heart stopping moment , less experienced drivers I would imagine would panic , I know I probably would .
Mimi it was very cold today the air was very crisp , I bet that didn't help with your cough xx

                    Good morning, ladies!

As you can see, we're missing Nanto who is on holiday, so we're a little late brewing the tea this morning!

Oma - that was a scary thing to happen - thank goodness your B is such a good driver.

Enfys - what a lovely walk. I was basking in the sunshine at Barton Golf Club yesterday - from inside the club house, but the sun was glorious and it's such a fabulous view over the Solent. From inside it felt like summer. I really didn't need a polo neck jumper and a thick fluffy top!

                        Good morning everyone.

I'm very well thank you Oma. I have been to the breast clinic to have my dressing looked it. It is fine so I haven't had it changed. She said I looked very well for someone who had an operation 2 days ago!
We are having out trees cut back a bit today a well overdue job.
OH is taking the decs down today and bringing my mum over this afternoon. I will be taking the small hallways tree down. Don't all shout at me. It is a small artificial one. I will ask OH to bring it into the living room then I can take all the decorations off it from a sitting position!

Poor Brian I hope it all goes as smoothly as it can Oma. He left me a PM on Facebook on my op morning, bless him!

Daisy yes we are missing Nan2s early morning posts and lovely graphics

                          Morning all.

Oma , hope Brian's procedure goes well. It sounds as if it might be a tad uncomfortable ! Send him my best wishes.

Not the weather for a stroll here today Enfys, its raining very hard and its very cold out.

Oh , roll on when these are out in bloom
Thankfully this year my bulbs are only just starting to peek above the ground , unlike Christmas 2015 when they were in full bloom on Christmas Day and they had died back by spring 2106 . Hopefully I shall have a garden full of spring flowers at the right time of year this time

Gem - you just knew we'd nag you, didn't you! I'm so glad you didn't have to have the dressing changed at this stage - and good to hear you're top of the recovery class! But beware - we will still nag if we think you're overdoing things. You will be able to sit and admire the newly trimmed trees xx

Oma - Poor B, that sounds a tad uncomfortable. But as you say, it's all for the good and one less thing to be worrying about. xx

Mimi - yes, indeed, let's have spring in spring time this year. Those daffs look so cheerful - many thanks. The magnolia stellata I planted in our new front garden is looking promising. Lots of flower buds emerging. I think it's a lovely species of magnolia, so dainty and withstands the odd gale much better than the more showy ones. Fingers crossed here.

We walked Eva just before lunch and it was bitterly cold, grey and overcast. Now it's trying to rain, but hasn't got any warmer. Brrrrrr......
