Oma, Who prepares all those meals? I presume it is B as it is his mother.

Friend came with loads and I mean loads of redcurrants to the board games. Most people not keen so I finished up with a small plastic bucket full and an ice cream container. I prepared them yesterday evening and strained them overnight and now the juice is in my jam pan waiting for the sugar. I am going to spend the day with GD and H, not sure what we will do. Sunshine atm, not sure what the weather forecast is.

Nanto, Just go with the flow today. Love a jacket potato.

Gemini, Enjoy your day with the little one, I am sure he will enjoy his day with you.

      Good Thursday morning everyone.

What is this thing "sunshine" you are all talking about? It's overcast and chilly here. I'll be getting my winter woolies out at this rate.

Nanto, another vote for jacket potatoes here! It will be lovely to have a tidy garage.

Gem, have a lovely day with GS3. I'm sure he's getting quite heavy now, so any way you can avoid carrying him up and down stairs is better for your poor knee. Glad to hear the bone density scan is 'routine', but still hope you don't need any treatment. Enjoy the Barbie movie. I love the song "What was I made for" by Billie Eilish.

Oma, I hope MIL is in a good mood. She should be with all those delicious meals. Do you take tablets for headaches? I had no idea Shiitake mushrooms were good for dogs - mind you Eva scorns all fruit and vegetables, apart from an bit of carrot occasionally and randomly. I think to get her to have mushrooms we'd have to give them intravenously!

Plant, you will have a lovely lot of redcurrent jelly! Enjoy your day with GD and H - hopefully the weather will stay dry for you.

I'm going out for lunch with my College friends today, but need to leave lunch for OH who has a couple of mates coming round. It will have to be just a Ploughman's or similar.

B does all the cooking so he makes all MILs meals
Enjoy your day with H and GD ,
        All that lovely jam yummy.

        Daisy
Apparently all Japanese mushrooms are good for dogs , not so much button or chestnut ones
Storm is like Eva would have to give it intravenously, keep saying it’s good for him but he looks at you as much to say well you eat them then cos I’m not 😁

MIL was ok but we didn’t stop long B taking GS to Airport , he’s off for a weeks lads holiday about 15 of them ,
Roll on next week when he’s on his way home again , we can all relax then 😁

Oma, has your headache gone? If I wake with one it's usually from my neck and the position I have been lying in.

I hope you enjoy your lunch with your friends Daisy.

Lots of redcurrant jam for you then Plant!

SS, who is OH's golf friend and my aqua friend called in to drop something off this morning. She stayed for coffee, met the baby and carried him up to his cot for me He is so good, he has never met her before but happily went from my arms to hers for her to carry him.
I'm all set up in the spare room upstairs for when he wakes. I don't know what he will make of lunching and playing upstairs in a 'new' room!

Hallo, I have just had GD1 for a few hours, she had been working at the Lidl, phoned to ask if she could call in for lunch, got soaked on her way here! We did manage to walk to the shops and keep dry though, GD with my clothes on! She is liking it at the Lidl, said there are some awkward customers, I told her there are awkward people!! She has just left on her bike so I hope she misses the next shower.

My headache lasted all morning but it’s ok now thank you.
What did baby think of the new room to play in 😁

              Lizzie
Hope your GD didn’t get wet again
her eyes will be opened with some customers I bet 😁

I posted that by mistake, I hadn't finished it!

Oma, you will worry about your GS being away, the thing is, we have to let them get on with their own lives. It isn't easy though!!!

Gem, I hope you both enjoyed the new playroom.

I don't think GD got wet again, at least, it has been dry here since she left. Yes, she said some customers were friendly but others, oh dear! It is her second morning on the cash desk so naturally she won't be as fast as some of the others. She will get used to it.

Oma, he liked the room because although he has a lot less room to crawl about than he does downstairs, there is a full length mirror which he LOVED! I think he was happy when he realised that we were going downstairs after his second nap though

Lizzie, you would think people would be patient with young assistants as they could be new to the job. I'm sure she will soon be as fast as anyone else!.

Redcurrant jelly made, took two days. We have had quite a pleasant day here, went to new playground with GD and H, had lunch in a garden centre nearby. H came home very proudly with a football, she wouldn’t part with it, kept it on her lap in the car seat. Feeling very tired now, perhaps a G&T will revive me. Must go and pot that jelly.

Sounds like its been a bit of a busy day for most of you.

I think it was Daisy a few days ago,whe mentioned the saying,no rest for the wicked.
Well i must be evil. Did all my jobs inside, then helped hubby in the garage.
It has been cleaned top to bottom, side to side and back to front.
Took all day. Don't know how long it will stay like it.

Oma, what an amazing likeness! I hope young J has a fantastic holiday, without any mishaps! I'm sure you will all worry until they are safely home again, but at that age they just want to have fun, don't they.

Plant, I hope you had the G&T to relax and left the potting of the jam to another day. I remember both my GDs enjoying footballs at little H's age, and it lasted for several years.

Nanto, haha! It feels like no rest for the wicked sometimes, doesn't it. How fantastic to have a tidy garage though. Ours will take days and days to sort out and will still be full of 'stuff'!

Gem, I can just imagine your GS3's delight in seeing himself in the mirror. It won't be long before he is going up and down stairs on his own! When both my DSs were at the crawling stage we had stairs that went off the living room, (2 different houses, but same problem - nowhere to fix a stairgate) so we taught them to crawl down backwards. They both got the hang of it very quickly and never had any problems.

Lizzie, I hope your GD doesn't get a lot of miserable, grumpy customers. Politeness and a smile cost nothing, do they!

I had a lovely day out with lunch at the Golf Club with friends. There were only 4 of us today, but one of them has just retired from College so will be coming more often now. It was lovely to see her. Then I went into town and did a bit of shopping, and went for a chat with DIL2. Went on to collect Eva and got back just in time to take OH to the garage to collect his car which had been in for some small job or other.

All being well we're going to DS1's tomorrow - probably just for the day, but may stay overnight.

We loved the Barbie film! I love going out with DD3, it takes me back when it was just her and me a lot of the time

                            Night all xx

Looking a bit overcast this morning.
Yesterday evening we had heavy rain with a few rumbles of thunder.

Daisy, glad you enjoyed your lunch out.
Our garage is still full of stuff, it just looks tidier and cleaner.

Gem, pleased you enjoyed the film.

Hubby out for a couple of hours, so I'll clean upstairs.

Dinner is baby potatoes, cod in breadcrumbs, veggies and parsley sauce.

It's gone very dark now, I bet we are in for some rain.
