I hope there’s nothing broken , GS must have got a fright also .

        Lizzie
Poor GD , getting looked after by Granny always makes you feel better ,
When GS who is almost 19 doesn’t feel well he always comes to us for Nanas pampering 😁
Has she managed to keep the milk and fruit down , it sounds like her blood sugar had dropped not having anything to eat .

        Plant
We had looked at all the furniture shops online before we went to see the suite in the shop so we knew more or less what we wanted .
Just as well you remembered about the eggs xx

BIL is being allowed home in the morning , the infection is under control now and they are happy how he has responded to treatment .

Nanto - that's what I have - just a trim! I hope it's fine at the week-end for the lawn.

Lizzie, veggies are late here as well. But the weather's been miserable so only to be expected. Poor GD1. You mentioned she had tummy pains with her period, but do you think this is more of a bug? I hope she's ok after a good sleep. I bet the crocheted throw is a work of art.

Oma, no chance of us getting all Eva's hairs up - every time she moves there's a cloud of fur round her! Nine weeks isn't too bad. I'm sure your sister will be pleased to have your BIL home.

Gem, I've drooled all over the keyboard at those fat rascals! I've had to drag myself away. Oh, your poor DD1. She really didn't need an accident as well as everything else. I do hope she's home and resting now. So much for your 'lazy' day! At least S was only held up at golf. You can end up worrying about all sorts of things sometimes, can't you. xx

Plant, those eggs will definitely be hard-boiled! Good job your SIL was able to go and rescue them.

My domestic day didn't go according to plan. No surprise there, is there! I spent quite a lot of time on the phone with one thing and another - including answering OH's mobile because he keeps leaving it in the hall but was working in the garage! A friend was helping with something this afternoon, and between them carrying on until nearly 7 pm and then OH wanting to get the trailer hitched up to the car for a tip run first thing tomorrow he didn't come in for dinner until gone 9 pm.

I'm jut going to post a letter, then bed! Tomorrow's another day.

DD was sent home after being checked over. She got in around 9.
Breathlessness was just down to winding herself, and she is stiff and sore with bruised ribs and will be worse tomorrow but at least it was nothing serious. She was thankful she hadn't yet changed into her swimsuit, the embarrassment would have been worse! GS was very grown up and calm and phoned and asked me to come and collect them from the pool because mummy had fallen. In fact then someone from the pool drove them to the hospital and I later picked up GS from there. It shows he can cope in a crisis.

Her car is still down the road from the pool. I was going to take them to it in the morning before school but OH has just kindly offered to do it 😊

Gem,glad DD wasn't hurt more than she was.

Lizzie, hope GD is feeling better.

DS1 is off today, so hubby is out with him for a couple of hours.
DS1 is coming for dinner. I'm doing a full English and there is no way son will pass up that meal.

              Raining a little bit here.

Plant, your eggs would have certainly been done.

                Good morning all.
A wet and dismal one here.

I don't blame your son coming round for that meal Nan2!

OH is driving DD and GS1 to their car this morning, as I said last night, so I can have a lie in.
Packing for our weekend away today, no other plans so far.

Gemini, I expect your DD will feel a bit bruised today. GS1 coped very well. You are not getting much rest.

Daisy, I thought you were being optimistic in your plans.

Nanto, love the graphic, where do you find them? I bet DS1 enjoyed his meal with you. Nothing like mums cooking.

Lizzie, I missed the post about your GD being poorly, I hope she is feeling better now.

Lady gardener coming back this morning to finish some edging, I would like to go food shopping before I go to N.T meeting and talk this afternoon. H will be here today, I am hoping to see her, perhaps I will leave the shopping until tomorrow.

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's dull, damp and chilly here. I only hope the sun is taking a break so Gem and S can have a warm, blue sky week-end away.

Plant, I'm always optimistic about how much I can get done in a given time, but I did spend a lot of time on the phone - all incoming calls! I'm sure you'd rather spend some time with H, who always sounds such delightful company, than trudge round the supermarket. Enjoy your NT meeting and talk. What is the talk about? Are you pleased with what your lady gardener is doing. Don't gardens look better when the edges are neat!

Gem, that was good of S to take DD1 and GS1 to their car. But after yesterday's drama you need to rest. What a sensible and responsible boy GS1 is, you and her Mum must be very proud of him. I do hope DD can get some rest today - she must be feeling very sore and exhausted as well. Shock really takes it out of you. Do you like packing? I always agonise over what to take!

Nanto, thank you for the lovely cheery graphic. We need sunny smiles and happy thoughts to cheer us up with this never-ending cold Spring. Mums always make the best full English and apple pies, don't they. I bet your DS1 can't wait!

My day is going its usual way - haywire! I changed the Sainsbury delivery to tomorrow morning, because OH had a tip run booked for 9 am, plus it's bins day and of friend of his had arranged to come over at 10. Well, that's sorted things out nicely - I thought! Ten to ten the house phone and the doorbell rang at exactly the same time. OH's friend at the door, DS1 on the phone. Eva super excited. It was a bit chaotic because the visitor has the same name as DS, so I was trying to offer visitor a coffee, talk to DS and calm down Eva! I'll write about the reason for the visit elsewhere! I've just had a welcome coffee and a doughnut from our village bakery.

Daisy the forecast isn't brilliant when we are away but we will just have to make the most of it! It's better the following weekend but we have GS2 that weekend. I'm not that keen on packing either!

                      All busy at your house

Do your leg and foot feel OK now Plant?

Its so wet and cold here no sign of it lifting either.

We popped to our little Morrisons local this morning for a few bits then went to Sofology to order the Three piece suite
should get it by middle of July so not long to wait .

B was going to clean the carpet this afternoon but we have Storm tomorrow while DD & co, go to Leeds to view property for GS so will leave it till Sunday .

Hallo everyone, how busy you all are this morning! As you put it Daisy, hectic. GD1 is improving thanks, I had the receptionist from the surgery on the phone and there is a nasty bug doing the rounds, 2 to 3 days, that sounds like it, she is getting dressed at the moment, not eating or drinking as yet, when I told DS1 that he stated that she must be ill!!! She sips now and again, that is what the receptionist said to do, drinking from a spoon. Managed to eat a dry cracker so she is on the way to recovery.

It is wet and cold here as well Oma, luckily for all the celebrations it was a lovely day yesterday, yes, the Dutch love hanging their flags out!!

                          Gem, enjoy the weekend away.xx

Gem, just in case I don't get on here early enough tomorrow - have a great week-end and a safe journey. Don't forget your hot water bottle

Lizzie, poor GD, but it's good to hear she's taking a little fluid and food to keep her strength up.

Nanto, I bet you didn't have any leftovers from your full English!

I got the lawn cut this afternoon, and took Eva out for a decent walk this evening. Tomorrow we're going up to stay with DS1 and DIL until Sunday evening. OH is going to give DS a hand with something in the garden. DIL is meeting up with a friend Saturday afternoon and they're having a spa evening and overnight - back sometimes on Sunday. It's good for both of them to have a little break sometimes, and we hope the weather will be dry enough to work in the garden.
