Everyone seems to have a had a busy day, despite the dreary weather. We had a bit of sun this afternoon, but being indoors I didn't get a chance to get my bikini on and make the most of it!

The art course was good - seascapes! But I've never done 6 hours painting in one go before and my feet are aching, shoulders are stiff and my hand hurts from holding brushes. It was good to learn some new techniques, and also good to realise that some techniques I already use actually work better for me! I'll post a photo when I get a minute. It was also good to spend a day with DIL2 because we rarely get to spend any time together. I'm so glad I made a casserole for tonight so I don't have to do much cooking!

Missy arrived this afternoon, and is currently asleep on my feet!

I'll try and catch up with everyone after dinner, but I may just need an early night!

Giggling Squid is a good name!
Nan2 I'm glad your BP was fine.
Good news that your hand is healing Plant .
I hope you master the new phone Oma!
6 hours, no wonder you are aching Daisy! It sounds a good day though.

We have a completion date for Wednesday!
I will believe it when mum has the money in her account, after all that has gone on.
I'll update a bit more tomorrow on that thread .

          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, my favourite flowers. I love to see them all shooting up at this time of year.

          A fine day here.
I think we are going bra shopping for OH today at some point. Out to the local Indian again with two friends tonight. We have gone from being people who never do anything on Saturday nights to having almost every one booked up!

          Happy Saturday ladies.

here coGood morning, Sunny but there has been a keen frost. I went to the new Lidl at 7am as they have stretch jeans on offer, they only had few pair in so I got one pair then went to this Lidl at 8am for the second pair, it was very cold on the bike at 7am. I like the jeans with stretch when I am on the bike.

So many lovely spring flowers out here along the roads etc, seems spring is on the way!

You will enjoy your Saturday nights out Gem, what were your bra's like from Miss Mary?

Oma, there are a few organisations here collecting food etc as well as the bedding, clothes etc, the Red Cross say to donate money but from what I read these are all for refugee camps that are already there. How are you getting on with your new phone? GD2 got a new one for her birthday, she kindly told me that mine was an old model! I like my old model, it does what I want it to do. To be honest I inherit mine from DS1 and family.

I have some washing to hang out, I haven't dared to wash a few days as my washer wasn't get enough water but with the new tap I can catch up on myself.

Good Saturday morning one and all. The sun is shining here!

Gem - I've crossed everything I possibly can for completion on Wednesday. I know you'll be happy once it's over and done with, but it's looking more positive now. xxx Enjoy your meal out tonight, you social butterfly, you!! It is nice to be out and about again.

Plant - so pleased your hand is getting better.

Oma - how's the new phone going?

Lizzie - when you find good jeans you want more than one pair - I do, anyway.

Nanto - thank you for the cheery daffs. Pleased your BP was normal. After all the sadness and stresses you've had recently, you've done very well to keep it down. x

We have friends coming for coffee this morning and to show us their new motorhome. I need to take Missy out for a walk, although she's asleep on my feet at the moment. She's used to two long walks a day!

My fingers and toes crossed too Gemini for that completion to take place. Have you got the bottle of bubbly on ice?

Gemini, have a lovely evening with your friends. How do you keep your weight down with all the meals out?

Daisy, you will have lots of exercise looking after Missy, Will you walk Eva and Missy together?

Nanto, lovely cheerful daffy, I have some on my dining table.

This time 60 years ago I was recovering from a difficult home birth, the doctor and midwife had gone home and I was marvelling at the fact that I had a daughter in the carry cot next to me, she was the only granddaughter for my parents in 13 GC. My DS was only 15 months. I was expected to stay in bed for 10 days! It was snow and ice outside. Going in to see her soon to wish her a happy birthday.

Its a lovely crisp day here .

Gem I can’t believe you finally have a date , we will all hold our breath 😁

Have a lovely night out ,
Is S able to have underwire Bras with her re-construction ? Or does she need wireless for comfort .

Lizzie , I am the same if I find something I like I will buy two or three of the same ,
At the moment I have 9 pair of black trousers of the same make , Slimma short , no taking up no digging in at the waist I love them ,
So when they were on sale I bought several pairs then went back for more 😁

Nanto a quiet day for you then

Plant hope your DD has a lovely day , isn’t it nice when all our memories of their birth good or bad come back ,
I always think how my Valentine’s Day was very traumatic when my DS was born , but once he arrived it didn’t matter .
Like your DD being the only girl my DS was the first boy for 16 years they had all been girls born 😁

Daisy how are you feeling today are you stiff ?
Im sure you will need to put your feet up after taking the dogs out , hopefully your visitors don’t stay too long ,

Im getting the hang of the new phone , to be honest it’s the same as my old one but more features and most of them I won’t use

All the cleaning done , was only downstairs to do today , paintworks washed hoovered etc , cleaned tiles behind sink and in utility ,
                        it wasn’t dirty anyway ,
Then popped to Morrisons having stir fry tonight so needed a few bits and Pomegranate juice ,

Had to hobble around , got up to go to loo during night and kicked the wheel on end of bed and I think my little toe is broken ,
Putting even my Sketchers on that are so soft is agony ,
No point going anywhere they only strap two toes together I can do that myself , not the first time I have broke it 😱

We have been looking for a plug off my old phone for two days , had every drawer out looked in every place we could think of ,
Even looked in the cases in the loft ,
No where to be found ,
Came home from shops opened a drawer that we cleaned out and looked in at least 3 times and B said look at this ,
There it was in plain sight

Im sure we have mischievous spooks messing with us 😂😂😂
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, OH wears those pull on bras with no fastening. Having had no pregnancies she has firmer boobs than most of us here She has a couple of normal non wired bars but rarely wears those as they irritate the scar on her back where they removed the muscle for her reconstruction .

                          Your poor toe

Oma, that is what I often do, if they fit, buy a supply! Daisy, especially with jeans, if they are a good fit it is worth buying a second pair.

Oma, I often search high and low for something, I had a tin of paint, could I h### as find it, I looked up here, in the shed, even tidied the paint crate out in the garage, nothing, I was busy with the pots out on the balcony and decided no way would that pot be empty, down I go into the garage, believe this, I had held it a few times whilst looking for it!

I have been for my eggs, toes a bit cold but a lovely ride.

DS1 and family enjoying Amsterdam. They have been on a swing or whatever above the river.

I remember that swing Lizzie when we went to Amsterdam for OH's 70th a few years back. We didn't go on it, but the view from the building was fantastic. I managed to have a whole conversation with one of the employees who thought I was Dutch! Quite chuffed about it I was!

Guess what, it's still raining! I'm having a break from the paper today and going with the cleaning of Venetian blind and windows. Hopefully I won't need to do them again before I move.

Got car back after its service yesterday, no huge extras to pay for. I paid as quickly as I could before they changed their mind!

Have a good day ladies! All those celebrating/eating out etc enjoy yourselves. xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
