Plant, I do like cleaning cars, when I first met DH(2) a neighbour said that he would be handy then I wouldn't have to clean my own car, I told him I love cleaning my car! When I part exchanged my old car against this one the salesman said he had never seen a car from that year looking so good!

That is the kind of remark hubby would say about me.

Good Afternoon ladies,Sorry to have been missing for a few days I've been laid up in my bed with this stupid sciatica it came on with a vengeance on Saturday I'm just about hobbling about today.

The weather has not been as bad I expected it to be except for down near the Promenade where if any of you get NW Tonight news you would have seen 3 x totally stupid guys doing wild swimming just off the Prom it involved the Life Boat Crew having to go out and get them out .

I' ve read through all the posts and caught up with everyone news you are all having busy weeks.

Will close now and talk in a day or two depends on the old back. xxx glamma

Daisy, a change of scene will do your GD good.

Oh Glamma. I do sympathise. I get sciatica from time to time. I hope it eases soon.

We loved the film! I think I smiled for the whole 2, hours, apart from a couple of moments which brought a tear to the eye!
No tables at Prezzo so we settled for toasties at Costa instead.
H isn't coming this afternoon as her area is flooded, road impassable at the moment
No golf again for OH as the course still waterlogged. Some ladies met up for coffee and chat instead.

I will update about the solicitor fiasco later.

Gem - glad you enjoyed the film. I hope the toasties were good. OH must miss her golf when the weather's like this.

Nanto - good luck with the viewings tomorrow.

Glamm - I'm sorry to hear your sciatica has flared up again. Take it easy, bit by bit. I can't imagine why any one would want to wild swim in those conditions. Aren't there really strong currents off the Prom?

Lizzie - I do wish you lived next door to us. I could offer you a really dirty, muddy car!

It was lovely having the GDs today. GD1 coped well, although we didn't do much. I think she was pleased to have a change of scene. When she got home there was a little parcel for her - a friend from school sent her a Toblerone with her name printed on the box, and a nice letter saying how much she and her other friends were missing her. She was so pleased.

Gem - thank you. I hope so too. It's been a long time for a little girl to be poorly.

That was lovely of GD1 friend to leave her a little present.
I do hope GD starts to feel better soon.

                        Good morning everyone.

Nan2 I hope the washing dries. I hope there is a potential buyer amongst todays viewers!

It's dry and sunny here, and the golf course is open OH tells me. It will be a while before the floods in York recede however.

A fairly full day today (and day '0ff' tomorrow )
Aqua this morning, and we may stay for a coffee.
I am going to see my mum this afternoon. There is meeting for families there at 6pm. I will have a couple of hours to while away in between, but doing it this way means only one lot of petrol as opposed to seeing Mum tomorrow as I usually do. I may go to DD2's, but they will probably still be out as it's half term. She can leave me a key. If it was warm I would be happy to have little walk then read in the car. Too chilly for that at this time of year really! I will have the hated drive back in the dark, but it can't be helped.

                        I hope all are well

I chose cheese and tomato, the same as GS.
I hope the hospital appointments go smoothly.

Oma, very convenient B and his mother have appts at the same hospital.

Busy day for you Gemini, I hope your mother is feeling happy. Have I missed a post about the house sale?

Not much happening today, baby H will be next door so I will go in and see her. Being my right hand in dressing, I am finding it difficult to do many jobs.

Good morning everyone. We've had frost overnight, but it's dry and warming up now.

Plant - It's frustrating when you can't get on with jobs, but they will wait. It's important to look after yourself and your hand.

Gem - it's certainly a busy day for you. I hope everything goes to plan. I'm sure S is pleased the golf course is open again. Take care with that drive back in the dark. Hopefully you will have missed most of the rush hour traffic.

Oma - I hope both B's and MIL's appointments go well. How very well-organised having them together. Enjoy your day with Storm.

Glamm - I agree - those idiots who put the rescue services lives on the line through their stupidity should be prosecuted - or made to pay for the cost of the rescue operation.

Dog training for me (and Eva!) this afternoon. I need to get a few jobs done round the house this morning.
