Oma, i often buy Carte D'or ice cream at Farm Foods and the magnums.
Carte D'or is our favourite ice cream.

Plant, your night out sounds wonderful.
Hope they put you a smaller dressing on at the hospital.

Wind has dropped now and we have sunshine.

Daisy, hope you got the trees planted.

Plant - what a wonderful evening you had - all the family together and a magical venue. I hope the hospital trip goes well and they are pleased with how your hand is healing. Take care in the high winds.

Oma - we like Carte d'Or ice cream as well! That sounds like a bargain.

Gem - I hope DG and DS2 are enjoying their half term. Have a lovely time tonight.

Nanto - we've got the sunshine as well, but it's still blowing a hoolie!

We got the apple trees planted. It was lovely in the sunshine but we had to be careful where we put things as they kept blowing around. It's dropped a little bit now, so I'll take Eva out for a walk.

Quite quick at hospital, the dressing is much smaller. I was a bit alarmed at the wound, the edges were fine the stitches had dissolved but the site of the original growth was raw and weepy. The specialist didn’t put any stitches in that part. Seeing our surgery nurse next Monday. And the surgeon is 6/8 weeks.

Pleased the apple trees are now in their space Daisy. It has been quite windy here but it has settled now.

I am going to venture out in the car tomorrow. Just down the hill to M&S.

Well done on getting the apple trees planted Daisy despite the weather,

Plant, I think wounds can look alarming to us. Hopefully it is all healing as expected. When I had my breast surgery I read up a bit on wound healing. Some protein at every meal was advised and I followed that for a long time. Even if it just yogurt, or some peanut butter on a cracker, there are so many ways to get protein as well as cheese, meat, fish eggs etc. I don't know why I am telling you this, I'm sure you know already! I just wanted to say that I felt having some protein at each meal aided healing.
I'm glad you had such a lovely night out

We had a nice afternoon with the GC. They had lunch and tea here and DD collected them around 5.45. As usual GS didn't want to go and kicked up a fuss. Apart from that it was good afternoon!!

I am going out in half an hour or so to meet my friends. The rain has stopped again and the wind dropped. It's not far from the car park to the restaurant anyway, it has its own car park behind.
The river in York is very high and hasn't reached its highest point yet.

Gem - I do hope the river didn't flood. Did you have a nice evening?

Plant - it sounds as though your hand is healing up well. How was the journey? When I had that solar keratosis it felt like a crater where it had been removed. The doctor said to put Vaseline on the weepy bit twice a day - this was after there was no dressing on it. Sleep well and take it easy tomorrow. xx

My neck healed fairly well after my op 18 month ago but was lumpy and red for a while ,
I used Bio Gel and already it’s just a fine line , although you can’t use it on open wounds once it heals it’s brilliant at making it look better .

Early days yet Plant just watch you don’t knock your hand anywhere xx

Good (early) morning, I hope the wound soon heals Plant.

Gem, I hope you enjoyed the meal.

Daisy, you and DH are getting some work done in the garden, it was very windy again here yesterday but I must say it was dry most of the day. I went to aqua with the lady from the first floor, she is an immigrant from Iran, she has been here in the Netherlands 27 years and lived here about a year. She just loves aqua! It was wet belt for us yesterday, the last time before a holiday, it was the first time she had done it and she was so enthusiastic, she really got into it.

I went to the physio last night, my balance problem is solved, only I have had pressure in my head a few days, it frightened me at times, I was telling him and he explained it is all from the neck so he did his work on my neck, I have exercises to do at home then go again next week, in fact it comes down to the fact that I am never relaxed! I will have to try and relax more.

Still a bit blowy, but its dry and bright. Although i think some rain is forecast.

Gem, saw it on the news earlier about York and the river.
Hope you enjoyed your meal last night.

Yes Lizzie, relax more. Easier said than done i know.

Plant take care withyour hand. Pleased they put smaller dressing on.

Daisy, well done with all the gardening.

                    Good morning dear ladies.

Our floods are generally pretty famous Nan2

                    Listen to the physio Lizzie!!

We had a very nice night last night, and although annoyingly several things were not available from the menu, the food we had was good!
No library for me today as it is GS1 day. I am picking him up at 9.30 to go to the cinema to see Sing 2. Then lunch out, probably the Prezzo near there as there are plenty of veggie choices and he loves pizza and pasta.
He will want some of his beloved screen time before we go to his martial arts class at 4.45. Our friend H is coming round this afternoon to pay me for a ticket and have a cuppa. She is interested meet GS1, who she hasn't seen since our wedding when he was 2. She knows my other GC well as they have been to her art workshops with me . GS1 is not an arty type!

So, a full day. It's lucky I like to be busy!
I hope to hear something from the solicitor today. He was on holiday last week and I emailed twice yesterday.

                    Have a good day everyone.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. It's dull here, but dry and calm - I'll take that for today!

I'm going to collect both GDs and Cooper in a while. GD1 is still very weak, but we thought a change of scene for a few hours would do her good. I'll give them lunch and then take them back - she'll be very tired by then. It will also give DS1 a break as he's been doing the child care.

Gem - enjoy your busy day. You never know GS1 may develop an interest in art or something like design and technical-type drawing. I do hope you hear from the solicitor today.

Lizzie - you are a very busy lady, but it sounds as though the physio you are having is making a big difference.

Nanto - thank you for the greeting. Are you ok? You must feel life has changed a lot for you since losing your in-laws. xx

Plant - good advice about being careful with your hand - it's easy to forget when you are doing something routine. Take care.

Oma, I can do that, only, my muscles never relax like other peoples do, when I go for my treatment or to the physio, they all say the same thing. I do actually have times during the day that I do nothing! My mind is never stopping either, even when I am at the gym my mind races on to the next thing I have to do, I have tried yoga, mindfulness etc etc. At my age I am used to it.

I have just been and washed my car though, it really needed it, it isn't much work and I do enjoy cleaning a car.

Daisy, I do hope your GD soon recovers from whatever it was. Not nice seeing a child ill for so long, oh, just thinking, it will be half term in the UK, ours is next week.

Gem, enjoy your day with GS1.

Oma, I had to have a giggle at that remark of B’s, he is naughty but you love him.

Lizzie, busy, busy lady, love washing cars! Pleased to hear the medics have put your balance right.

Daisy, a change of scene will be good for your GD, I do hope she feels stronger soon. Strange illness.

Gemin, have fun with GS1 today, I imagine he loves going to the cinema and theatre with you.

I am going to pop to M&S later, not dressed yet. I have a parcel to collect.

I have a friend popping in for a coffee soon, I will pop in later.
