    Gosh, stay safe Clover!
I hope your hand feels more comfortable after the dressing is changed Plant. What a pity it cant be done closer to home.

Well what a strange weather day we are having!
We went to my mum's late morning, picked up post and checked things, then picked up our repeat prescriptions on the way back. We had lunch and in no time the hail started then full blown snow storm , big flakes, for a long time. It settled on cars trees and bushes but not the paths ands roads as it was wet. If it had been yesterday or Thursday I would have been driving in it, so I was glad it was today. Then it eventually stopped, the sun came out and now it is lightly raining.
We were glad we had been out before the snow. We have watched some TV and played a couple of games of Scrabble this afternoon.

Hallo, it is still blowing but nothing like yesterday. In fact we could be getting the hail and snow like you had Gem.

I have been to help the friends family again, the apartment is almost empty now, just the oak floor for them to remove and someone is coming for the kitchen units. A lot of the furniture etc has gone to a (very) young Syrian couple, it is some charity that you get in touch with and they get in touch with them. They were there this morning, very hard workers and so pleased and polite. He had the darkest hair I have ever seen. I came back with a huge plant pot and a mirror, I didn't really need them but they were going to the tip so I saved them. A neighbour came with coffee for us and she told me who was complaining about those boxes last weekend, the (ex) friends of mine, the one who had covid and never bothered to stay home. So annoying, he doesn't even live here!

Daisy, you did have a good morning at the garden centre, I have said I will pick the friend up from the home on Wednesday and I will take her for a walk round a garden centre and have a coffee whilst we are there.

Oma, what a lovely surprise for your GS!

Clover, I hope they have got the trees removed, I went to the shop this morning and I saw the tree men were already busy with their saws, so many trees were uprooted yesterday.

Plant, I hope someone is driving you to the hospital on Monday and that your hand is less painful when they have removed the bandage etc.

We had a good day day in town. Weather wasn't very good, a mix of rain and snow.
Just after we got home, the snow came a bit heavier, but only lasted for a few minutes.
Popped to mam and dads house on the way home,to make sure there was no damage.
Pleased to say all was well.
There are seven viewings booked in for next week.
One has a property to sell, the other six are all first time buyers.

Nanto - that sounds promising - first-time buyers, and I bet the other has got finance already in place.

Gem - the weather certainly did treat you well this morning. It sounds as though the snow was really heavy, and it would have been dangerous driving in it yesterday.

Lizzie - you do wonder about some people - the couple who didn't self-isolate even thought they knew they had Covid, and them complained about the boxes from your neighbour's house being cleared. Your friend will enjoy the walk round the garden centre on Wednesday. I bet there are amazing displays of Spring flowers.

OH rang our friend who owns the paddock and there was no reply, so we wonder if their phone lines are down. We'll try again tomorrow.

The sun came out here late afternoon, after hours of heavy driving rain. It was very cold though.

I've had a lazy afternoon, mainly reading in front of the cosy log burner.

          Night, night everyone.

Good morning, wet and windy so I plan to get some alterations done today. I have decided the mirror is far too big for what I wanted it for, I will ask the daughter and get it picked up by the second hand place.

That is what I mean Daisy, I don't know why they complained? I thought it was strange as I hardly ever see anyone at all here in the hall on a Sunday. I see the sun could shine on Wednesday so I hope the friend enjoys the garden centre, I won't do to the one her in the village or she will think she is on her way home again.

I need to get dressed and make a start.

Wet and windy again. Will this wind ever go away.

No set plans. Another go with the flow day.

                Good Sunday morning everyone.

Nanto - we need that nice cheery greeting on this miserable February day! Thank you.

Lizzie - will you get another mirror to replace the one that's too large? Enjoy working on your alterations, and stay out of the bad weather.

Plant - how are you this morning? Is it the Cirque du Soleil this week-end?

We were hoping to do some gardening this morning, but it's quite windy and wet underfoot. Perhaps it will dry out a bit in a while, but it's due to rain again this afternoon.

                  Morning ladies ,
been raining but the sun is out now ,

DD is bringing GS1 over later with the car , I wish I could show the video on here , his reaction was worth every penny ,
He was on the phone ages last night sitting in it on the drive , kept saying thank you and I love you both over and over

DD and SIL had gone to pick him up from work in it , he had no idea he was getting it
He didn’t know if he should laugh or cry

Plant I hope you slept better last night

Lizzie a day to stay in the warmth .

Daisy hope it’s not to soggy to dig around in the garden

Nanto it must be strange having time on your hands now ,

a bit of a go with the flow day here too x

                    Good morning ladies.

Very kind of you to take your friend out Lizzie, I'm sure she will enjoy that. Wise to pick your route, I wouldn't drive my mum anywhere near where she used to live for the same reason.

Nan2, its the weather for a go with the flow day. Roll on Spring! Great news on all the interest in your FIL's house.

Daisy you may need your wellies in the garden!
It is so wet here. The golf course has been closed for couple of days due to waterlogged conditions, and my mum's back garden had a lot of standing water yesterday

The rain has melted the last of the snow.
Last night we very much enjoyed our meal. Our friend T wasn't feeling too well, so it was just OH, J and me. We will definitely go back there.
No plans today, which is good as the rain isnt likely to let up until this evening!

                    Happy Sunday

Oma - your GS must be over the moon with his car. I'd have loved to see his face. I remember our GD1's when she got her phone last year. Her mum and dad parcelled it up in an electric toothbrush box, and her face when she realised it was her much long-for phone was priceless. Special moments, aren't they! Is GS learning to drive? (I can't remember when his birthday is). My GS2 has started lessons.

Gem - I'm glad you had a lovely evening, but what a pity one friend wasn't well enough to go.

Yes Daisy he’s been learning for a few weeks but looking for the car for months , he is 18 in September

We have saved weekly for them all since they were born so there was a sizeable amount for him , means it’s his and no finance to pay ,
Its a Skoda Fabia he has looked for one for ages .

Oma, thanks for sharing that special moment with us, such a lovely young man.

Nanto, going with the flow sounds good, you have time for yourselves now but I am sure you miss the in-laws.

Daisy, what a tease to wrap your GD’s phone in a toothbrush box. Not a gardening day today if you have our weather.

Gemini, sorry to hear one friend wasn’t able to be at the meal. No golf for S, nice to have that time together.

We are all at the Albert Hall for the circus this evening, we leave at 5.30 to drive there. 2 cars going from here and we are meeting the others in London. All GC were next door yesterday so quite lively in there. GGS and GGD1 were there for the night, I popped in later for some bubbles and GGD settled quite well (she likes her bed) but GGS was full of excuses to get up. I haven’t been in this morning yet but I hope they had a reasonable night. Sil has ordered sandwiches and wine for us to have in the interval, I am so looking forward to it ev en with a heavily bandaged hand., I haven’t been out for about a fortnight except to the hospital and doctors.

Lizzie, have a lovely day with your friend, you are a very kind, helpful and busy lady.
