Bright and sunny here and it doesn't seem quite so cold. Off to solicitor's this afternoon, not quite sure why, but think it's something to do with OH's Will.

This will be followed by clothes shopping for DS. He only has casual clothes with him, so he needs something a bit more formal. Thank you for asking after him. The meds seem to have helped and he's had a letter from the surgery about accessing mental health help.

Plant, DD uses the chip shop at the parade of shops in HG. They are very good! But it might be a bit too far for you to get them back home still warm.

Off to get a few more emails done now.

    Take care evrybody xx

ps Sending love to all those ladies who have sad memories today xx

Oma, the eldest is a boy 4 months, Lio and the youngest is 2 months, a girl, Jessy Jane. I am looking forward to seeing them, I have got a box from the Lidl for DIL2 instead of flowers!!!!! I usually send a photo of what is in the box and I managed to get one for this afternoon so I have been to pick it up and will take it with me tomorrow. This is the second box from the Lidl this week, I will have to go in disguise !

I have just been on the phone to Post NL, the friend in Scotland sends me a calendar every year, I have to pay import duty! I don't mind paying that, but, he has put the wrong postal code on so I have my doubts if it will arrive, I had a lovely young man on the phone, he said this is very unusual and he had to ask someone how to deal with it, I do hope it goes well but I have my doubts, the address is good and the name so we shall see what happens.

WG, you must have a good surgery, my BIL has been waiting a year for mental health help! All they do is tell him to take more tablets.

Oma I can't put the tree up today as I am too stressed and can't be bothered!! Problems (which I hope will be resolved) regarding mum's house sale. I'm waiting for the solicitors handling the sale to ring back. I truly wonder what we pay them for. I will update more on that thread later.
I just can't get my head in the right place for Christmas decorations at the moment. We need both spare bedrooms tomorrow night for the GC staying overnight so I think I will just bring all the boxes down to the conservatory, and may do it on Sunday which is a free day.
          Ho hum!!

Oh Gemini, what a worry for you, I hope it isn’t anything serious.

Had to go for a blood test this morning but because I am going out mostly all day tomorrow I had to go to the sister surgery, a bit of a drive. I stopped out for lunch and just got back in time to get to bowls, only six of us there today. I now have mince pies in the oven. Busy day.

Oma sounds like a good trip today, did Mil have a nice time.

Don't worry, panic over but there are still hold ups on the solicitors part. I'll update later.
I put a few decorations around and brought all the boxes down to the conservatory .
Well done getting the mince pies done Plant.

Solicitor's was very stress free, but she said we were lucky going today as they're all working from home as from next week! She is starting all the necessary paper work, but it'll be a colleague who deals with me as she doesn't do Probate!

No joy with clothes for DS! Think we'll probably have to brave town sometime next week.

Traffic was horrendous in town. Can't think why.

Gem, hope all goes well with the solicitor and sale of house. It's a worrying time especially when you can't do anything about it yourself.

Lizzie, I'm not quite sure why/how our surgery has become so efficient! It's not always like this I can assure you! There's no saying he'll get an appointment with the wellbeing team any time soon though.

Have a good evening ladies x

Oma, glad MIL was on good form.

Gem, hope it isn't too big a problem with the house sale.

Don't think hubby will be starting on replacing the the radiator till sunday at the earliest.
New flooring is down and looks nice.
                    Will post a photo tomorrow.

Good morning, Ladies. I spent too long doing the Sainsburys order last night that I didn't get back here to catch up with yesterday's events. I ordered the ingredients to make a curry for Christmas Eve when DS1 and family are staying, and I've just seen that they've substituted the two main ingredients - chicken breasts instead of thighs and the curry paste I like for curry 'pots' - whatever they might be! I think I might be getting obsessed with food for Christmas!!

                        I'll pop back later.

Just been to the post office and its breezy.
But,the local forecast is for plenty of sunshine.

Jane, its not bad that you've had 2 christmas dinners,so long as you enjoyed them.

                          Off to dads later.

                            Good morning ladies ,

Jane just think f them as Sunday roasts

Gem so pleased its nothing to worry about ,
My SIL said yesterday her's is being held up by silly questions about stuff going backwards and forwards ,
The person who is buying hers lived next door for 10 years so she knows him well he could just have gone around and asked the questions but its all got to go through solicitors
                            Madness isn't it .

Nanto lovely Graphic so calming , hope FIL is ok , looking forward to seeing a photo of your new floor , are you pleased with it ?

WG nice that it was all plain sailing with Solicitor , last thing you need at the moment is complications , how are you all are you ok ? xx

Lizzie getting to hold two babies how lucky are you
Have you sorted the Calendar problem ?

Plant well done with the mince pies , I bet it smells good in your kitchen
Is it today you go see your sister ?

I was going to my sisters this morning but they all have heavy colds so im not chancing getting it before Christmas , no sense taking chances .

So we have decided to go to a Outlet shopping centre called Royal Quays its about half hour drive away through the Tyne tunnel , all the ships dock there from Amsterdam
and sometimes the smaller cruise ships a lot of Duty free shops there .

So far its dry and getting brighter but cold
Have a good day ladies xxx

                              Good morning everyone.

Thank goodness the solicitor's was stress free WG. More stress is not what you need.

Jane, lucky you, two Christmas lunches already!

Good to hear MIL was on good form Oma. I feel a bit guilty not seeing my mum during the week this week. As it is the care home party on Saturday which I will be at, and things are quite busy this week, I gave myself a 'week off'.

Daisy, I hate it when they substitute things. Sometimes its OK sometimes in my experience nothing like the original!

I hope you find your FIL well Nan2.

I am meeting a friend for coffee in the village this morning. I could have done with it being next week to be honest. She has been to Canada to see her family and we haven't properly caught up since then, so I didn't like to put her off.
Double school run this afternoon, then both GC overnight. We may go to see the cul de sac of Christmas lights in the adjoining village tonight. It is famous, on TV and in newspapers often!

                              Have a nice Friday everybody.

Good morning, no word on the calender Oma, I remember buying some shoes many years ago at a small outlet near the docks when we caught the boat back to Amsterdam.

                                Gem, enjoy your busy day.

Daisy, I hope you get your curry paste for the curry.

I am going to get ready to go now, I went to the gym this morning and one of the regulars has lost his wife, suddenly, a heart attack, the man has had brain surgery and has no memory, his wife arranged everything for him, I don't know how he will cope without her now. He could be talking to me then half way forget what the conversation was about. Sad!
