Oma - your little gingerbread light is very pretty and festive. Glad you finally made it to Mainsgill Farm Shop - 3rd time lucky? A garden centre near to both me and Enfys usually has reindeer at Christmas. I haven't checked to see if they are there this year, though. It's lovely just watching them.

Lizzie - that bike had done you proud. How many miles do you think you've ridden on it?

Glamm - that's a good idea of Plant's if you feel up to it.

Gem - I must get something a bit more interesting than the single use masks!

We ended up digging our way to Australia instead of doing the caravan. We're getting out all the old soil from around the tree we've had taken down - we've now filled the trailer for the second time. I have to confess most of the actual digging has been done by OH. I have the essential support role of Earth Mother - feeding, making tea and fetching and carrying. We now have a rubble bag full of leaves which I'm going to rake into a border in the back garden. They'll rot down easily enough and safe a trip to the tip.

Lizzie - I was just curious to know if you had any idea! I bet it's thousands of miles - even if it was just 10 miles a week it would be 5,200!

The little gingerbread house is lovely Oma. I ordered my Christmas mask on ebay. This has holly and gold on it.

Feeling very sorry for myself and annoyed as I have lost my glasses. These are the ones I need for TV, cinema and theatre and most importantly driving.
I had them to drive to and from school this afternoon and now they have disappeared. I think I remember putting them in the living room but no sign of them now. I usually take them off as soon as I come in and only put them on again when I want to watch TV. OH and I have searched everywhere. I have an old pair which I keep in my car for such an emergency. I wore them one day recently when I got into my car without my glasses for a short journey, and I cant find those either.
It's a short drive to the library tomorrow so I could probably manage without or walk or OH may drop me off. I can't visit my mum on Thursday on do the two school pick ups on Friday without my glasses however. Please send glasses finding vibes!

Good morning, Daisy on my E bike I do 5,000 a year, I must have done at least 2,000 a year on this one, that is certainly a lot of kms!! I have always loved cycling, feel free when I am out and about. Oma, that is true, many years ago I had friends with a cycle shop, my bike at the time wasn't up to much but with being alone with 2 young children I hadn't money for a new one, the man called me in one day and said he had just the one for me, a Raleigh, I told him I could never afford that , he said I could pay him so much a month if I could miss the money, I did that and the Raleigh lasted me for 30+ years. Well worth the money.

Gem, how can you lose your specs?? Are they between newspapers or anything?

It is warm here at the moment but blowing a gale! I will go to the gym later today as I haven't any other plans.

Lizzie, its very windy here as well, and colder than yesterday.

Daisy, you asked about the cardigan i had on in the photo i posted a few days ago.
It is one i got from Damart a couple of months ago.

                No plans for today.

                  Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto That looks just the job - a nice steaming hot drink on a chilly morning. It's damp here but otherwise ok.

Gem - how annoying. Those glasses must be somewhere. If you brought them into the house after the school run yesterday afternoon, they must be around somewhere. Could they have been knocked off a table/window sill etc and be hiding under furniture? In a drawer you opened? Definitely not been left in your car? I've sent you all my glassses-finding vibes to help. x

It's the last French lesson for this term. Today's topic is going to be food - to eat and talk about!

                  I'll pop back later.

Good morning Lizzie, Nan2 and everyone.

I have found the flaming glasses!!!!! They were in the pocket of the trousers I had been wearing that afternoon. I went upstairs to change back into comfier ones, and hung them over the banister. I must have put the glasses in my pocket as soon as we got in for some reason! I checked the bedroom earlier and no sign of the glasses. At bedtime I went to hang the trousers on a trouser hanger - and there were the glasses

                    * Daisy, we checked every possible place, inside, in car, outside!! It was driving us mad last night, and I went to bed with a headache from a couple of hours of TV with no glasses!

Library for me this afternoon. Not sure what I will do this morning. I have addressed all the Christmas cards now and written the family ones, so those that have to be posted need to go into the post in the next few days.

Take care everyone. Thinking of WG and family.

                      Good morning all .
December already! We've been in our new home 9 months now, it's flown by so fast.

I'm having my booster vaccine this afternoon. It was hell trying to get a slot and if comments on social media are anything to go by it hasn't gotten any better.
OH is having his tomorrow morning.

Gem have you thrown your glasses away with any rubbish you may have put in a bin . Just an idea as I once threw my unopened wages packet ( remember the days when you were actually paid in cash!) In the bin . I did find them eventually but not before tearing the whole place down. I couldn't even use old age as an excuse for being absent minded as I was only about 17 at the time.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good to get your boosters done with Mimi.
The bin was a good idea - I don't think we checked there!! You and I posted at the same time, when I was reporting them found now
