Good Morning lovely ladies and thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday which was a sad day for me and my family,I have not felt like posting all week and spent the time keeping as busy as I can.I just can't believe its 2 long years already without my darling man my eldest son called in yesterday with my DGD and she cheered me up no end she is joining up her sentences now and its delightful to speak to her as she tells me all her news.

I have delivered all my local cards and popped to say hello to some neighbours some never have visitors I didn't go inside any houses just chatted at the door for a few minutes hopefully it brightened their day a wee bit.

This year my DGD (19) went up into the loft for my decorations but guess what we can't find my big baubles there are 3 of them tied together with green satin ribbon always put up just above the centre of the window well she looked everywhere for them and we can't find them for love or money I think I must have xmas elves in that loft somewhere !!! but hey-ho the lights are up on the tree outside and look good I got lights from Rightway that run on batteries opposed to mains they stay on for 6hrs then switch off so I turned them on for 4pm and switch off is 10pm the batteries last 6/7 days and automatically turn on the same time every day I think they are cheaper than mains ???

We have been very lucky with the weather here it was awful watching all the news about NE areas that lost power I really felt for everyone all I got was a couple of pot plants blowing over and lots and lots of leaves being blown into my front garden we are indeed very lucky compared to elsewhere.

Hoping everyone has a good day sending lots of best wishes x

Had a nice morning out bought a few things so didn't come home empty handed

Its a bit of a wind trap there though , luckily I had my scarf hat and gloves with me so wrapped up and it was fine .

Going to do some lunch and maybe post the neighbours Christmas cards .

A sad time for you Glamma, naturally. I'm glad your little GD cheered you up
        Oh that is sad Lizzie.
        Keep warm Oma!

I had a nice catch up with friend T (whose name begins with J but we have so many J friends she has to have her surname here )
OH got her cards finished and posted this morning.
The bedrooms are ready for the children tonight. I phoned my auntie to arrange to see her next week, and have sent another stiff email to the solicitors (I WILL update in this when I have time!)
Lunch now then off on the school run.
        Bye for now.

Aww plant, glad you got to see your sister, even if its left you feeling a bit down.

Been a nice day here, plenty of sunshine.

            Oma,dad was ok today.
Here is the photo of the new flooring.
The old one hasn't been down long, but it started going wavy.
I blame the fitter. The old one was down in 20 minutes.
Different fitters yesterday and they were here nearly 2 hours.

Plant - sending hugs to you.

Nanto - glad to hear your FIL is ok - I'm sure like all our ladies who have lost dear ones this year, this first Christmas will be poignant for him, too. He's doing very well and it must help knowing that you and hubby are close by and looking after him. I do like your new flooring - it's unusual.

Gem - I do hope the sale goes through soon - they've surely had plenty of time by now to do searches etc. Have a lovely evening with your GCs.

Glamm - John sounds such a lovely man, and it's so sad he's not with you to see those lovely little ones growing up, but I'm so glad GGD was able to cheer you up a bit with all her news. xx

What a pity so many people never get visitors. Your neighbours must be so grateful to see you and have a little chat - you're very kind.

Lizzie - how sad about the gentleman at your gym losing his wife so suddenly. I hope he's got family who will help him.

Jane -I'm sure you will still enjoy the "real" Christmas dinner. Are you doing the cooking or are you going out?

WeeGranny - how are you today? You've been so busy with all that paperwork. xx

Oma - you always manage to find something in the shops, but nice to go somewhere different sometimes. Glad MIL was in good spirits again.

OH posted our Christmas cards this morning - he had to wait 20 minutes in a queue at the post office counter because we'd run out of stamps! Just local ones to write now. GD2's birthday present arrived today. I'm almost beginning to feel organised! Haha.

OH is out tonight, so I'm going to get some cooking done while it's quiet, but will have a break to watch Gardeners' World later.

I wonder if Enfys is back yet?

Good morning everyone, sorry for not being around yesterday, I went to DS2, I met the babies, but, the DD1 is staying there a few days whilst her partner is in Dubai for the Formule 1 and she can't cope at home by herself with a baby and a dog so she is staying there a few days, they didn't tell me about the dog being there and I am so allergic, I came home and went to bed, I have slept 12 hours and still have a splitting headache. It was nice to see the babies, that bathroom is almost finished and I enjoyed the lunch. I will tell DS2 not to invite me if the dog is going to be there.

Nan2, the floor does look smart, I like that style.

Daisy, the man has one son, the same age as DS2, we hope that the man (L) still gets to the gym as he really enjoys it when he is there.

I have some sewing to do today so it will be a relaxing day for me.

Good morning Lizzie and everyone else.

Lizzie, we can't always post every day, so no need for apologies What a pity you had a bad reaction to the dog. As you say, you need to know if it will be there. I hope your headache goes soon.

I'm not sure when Enfys will be back Daisy. I think they went for a week.

                      Flooring looks good Nan2.

I hope you slept well Plant.

We had GD and GS2 overnight. Today is the Christmas party at mum's care home. Each resident can invite one visitor. As it is near DD's the plan was for me to take the children home first, giving DD and SIL a nice lie in after their work night out.
Best laid plans as they say, GS has now been invited to a party over beyond where they live, at 10 am! In a play barn. Not what DD would choose after night out! SIL is coming for GS after breakfast and DD will take him to the party. GD can have lie in and lazy morning and I will drop her home.
Party at mum's at 1. I hope she enjoys it.

I hope everyone is well and has a good Saturday.

Gem, what a lovely surprise to see the lights.
Hope the party goes well at the care home.

Lizzie, sometimes life gets in the way. Don't apologise for yesterday.

Daisy, did you get some cooking done.

                        I've been pottering about.
We are going into town today and then on to the supermarket.

Thank you for the kind comments about the flooring.

                          Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto - I failed on cooking! I went into the kitchen, did some tidying up, and then realised it was later than I thought and I was very tired - too tired even to decide whether to make mincepies, chicken curry or soup! It will get done though, perhaps today or tomorrow.

Lizzie - what a shame about the dog being there. It's awful for you, and I'm sure they were disappointed as well. I bet the babies were gorgeous. Enjoy your sewing day today.

Gem - your poor DD would have loved a lie-in! It's typical though - I hope GS2 enjoys the party. What a lovely surprise that OH had put the lights up while you were out. I do hope your Mum enjoys the Christmas party today. Does she like Christmas cake and mincepies, etc?

OH is spending the morning woodturning. Our lovely new neighbour is joining him - he's just learning, and is trying to get something finished for a Christmas present. My OH went through the bottom of the large bowl he's working on a couple of days ago, so he'd trying to salvage it if he can.

Plant - I hope you are feeling better today. Yesterday must have been draining for you. xxx

WeeGranny - I hope you've got a week-end free to relax a bit and get some rest.

What is everyone else doing this week-end?

Daisy, I have been talking about making mince pies for some time and no sign of them!
Yes mum loves all the Christmas food. The buffet lunch today should be just up her street 😊

If nothing else it gets him out of the house into the shed
He found a wood turners shop about 15 miles away , they sell all sorts and have gave some good advice what he needs and doesn't need yet , and how to overcome some things he wasnt sure about .

WG how are you today ?

Oma, I still have a headache but it will go, I had to find another home for my own dog years ago so they do know I am allergic to them.
