A busy afternoon at the library for me,and a cheerful one with the singing group in the next room
Cataloguing, shelving and moving books from one branch to another (on the system, not physically - that's someone else's job!) were the order of the day.
This morning OH and I booked our travel insurance, and car hire for Florida, so a productive day in all.

Just a quick message from Plant. She has got the internet gremlins today and can't get on to GRU - or anywhere else. She's fine, but kindly didn't want us worrying about her.

I've just picked up the message when I got in from dog training, so I'll come bck and read what everyone's been up to later.

Gem, so pleased you found your glasses.
Been a quiet day here. Hubby went to the bungalow people to do a couple of jobs.
SIL wanted a shelf putting in the cupboard and something moving in the kitchen.

I have now spoken to Plant. She really is ok, apart from e-gremlins. She said her sister is going to be moved back to her own home and be cared for by her GD with outside care support. We both commented that we think her sister will be more comfortable in her own home. But thank you all for caring about her. xx

Good morning. It's a cold one.

Hope Plants gremlins are gone today. I think her sister will be more comfortable at home as well.

                      Good morning ladies.

That is good news about Plant's sister Daisy. She will be happier at home.

Busy day for me. Committee meeting at 9.30, then I will go to Sainsburys for few things. This afternoon I will visit my mum and hopefully decorate her room for Christmas.
It is lightly snowing, I hope it stops soon as I hate to drive in the snow.
OH is going to the snooker this afternoon. Last time she was spotted briefly on the TV!

                      Have a good Thursday everyone.

Good morning ladies. We are enjoying bright sunshine at the moment, but still a chilly 3C.

Nanto - Plant was going to ask her son or one of her GSs to sort out her iPads. It sounds as though they've run out of memory or something similar, so hopefully they will soon be sorted out.

OH has a meeting this morning, so I'm going to get on with a few jobs - there are plenty to choose from! It might be windows as the windows cleaner did outside yesterday.

Gem - I hope the snow doesn't amount to anything. Your Mum will enjoy having her room decorated for Christmas, I'm sure. OH has been watching bits of the snooker - I hope S enjoys it.

Hello Jane - I hope you haven't got snow your way!

Good moaning each from a chilly but dry Essex.
So glad the glasses have turned up Gem. OH lost his car key fob recently. When the chap came to link the new fob, he said the lost one was responding but we still can’t find it! So frustrating.
Nothing but a pile of ironing on the agenda for me today, and one more present to buy! Card to NZ written and ready to go, I could do the rest this afternoon-or not. 😆
DD2 is a TA and up to yesterday eleven children in her class were off with COVID, including two she works closely with. I don’t think she stands much chance of avoiding it, even though she is jabbed. Fingers crossed. It seems to be whipping through the schools hereabouts. I understand there were forty confirmed cases at a school in the next village from here.
Now I have mastered knitting in the round (hats are featuring in the stockings this year 😆) I’m going to knit a vest. Not an under-garment, a kind of tank top arrangement.

                            Just catching up on yesterday.

Jane - I love your watercolour wreath, and it looks very professional. Are you enjoying your new hobby? I've been sloshing acrylics about since lockdown and love it!

Gem - thank goodness you found your glasses. My next suggestion was to ask GS1 if he noticed what you did with them as he's such a smart observant little boy. Having the choir in the next room in the Library sounds lovely and I'm sure it puts a smile on everyone's face.

Oma - yes, we did have nibbles at French class yesterday. The tutor brought fizz (non-alcoholic as we were all driving). Unfortunately the friend I go with had to leave early - usually it's me rushing away! but we still had time to enjoy a bit of social time with everyone. It's grown into a lovely social group! I hope if Storm and Eva were ever to meet he wouldn't tell her about all the treats he gets!

Mimi - I hope your booster went ok, and no ill-effects. Doesn't time fly - you'll soon be celebrating a year in your new home. Does it feel like you've been there for ever now?

I am back!!!, It was the signal as I thought. I share broadband with the family and something in the loft directs it to me. It often drops out to my part of the bungalow but Sil was working and too busy yesterday to go in their loft, he must have dealt with it this morning. Thanks Daisy for passing on my message.

Your work yesterday in the library sounds lovely with the background of singing. So pleased you found your glasses. Hope OH enjoys the snooker, will your mum watch it?

I have seen Jane’s watercolours on Facebook, they are so good, I love watercolours.

Grauntie, so you have mastered your knitting in the round, there is no stopping you now. I hope you are continuing to feel better.

If the moving of my sister back to her home is successful I might be able to speak to her on the phone. Her youngest GD has arranged this and said she will care for her with professional help. Considering the medics didn’t think she would be with us now, she is a tough lady and I think she will be so pleased to be home. I hope she will have a visit from her local priest. Her son is still waiting for his Visa.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
