Thinking of you dear WG, and hoping a break will happen for you when the time is right xx
All snow here gone too Nan2, thank goodness.
Mimi, we have lived here a month short of eleven years and still don't know all the short cuts!
Just GS1 to collect from school today. I have various things to be getting on with this morning, I also want a couple of things from M & S foodhall at some point, so may go there.
I am taking part in a travel survey for two weeks so will be taking a gps device with me everywhere I go. I will explain about this on a separate thread. My stint began yesterday, but as I didn't go anywhere, today is its first outing.
Take care everyone.

Good morning. Such sad news to read this morning, thinking of WG at this time.
Sorry for my absence, the time is just flying by and Iβve had an up and down couple of weeks. This time of year is always difficult but I feel itβs either sink or swim so Iβm swimming!
i am going to Devon for a week on Friday with all the family. We booked the same house we had last year but then that was sold and we had to find another one! Luckily we found a beautiful house on the same road, so still on the estuary which we loved . It will be lovely for us all to be together, that so rarely happens theses days and GSβs girlfriend is coming too. Really looking forward to the break.
I must try and catch up with all your news, congratulations Gem on the new baby, how lovely. Not a lot happening here, Iβm still going to my knitting and natter and try and meet up with friends when possible.
Still having shopping delivered, have continued wearing masks so the new rules wonβt make any difference to me but think itβs a good idea. I have just ordered a couple more masks as I feel this could be ongoing for a long while, we shall see.
mu gardener has just arrived so I must go and make her a cuppa before she starts, hope everyone is keeping well, have a good day π

Good morning,so sad to read your news WG xx
I have also started with the xmas cards all the special ones cost an arm & a leg don't they I post the ones to neighbours by hand and ones further away by Scout Post if I can it gives funds to the Scout movement.
This pain in my back is not getting any better I've tried everything I can think of I am certainly going to pilates classes and start after the New Year I wish I could earlier to be honest.
On Wednesday I have to go for another injection to my left eye the appointment is at 8-30am so I shall have to up bright and early which this body is not used to !! They have a lovely little cafe in the hospital so I shall treat myself to one of their delicious breakfast's after the treatment I have to get the bus back as I'm not allowed to drive for the rest of the day I will get a taxi there to get there early it costs Β£15 each way so a bus back eases the purse strings somewhat for me.
My Oliver was quite upset yesterday as DD called in with Hugo my DGSs kitten he had been to the vets to have his crown jewels removed he is 6mths old Oliver stalked all around his carry bag and was growling like a lion it was so funny watching him even after they had left he was stalking around the lounge looking for little Hugo so funny.
No snow here just very cold the winds have died down and I still have not had the energy to brush the leaves from the front maybe tomorrow if the winds stay away.
I was out early this morning, so didn't get a chance to say 'good morning'. We made the most of the slight break in the weather to take Eva and Cooper out.
Sending love and sympathy to WeeGranny and her family.
Enfys - I'm glad you were able to rebook your holiday in Devon. How lovely to have all the family together to help you through a difficult time of year.
Glamm - I hope your eye is ok after the injection. Will you be ok getting the bus back? I had to smile at Oliver's reaction to Hugo.
Gem - I didn't know there were sparkly, Christmassy masks.
Nanto and Oma - let's hope that's the last of the snow for you for this winter.
We're cleaning the caravan today - it certainly needs it after all the dust flying round.

Happy caravan cleaning Daisy!
Last winter I bought a pack of two washable masks covered in sequins from Accesorize. One black, one pinky beige. I have had lots of compliments when I have worn them π

I have had a MOT done on my shopping bike! I walked there and back for the first time in a long time so the soles are doing their work. I had to pick the bike up at 1pm and it had just started to rain, more drizzle all afternoon, not as cold though. They have put a new back tyre on etc so it is like new, it is 15 years old and I have used it, a lot, I used to take the girls all over on it, when GD2 was small I would have them both with me.
Glamm, I was just talking to the friend I swim with and she had an injection in her eye this morning, behind her eye they do it. She still looks ill, has to go for heart tests etc tomorrow and see what is causing it all.
Enfys, enjoy the holiday with all the family in Devon.
Glamm itβs so costly getting taxi,s isnβt it xx
Gem a nice seasonal mask is it from the same place you got your sparkly one,s from ?
Daisy did you get the caravan done ?
Went to MILβs I was shocked how much damage to houses around her ,
some had very little slates left just huge holes , two houses the chimney stacks had collapsed ,
lots of fences down .
I rang council cleansing to come collect the fence itβs laying on her lawn , they sending a inspector out in next few days to give her a price for removal then it will take a week or two to remove .
From there we took the opportunity to finally get to Mainsgill farm shop at Scotch corner
Had a very nice lunch when we got there before having a look around and doing some shopping .
Bought a large Rib eye steak joint we will take a small piece off and give the rest to DD for Christmas lunch , it will go in the freezer once he cuts that later
Not cheap but itβs from their own cattle so we know where it comes from and how they are kept ,
I also bought a lovely little Ginger bread house itβs a tea light holder but I have put battery lights in it ,
bought some Christmas treats and a couple of wooden Christmas hangings , so all in all a nice afternoon
feel tired now itβs a huge huge place and lots to see .
Oh and outside they had the Camels and Llamas out so went over to the field to say hello πππͺπ«π¦π¦
