Lots of decisions to make WG, you have done very well in the time. My OH was a man who didn’t like fuss.

Hello everyone. This has been my first chance to pop online today! Sainsburys were here at 8 am, and by the time we'd put the shopping away and I'd had a shower etc it was light and warm enough to go in the garden. We were keen to get things moved back into place and tidied up, then we can start to think about the household jobs and Christmas! We've got a tip run booked for 9 am tomorrow, so another early start. I'm going along as Santa's little helper!!!
I've just been in long enough to make a warming cuppa - OH is still doing a few odds and ends outside. I'm cold, tired and aching all over - takes my mind off my arm and hand!!
Enfys - I hope you've had a good journey down to Devon and are settled into the holiday place, warm and cosy.
Lizzie - your lazy susan was a good buy. Such good news about your swimming friend. Lizzie - I saw about that little boy on the news. It quite literally makes me feel sick to think that there are so-called human beings who could deliberately and systematically treat a defenceless child like that. It's heartbreaking.
Nanto - thank you for the pretty graphic. x Glad to hear it's a bit warmer your way.
Jane - your new Patron sounds an amazing lady and very courageous to have fought against long-held practice of forced marriages. I hope your meeting went well. You must be filled with love every time you see your GD relaxed and happy in your home.
Oma - did you manage a nana nap after your sleepless night? That salmon sounds a real bargain. I try and keep a whole side like that in the freezer ready for unexpected/short notice visitors as it always looks special and you can serve it cold with a salad or hot with potatoes and some nice veggies.
Plant - I hope you don't have to wait long for your dermatology appointment. Our window cleaner is very good and he'd always clean the greenhouse for me when I had that, but his long squirty-water poles wouldn't be great inside! I don't mind doing them, and like to see them clean, but it does take a while, and I've done the hardest now! I hope your GD1 has a lovely birthday tomorrow.
Gem - I bet you did come out of M&S with lots of goodies. I don't think that chocolate panetonne stands any chance of surviving until Christmas! Perhaps you should have got two and "hidden" one. I hope the GCs are both ok this afternoon. It must have been nice to see your Mum tucking into her mincepie and enjoying it.
WeeGranny - you have got a lot of arrangements made very quickly, and I'm sure everything is as your dear OH would have wished. The Humanist services I have attended have been beautiful, very personal to the family and comforting. You must be worn out with all the paperwork - it's quite daunting. Relax and enjoy that wine this evening. Sending hugs xx
I've thawed out a bit now, someone is asking for her dinner (guess who!) and I need to get ours ready as well.

So much to catch up on.
WG, you are doing so well considering its early days.
Oma,dad is doing ok.Some days he's a bit down, but he gets through.
Went to dads this morning, and hubby came to pick me up.
We didn't come home, hubby was going to help DS2 sort out the cellar.
Been there for most of the day. His partner was going to make something to eat,but we all fish and chips instead.
Just seen on the weather forecast that it will get colder over the weekend.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
Optician for me this morning. Much needed as I was due a check up when the pandemic started. My glasses are so loose they fall off when I look down!
This evening we are eating out with a group of friends, an early Christmas celebration. I'm a little nervous about this, but we are triple jabbed and life must go on.
Have a good day everyone. Don't forget to check if the Advent Calendar has been done“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning ladies
It’s bright but cold .
Just finished my weekly blitz takes a bit longer with decks up as have to move stuff but it’s done .
How are we all today ?
Hope Enfys is enjoying her break .
WG how are you doing xx
DD wants me to go to the village fete this afternoon , depending on the weather I will go but you can’t get parked as it’s just a little village green
So we will have to walk from DD and although it’s only about 15 mins walk from hers, I’m not sure my hips will carry me that long they playing up at the minute . Plus if it’s raining and windy it’s no fun
have a good day ladies I will pop back later xx

Hi everyone, nice advent pic Oma. Would DD be able to drop you off instead of a painful walk for you?
It is my GG1’s birthday today, she is 27. I had a frantic call from her yesterday morning, baby H crying GD was unable to pacify her. Her mother DD was at a fitness class so I started to get ready to go down to her, just going out of the door when DD appeared, she was going to have a shower and she would go down. DD brought them back and checked her temp. Which was high, Calpol administered and when I popped in next door, she was all smiles and sitting on her Papas lap looking at a book, she has a runny nose and a watery eye. I wonder what sort of night they had. GD is not well herself. So many colds around.
I hope Enfys has settled in and enjoying a change of scene.
Thinking about WG, so pleased she has her son with her and her DD just a drive away.
I haven’t heard whether my sister was back home as planned.

Good morning everyone. Lots of early birds today.
I escaped the tip run - we'd both forgotten the dog food order arriving this morning so I've stayed home to take that in. I'm getting on with a few more windows and some washing.
Oma - it would be nice to go to the fete, I'm sure, but if it's a bit too far to walk could DD drop you off in her car and then take it back home. Hopefully it will be a nice calm afternoon.
Good morning Nanto and friend. Did your hubby get the cellar sorted out? Fish and chips is always a good option!
Gem - it does sound as though you're ready for an eye check. I hope it's not too expensive. I know what you mean about going out at the moment. I'd been all prepared to go to a couple of events this month, but with things as they are we've pulled out. OH went to a meeting a few days ago, and one of the other people there tested positive the next day. OH has tested and is negative, but it's a bit of a lottery isn't it. I think sitting down in a restaurant should be ok though. don't let it spoil your enjoyment. x
WG - I hope you did relax with that wine yesterday, and managed a good night's sleep. I hope you can get in touch with D's cousins.
Enfys - it's quite mild and a bit sunny here this morning, I do hope it's the same for you and your family in Devon.

DD would drop me off but they close the roads going in so it would still be a way to walk
