Golly, what a busy day everyone's had! All that ironing makes me feel guilty - my pile of it just grows and grows!
Sorry I missed commenting on a couple of posts which crossed with mine.
Grauntie - I wonder where that key fob will turn up! That's a lot of Covid around your way. I suppose children were bound to get it after being isolated at home for so long during the lockdowns. Hopefully the cases are mild and they are building up immunity gradually like we've all done with colds and flu. I do hope your DD escapes, though.
Plant - I'm so glad to see you're back, and it was nothing serious. I was nice to have a chat though, and I do hope your sister will be home very soon. She's a brave and determined lady. xx
Gem - I meant to put brandy butter on my order today for the same reason, and forgot. I'll do it next week.
Enfys - I hope travelling light still means you've got lots of layers to wrap up warm. Safe journey tomorrow, and enjoy your holiday. Perhaps your elderly neighbour just needs a complete change of life style and some tough challenges to help him deal with his loss. I hope he's ok.
Nanto - whenever I see lazy susans I think what a good idea they are. Next time I must get a couple for my spice cupboard. Although I do find the small baskets with little handles at one end useful.
Glamm - we didn't put our outside lights up last year because we weren't here, but perhaps we will this year and hope we don't have any gales.
Mimi - it's amazing how all those things jump into your trolley in shops, isn't it! At least you also got what you went into Home Bargains for. Good for you, meeting up with your friends again. No matter what, at some point in our lives we have to press on and live it fully. Your friends will be delighted to see you.
We've also had our first card yesterday, from friends who are going away for the whole of December and the first week in January. I wish they'd said where they are going!
I got some of the windows cleaned, but then my arm was aching and my knees were starting to hurt from kneeling on kitchen work surfaces to reach those windows. They are the hardest ones to do, so good to get them out of the way. Then we went out into the garden to start moving things back on to the patio. I decided to wash and clean out the water barrel, but it was so cold I gave up and did a bit of online shopping, instead.
