Library afternoon for me, nothing else planned today.

Good morning, poor you Glamm, I do hope you are soon feeling better.

You would enjoy your day with the GD's Daisy, yes, they do grow, GD1 is 6ft now, we do all hope she has stopped growing.

I got a mail yesterday saying I wasn't home so they had delivered my parcel to number 5, off I go and the poor man didn't know a thing about it, I called at my friends as she lives next door to him, the same story, then my neighbour as if I am out my parcel gets delivered there, no luck. I came home and did the official track and trace, with a red face, I order some things for GD2 for her bead making, they get delivered there but it is my mail address so I got the mail that they had been to delivered to number 5, their next door neighbours, not mine!

Oma - yes, you're right. You have to make the most of the GCs' childhood. Enjoy your Storm day. Eva's tried after having Cooper yesterday, but she'll be ok by the time it's time for training class later!

Gem - will the library be extra-busy with it being half-term?

I am going for my booster jab this morning, I think I will pick up the ingredients for some Christmas puddings and make them this afternoon. DD and Sil are ff soon to Mumbles to visit Sil’s sister.

Nanto, no wind here just drizzle, you wouldn’t get your washing dry here.

WG, how frustrating for you not to know when your OH is going to be discharged from hospital. Is the nursing home nearer than the hospital to you. I think there are road works everywhere, roads are being closed every day. Good to hear you have some company again.

Didn't wake up til gone 9 this morning! It was either DS being home or the fact that I'd timed the heating to come on or a combination of both!

it grey and miserable here today. Next door neighbour has been out and washed his car......it's been out twice in the past week and has now scraped up all the loose soil that collects in the paviours when we've had heavy rain. He hasn't done the bit outside mine though!!!

Glamm, you do sound poorly. Take it easy and don't rush things. As Daisy said people seem to be taking longer to recover from colds and things this year probably because we've lost our resistance to germs during lockdown.

Finally going to do the ironing. Just haven't got round to it lately. Hopefully I won't have to drive anywhere today. Picked up some bits and pieces yesterday to see us through to the weekend......unless DS eats it all before then!

Plant, yes the home is nearer than the hospital and there's parking there,, so no extortionate car park fees or parking a half hour's walk away or catching a bus ( still not a 100% confident about that!).

Its raining and windy now and quite chilly not a day to be out and about if you don't need too

I have cleaned the fridge out and the veg cupboard ,
Potatoes and carrots don't seem to last long these days ,
The carrots looked very sorry for themselves
Sweet Potato's and the squash was fine though .

Got my washing dried. Had plenty of sunshine and a breeze today.

Yes, pleased I realised where the parcel one, I have just been on the bike and called in, GD2 showed me her beads etc, it was lovely on the bike, a bit windy but warm, I treated myself to a bunch of amaryllis, there was a sign there telling us that owing to the price of gas they will have to put their prices up from November 1st.

Oma, we have noticed that carrots don't last long! We busy them in smaller quantities now.

A very busy afternoon at the library!
I have the contract pack and transfer etc (again) for mum's house sale so that is positive. Not getting excited though as we have been here before!

OH was discharged from hospital this afternoon. Leaving it until tomorrow to let him get settled before we go and visit.
I bet he'll sleep well tonight!

Oh I am glad he is out of hospital WG. He will settle much better back in the home than in hospital, and much easier visiting for you.
