Morning ladies
Nanto I like Jacket potato and beans too but not cheese ๐
Gem you get better before you think of us , have you managed any breakfast yet ? Xxx
Towels in the wash and everything done , decided after my shower to clean the cooker hood and put a new filter on ,
Hate the job itโs greasy and sticky but sugar soap sorts that .
We have a sort of little lean too shed at the back of our big shed B decided to sort that out and get stuff out for the tip ,
I wonโt go near it as itโs full of spiders ,
We keep our spare garden chairs in there so B has to get them out and brush them down for me .
Not sure what we will have for tea I may have a salad , B isnโt keen on salad unless it comes with chips ,
He likes a Salad sandwich and strangely when he was young he loved a ham salad but his tastes have changed .
Have a good Sunday ladies xxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning, you have been busy Oma, it is much cooler here, luckily, slight showers at the moment. I love any salads. I made a casserole the other day and just taken a portion out of the freezer for this evening.
Gem, take it easy until you feel 100%!
I have saved money this morning! A supermarket in the village has Euro week and they do have good offers, I got stocked up with coffee cups etc, grated cheese for when the girls come for wraps etc. Oh, and ice lollies as well. Then I came home and saw another supermarket has my favourite peanut butter on offer, it is the last day today so I went and got stocked up with that, luckily I have a storage rack in my shed! All in all I have saved? almost โฌ50.
I finished the last denim skirt off yesterday so now I want to sort a few things out to take to the UK with me.

Good Sunday morning, everyone. It's bright and breezy here - not warm though.
Nanto - we had quite a lot of rain last night and the lawn looks so much better for it - it was looking quite parched, in addition to the burn marks Eva leaves! I love jacket potatoes with almost anything, and it's nice to have a day off from cooking a big roast dinner.
Lizzie - you had a good morning in the supermarkets. It's always worthwhile stocking up on things you know you will use, and I bet the ice lollies are popular with the GDs even though they are young ladies now! When are you coming over to the UK?
Oma - cooker hoods are horrible! But it's great when you've just put a new filter in. OH usually does ours if I prompt him. How is SIL coping with his crutches?
Enfys - not long now till your family arrives from Australia. xx
Glamm - safe journey, dear. Have a wonderful holiday.
Gem - don't even think about posting here until you are better. Take care and look after yourself. I hate it when those horrible tummy bugs do the rounds.
DS1 and DIL may or may not come down today, so I'm getting on with my lengthy "To Do" list until I know what they're doing. Last night I ordered two runners for the hall floor. It's wood and OH has recently sanded and re-treated it. It looks lovely but it's a bit noisy, and Cooper won't walk on it. Plus we get a lot of debris being carried in from the horse chestnut tree outside the front door. I'd rather it ended up on the runner than right through the house. I also ordered some seat pads for some new garden chairs and a couple of cushion covers to replace some shabby ones in the living room. So I felt quite pleased with my shopping session!

Daisy, I sail a week tomorrow, the 27th, yes, the young ladies still like their lollies!!!! You have done well with the ordering, I love how handy the on-line shopping is. I was chatting to a neighbour yesterday, she will be 75 next month and needs a medical for her driving license, she said they expect everyone to be on-line and digital these days and apparently she isn't.

Gemini, I hope you will be feeling better soon, take care.
Daisy, nice to knock off a few jobs from the never ending list. Horse chestnuts are lovely but they are continually dropping bits.
Lizzie, well done for all those bargains, the girls will be pleased with the ice lollies. Not long before your trip to the UK
Nanto I like a jacket potato for a change, I often put tuna in mine.
Oma, poor spiders loosing their home. I like a hard boiled egg salad with mayo but I donโt have a sense of smell.
I am going to the Horses Trust with GD1 and family, they have an open day today with lots of activities including falconry and some Household Guards will be there, they have some retired military horses there. Some of the horses are huge. Needless to say I will not be taking an antihistamine tablet this timeWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Bit brighter here than yesterday. Pleased to say I have hot water today! Discovered the switch for the hot water at the boiler had switched itself off. I have no idea how as you have to climb up on the work surface to reach it! I have decided to get the boiler serviced anyway as I don't know when it was last done.
I remember going to the Horses Trust with GS many years ago Plant and yes, there are some big horses there.
I'm not keen on salads unless someone else has made it! I got a steak pie from one of the local butchers, so I'm having that tonight. Not the one I usually go to, but I was in the carpet shop next door and thought I'd give him a try. Lovely selection of meats.
Busy week ahead. Not sure what I'm doing for the rest of the day, may explore some of the footpaths round here. Whatever you're up to ladies, enjoy xx
ps hope all poorly people soon feel better xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good afternoon each.
We had the worst storm I have ever heard (I was in bed) last night. It was scary. DD1 and a friend had gone to a local festival and appropriately Wet Wet Wet were playing. ๐
Sorry to hear you have the lurgee Gem, I hope you feel better very soon.
I am a great fan of on-line shopping, even if I do end up sending most of it back. I hope yours is all perfect in every way Daisy.
WG, I managed to unknowingly turn of the boiler switch a few weeks ago. Luckily our SiL is a plumber and lives locally so it wasnโt too embarrassing!
I hope you enjoyed seeing the horses Plant.
I must start dinner. After a week of โscratchโ meals whilst OH was away, the thought of a proper dinner does not thrill me.
Have a pleasant evening ladies.

Oma, your poor SIl, it will be painful!xxx I will be in the UK for 4 nights, 5 full days actually. It will be strange for me without my car, but, I don't want to be flying about all over Yorkshire anyway. DS1 is taking me to the boat, GD's musical is in the afternoon so that is fine.
I do order clothes on line, usually from Zalando and I very rarely have to return items. I did buy a few t shirts at C&A in town a few weeks ago, I must say they are a very good quality.Last edited by Lizzie48; 19-06-2022, 04:18 PM.

I hope Gem and S are well on the mend now.
We've had a lovely but busy day with DS1, DIL and GS1, plus Bailey the BC here, and I'm more than ready for bed now. I've got my audiology check-up first thing in the morning, so if I don't get on here beforehand I'll come and catch up later. Sleep well, everyone. xx

Very good Monday morning everyone. I hope it's a good week for us all.
Nanto - your friend in the graphic looks very summery, but she'd be a bit chilly here this morning. It's sunny, but we've still got that cool wind. I do hope your gynae check goes well. Horrible but necessary - sending hugs.
Gem - how are you and S this morning? I hope no-one else in the family has caught the bug.

I woke up about 5 am again! Knowing we'd left the kitchen like a tip last night I got up as I was wide awake. Sometimes I don't notice when I am thirsty, but when I thought about it, I'd had very little to drink yesterday (no alcohol, either). I made a pot of tea for me and OH - and drank it all. I feel much better now, after my third cuppa. The kitchen is much tidier and I've cleaned the hob, so a good start to the day.
I've got my audiology check up this morning - everything seems ok, so I hope it won't take long. Then back home. I want to get a few jobs done round the house today as I shall be busy cooking later in the week. There isn't that much to do, but time has a way of slipping through my fingers and disappearing.
