No Tomorrow and Friday Lizzie. This is the same stuff in my hall 😁

MIL was a bit grumpy when we went in wasn’t happy we were there on a Wednesday for some reason
We took her BBQ chicken with veg , Lamb hot pot , Beef Stroganoff with rice ,
Chocolate cake , Apple pie and a trifle ,

She was pleased with them thankfully ,
We didn’t stay long as still had lots to do

Made her bed put bin out and put shopping away ,

Our Martin rang they were going with the baby after lunch so that cheered her up a bit 😁

          Just a quick update ,

Gem is still unwell , she spoke to a Dr today who said she can
start taking Imodium as she’s having to go to loo every two hours day and night so she is worn out .

She has started to have the odd nibble of food but feeling so tired ,
All she’s doing is watching a little TV between sleeping and loo .

Dr said it’s not unusual to be this long , that doesn’t help She’s worn out with it now and hating being poorly .
I have sent our love and I’m sure you all do too xxx

Get well soon dear Gem xx

Sorry to hear Gem is still poorly.

Oma,the flooring will look good when its done.

Had a lovely visit to DS2 and his partner.

After getting my jobs done,i spent quite a bit of time on the computer. got a bit behind yesterday, sorting hubby's phone.

Oma, thank you so much for keeping us up to date with Gem. I had no idea it would drag on like this for her, poor love. What a thoroughly nasty bug. It sounds like the sort of bug that has you running to the loo every time you eat or drink anything.

I really like your flooring - it will look so fresh and calm. The upheaval will be worth it.

Nanto - glad you've caught up on the computer.

Plant - GD is very mature for her age, but I do worry about the long-term effects all this might have, especially after nearly 2 years of Covid, and having only started her new school in September. She's now been away from her school for longer than she's been there, and that can't be good, can it.

It's been a lovely hot day here today. Definitely not the best day for the council to send someone to check and run the central heating in the hall where we have dog training! The council's solution was to say "leave the doors open" - on to a narrow lane with a 30 mph limit which is universally ignored!!

Morning ladies up earlysorted out for fitters , had a shower and put some washing in , it should be done by time they arrive .

so stuffy during night we only had a sheet over us and even that went on the floor ,
20 past 4 next doors cats who were out decided to sit under our bedroom window and scream at each other ,
one was sitting on our car hissing at the other 3 on the drive ,

I hope those away are having a lovely time and those under the weather are recovering .
What are we all doing today , any plans ? .

Good morning, Oma and everyone who drops in later.

Oma - I wonder what those cats were arguing about! Whatever it was, they didn't choose a good time or place, did they! I bet you can't wait for the floors to be finished and everything back in place.

Gem - how are you today? I hope you're beginning to feel better and stronger. Sending hugs.

I have a list of jobs today ready to start cooking for the party tomorrow. But things never go to plan, do they! I'll pop back later though.

Good morning, warm here and showers forecast later today. We all enjoyed the wraps last night and I enjoyed having the young ladies here! They left at 7-30pm on their bikes, I asked if I had to go part of the way with them, "nan, we are old enough to go on our own now", was the answer. GD2 is going to a theme park today with her school outing and GD1 goes to the Efteling with her school next week.

Daisy, it will be difficult for your GD to catch up on everything at school, when she can go again, mind you, they soon seem to settle in.

Oma, a hot night here, warm in the gym this morning as well.

I am going to the shopping centre in Zoetermeer then will call at friends on the way home for coffee.

Lizzie - what a lovely evening you had with your (growing-up fast) GDs. My GD1's head of house at school has said not to worry too much about catching up. Their first year is all about settling down, filling any knowledge gaps etc but GD was well ahead in most subjects. I hope she's right.

Enjoy your shopping and seeing your friends. xx

Just been sat in the garden having a coffee.
Going to crack on before it gets too warm to do anything.

Hope Gem starts to feel a bit better today.

                        I'll catch up later.

Oma baby Finn it’s very alert, lovely picture.

Love the flooring, hope you will be straight again soon.

Lizzie, sounds like a lovely evening with your girls

Gemini, I hope the Imodium is helping to clear up that nasty tummy bug.

Dull here today, aqua for me at 12.15 and if it doesn’t turn too warm I might go to bowling. Sil is back in a hard plaster, the hospital still can’t see if it has mended so they have put it back in plaster for two more weeks. DD is not best pleased, he can’t drive and it is their retirement party in two weeks. I hope he doesn’t decide to vault a harbour wall again, he is very fit but not a youngster now.

Daisy, I hope you GD has a good day today and many more.

What a lovely photo Oma.xxx I didn't buy anything in the centre, in fact I only went in TK Maxx and they didn't have what I wanted. I called at the friends on the way home, he is a grower, peon roses, the season has finished now. His sons have taken it over now as he is almost 79 years old, his wife is my age, she is in Switzerland at the moment on holiday with her 3 sisters. He doesn't believe in holidays, he has enough to occupy him here with the garden etc. I came home with fresh eggs and a bag of walnuts.

It is very hot, storms forecast for later.

My neighbour has just given me jars of pulses etc, she doesn't eat them anymore, I do and now have to find somewhere to store them.
