Oma, I hope your SIl is soon feeling better, it will take a while though me thinks.

Like you Enfys, not one for the heat, with the tights etc it is hot enough as it is! I have been sat sewing, I am surprised at what a noise my machines make!!! I must have been deaf a long time.

SIL went into work just to sit in the shop , he can hobble around on crutches ,
He rang B about 3.30 to go pick him up as he was in pain , DD was at a meeting and GS had a shift in work so couldn’t pick him up , He hadn’t taken any pain killers to work with him silly man .

we had a drive to a garden centre in the town we grew up in this morning ,
The road layouts and the area has changed so much we were not sure where we were at one point
Anyway we got there and I bought a small eucalyptus tree and a Jasmin plant ,
I didn’t realise how expensive shrubs and bushes and the likes are these days but I’m happy with them .

      Its overcast but so stuffy

Lizzie I bet your TV sounds loud too now , B couldn’t believe he had been so deaf till he got his ,
I hope they make things easier for you ,

Enfys sounds like a lovely birthday x

Gem how is S now ? Hope she’s feeling better .

Daisy how is GD is she feeling any better this afternoon .

I've finally had time to sit and read all your goings-on today.

Gem - how is S? Feeling much better I hope, and I also hope if it's a bug you don't get it as well. Thank goodness she was Covid negative.

Oma - poor SIL. Thank goodness it wasn't his Achilles heel - I think that can be a very slow healing process - but it sounds bad enough as it is and very painful. I guess he's just got to be patient while it heals up. It's unbelievable that the hospital don't supply a tubigrip. It's very helpful having a new driver in the family - DS1 and DIL have found it very useful, too.

Enfys, I'm so pleased you had a good birthday. It has been hot here too although there was a bit of breeze at DS2's today. Did you see the Red Arrows tonight? I intended to watch for them about 6 o'clock, but forgot and didn't hear them.

Glamm - you've judged the weight limit very well. What time do you leave on Sunday? The "Server not responding" message probably means that your browser (eg Chrome/Firefox/Safari/Opera/Microsoft Edge etc) wasn't able to establish a connection to the internet. It's usually caused by problems on the user's end, so it could be that you browser needs updating. Could your DS or DD have a look at it for you - it might just be a case of installing a newer version of your browser. I hope that helps. xx

Nanto - between your OH's DIY talents and your secretarial skills you make quite a team! You've certainly had a busy day so I hope those fairies have been helping.

Thank you all for asking - GD was much better today, and we had a lovely time, chatting and knitting. She finished her scrunchie and it looks really nice. I haven't quite finished mine though! The two dogs had a great time, despite the heat, and they're both shattered now.

I need to go and get dinner, but it's still very warm. A salad sounds good.

Whew! It’s been too hot for me.
I’ve had a lovely week, tomorrow OH will be home. He has had a great time but he says he probably won’t go again as the cost has gone up exorbitantly. £8 for a pint of beer! That would be enough to make me tee total.
I hope OH is feeling better Gem. We have a sickness bug doing the rounds here, 3 of my friends have succumbed this week.
Oma I hope the injured one is not in as much pain now. Glad to hear Daisy’s GD is feeling better today.
It’s bat flying time here, there goes one, I love to watch them. 🦇

Hallo everyone, it is still far too hot!! The forecast is for cooler weather next week. One thing the heat is good for, I have a waxed jacket, I have had it a long time but it fits me again so I have re-waxed it this morning and it is now hung in the hot sun to let the wax soak in.

Oma you asked about hearing the TV again, I do, even the clock in here and the keyboard as I type!!

Gem, I do hope that you are both feeling better today, the home where my friend is in, one part was closed to visitors the other day because of a stomach bug.

Nanto, I hope you enjoy the baby shower, they didn't have those in our days did they?

DS1 is at the boat with GD2, GD1 is away for the weekend with her friend and family, she will be enjoying that.

Gem - I'm so sorry to hear you've got the lurgy as well. Have you got everything you need in the way of shopping, meds etc? Sleep is nearly always the best medicine, though.

Lizzie - it's much cooler here today and it keeps drizzling with rain. I did two loads of washing first thing, and they've been like the Okey Cokey - in, out, in out and shaken all about!!

Nanto - enjoy the baby shower. I do hope the heat hasn't got to your GD too much.

Plant - I bet Baby H loved splashing about in the paddling pool on such a warm day.

Oma - it's been like that here today - one job leading to another, and another and back to the first one. Just off to mow the lawn, though.

Glamm - I hope you're already to go now. Have a wonderful holiday, great weather and I hope a smooth journey. xx

                            Back later.

Plant....I hadn't forgotten about lunch! I seem to have something being done in the house everyday for the next couple of weeks, so it may be sometime in July!

No hot water this morning, brrr! Someone else to call on Monday morning!

Gem, hope you and S soon feel better x

                              Glamm,enjoy your holiday.

Got caught in the rain this morning when I went for my paper. Now it keeps drizzling off and on. However, I have got things sorted out for charity shops and going in the loft when that's done next week. So not a wasted day.

Have a good evening ladies x

So sorry to hear you have the sickness bug Gemini.

Been down the hill to GD1, she needed some help with a tomato plant. We are planning to go to the Horse Trust tomorrow, they have an open day with lots of events.
