Oma, that is not good, I have an appointment on March 29th, I will see what he has to say!

I haven't gone totally AWOL today, but this is the first time I've had time to chat! I took the dogs out very early, came back, had breakfast and then got on with the gardening again. We got three of the four trees planted, but OH has dug the hole for the last one and I'll plant it tomorrow.

Dog training this afternoon - Eva was very good and did everything asked of her - has she earned one of those salmon steaks, Oma?

Lizzie - I do hope they can stop the echo you're hearing. It must feel very odd - a bit like when you've got a bad head cold? Unlucky timing with the bells.

Gem - I'm sure you've been on tenter hooks all day, but finally, finally everything will be over. I hope you're not too stiff tomorrow after the aqua class today.

Nanto - thank you for the lovely tulips graphic. Spring is definitely in the air. The ice cream is a bargain!

Plant - we don't have Farmfoods either! How did the appointment with the nurse go? Is she pleased with the way your hand is healing? Cutting the grass makes the garden look much tidier, doesn't it. How were the GGDs?

I think tomorrow is the first day for nearly two weeks with nothing in the diary, but I haven't checked with OH yet!!

We had a lovely sunrise this morning.

Not much to do today. Just the usual tidy round.
A couple of bits to pack and thats it.

Good morning, Nanto and all who follow.

I hope the lovely sunrise is just a taster for beautiful weather in Tenerife, Nanto. What time do you fly tomorrow?

The sun is shining here as well, after rain last night. That's perfect for our newly seeded lawn and new trees! OH is going to visit a sick friend this morning and I'll carry on with the gardening. I hope all this work now will mean less to do in the summer!

Gem - I hope the money transfer has gone through smoothly. xx

Nanto - at least you don't have to get up at 3 am or something silly, and you will be there in time for a relaxing evening to start your holiday.

                Good morning all.

How nice to be packing Nan2!

Don't overdo it in the garden Daisy.

The money went to mum's account late yesterday afternoon, so all is well
Reflexology for me this morning, then I need to go to the Halifax to sort something out regarding mum's banking. There is a branch of Farmfoods opposite the Halifax, so I will look in there.
I'm not going to visit mum today, as we are taking her out on Saturday this week.

I hope everyone has a good day.

What a relief Gemini, that is one less thing for you to worry about before your holiday.

Daisy, doing all that work on the garden should mean you can enjoy just pottering this year. Soon be time to get that caravan on the road.

Nanto, you will soon be up and away and into sunshine for a few days.

Dressing changed yesterday on my hand, it is looking less yucky but the nurse said it is over granulating, it has tiny red raised dots. Not sure what that means. I had wondered if I could bowl today but I don’t think I could get a good grip on the bowl with a bandage. The GGD’s were their usual delightful selves Daisy

Gem, so relieved for you that your Mum's house is finally sorted. I'm sure the reflexology is well-timed for today. Where are you taking your Mum on Saturday?

Oma - Eva says 'thank you very much' and if she could just find my car keys she'd be on her way! She was a very good girl at training yesterday, especially heel work and scent training. Your MIL is lucky to have family cooking nutritious meals for her.

Plant - yes, we hope for a summer of 'pottering', and we really can't wait to get out in the caravan this year. It was probably better not to bowl yesterday, but it must be frustrating. x

I hope everyone is ok and relieved it's a bit warmer and less windy than of late.

                        Good Afternoon everyone,
I have also been on gardening duties not doing it myself but supervising my GS3 clearing up the front & back gardens he has cleared both from weeds & stuff blown into the garden from the winds over the past few weeks he has made a really good job sorting all the tubs etc & storing them in the shed nice and tidy, the weather has been sunny so I was able to sit out in the sun and watch him working.

You will remember that I mentioned I had registered to adopt a little dog not too long ago well success !!! I am off on Saturday with DD & her partner to visit a little dachshund called Henry he is 14mths old and has been living with a couple not too far from me in Ellesmere Port he is not fond of the gentleman (he is not fond of men full stop) so I am going to see him, they have another dog who is much older and Henry does not really like him so depending if the visit goes well and they come here and like my home I shall have a new companion hopefully next week,it will be wonderful to have company after all this time.

Gemini so pleased for you and the house sale what a massive weight off your mind.
I don't think I could ever go through all that again its so stressful as well you know.

Enjoy the rest of the day xx glamma xx

Glamma, how exciting, I hope Henry fits in well with your household ☺️

Daisy, I really hope you get a few caravan trips in this year! We are taking Mum out to meet her best friend on Saturday, at the café we have taken her to a few times.

I think bowling could be tricky with a bandage Plant.

How was your BP Oma? Very kind of you to take the meals for MIL.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments about the house sale. It certainly is a huge relief. I felt a bit sad for a while last night, realising that after 64 years the house no longer belonged to our family. It had to be done though, and it's been a very long road.
Thanks also to the ladies ( Nan2 and Oma) who alerted me to Carte D'Or ice cream at 99p.. I got 3 tubs and a box of Almond Magnums. Bargains all!
