I had a lovely lunch out with a couple of college pals. The restaurant is right on the beach and the sea was fairly rough. There was certainly a strong wind blowing in. It was sad to see how much coastal erosion there had been in the recent storms, but with 120mph gusts there's bound to be some damage.

It's been our day for visitors. DS2 rang last night to say he would be calling.
Brother in law from the bungalow came just after DS2 had gone.
10 minutes after he had gone sister in law and her hubby came.
Our kettle has been non stop today.

Gem, i know how you feel about your mum's house.
On our way home from town,we called at dads to put the bin out.
I had a look in all the rooms,just in case it was the last time i would see them.
I felt quite sad for the rest of the afternoon.

Calling up to farmfoods this morning. They have the offer on again for Carte d'or tubs of ice cream for 99p.
Its usually around £3 in the supermarkets. I think i should be able to get 3 tubs in the freezer.
This is our favourite brand of ice cream.

Nan2, thanks for the Cart D'Or information. Its my favourite ice cream, I will take a trip to Farmfoods!
You will feel sad about your FIL's house. You are still grieving having lost him. I think my hardest time was when mum first left for the care home (very poorly) and again when we had the whole house to empty. It's just a house to me now really, although it is strange that I will probably never go inside again.

Today is COMPLETION DAY! I have to say I will only believe it when I see the money in mum's account.
Aqua this morning, this afternoon we will be informing energy, water and insurance companies and canceling mum's direct debits to them, paying this month's slightly late care home fees and repaying her debts to OH and myself.
Tonight there is Bucks Fizz, if all has gone to plan

Morning Nanto / ladies

Nanto I bought 3 tubs when we went on Sunday
Vanilla ,Salted Caramel and Rum & Raisin ,
They have Magnum Ice Lollies on too , I’m not sure if they were £1.39 or £1.69 now but so much cheaper than supermarkets or Iceland .

A lovely sunny day a bit of a nip in the air but it’s nice to see the sun .

We have the dog today so I have just sorted his lunch , Salmon steaks with rice ,
I bought a side of Salmon some weeks ago cut it into steaks to freeze , had a couple but wasn’t keen on them the texture was a bit soft ,
So rather than bin them Storm has been enjoying them .

He has ice cream for later too not my Carte d’or just a one I buy for him 😁

Good morning, thanks ladies, I have decided to keep the rug, I do like it now I am used to it, I have just got an orange throw whilst in the village.

I had an early appointment at the doctors, all noises "echo" in my head, it started with the sinus trouble in November. The doctor has informed the ear specialist so I will be getting an appointment.

Nan2, you would have a busy day with all the visitors.

Daisy, have you a "home" day today? I read about the coastal erosion, more about the Yorkshire coast though.

Oma, I am surprised all the local dogs are not calling at your door, salmon steaks indeed!

Lizzie, I hope the specialist can give you some relief from the echo in your ears, sounds very unpleasant.

I don’t think we have Farm Foods in this area, quite a bargain.

It was lovely to see all my Trefoil friends yesterday. Today I have an appt. With the practice nurse to change the dressing on my hand and then I am going to join some friends for a craft session. Later I will pop in next door to see the GGD’s. The garden is looking quite smart as Sil cut the grass yesterday so it now shows off the Spring flowers.

Lizzie that must be so annoying , my BIL had to have a op on his ear , there was a hole in some part or other and he could hear his breathing and heart beat like a loud drum beating , worse when he was trying to sleep as it was so noisy,
He could even hear his eyes opening and closing said it was like a crunching noise

Plant is your hand less sore now ?
Pleased you could see your friends again , I bet there was lots to chat about xx

Oma, mine isn't as bad as that! Just everything is an echo. I came home on the bike, cycling past the church they decided to ring the bells, my poor head.

Our aqua teacher worked us very hard today!!!
I came home then coloured my hair as well as having my shower.

No completion yet (although we are promised it will be today) so I'm just waiting on that.
OH is at a golf lunch and talk.
I will just wait! The owners are feeling very tense about it all, I don't blame them.

Lizzie BIL had a couple of really bad Motor cycle accidents caused rip in his ear to the brain and a hole somewhere didn’t heal ,
he is deaf in that ear now .
